TS3899 Emails wont stay open!

Like many others, my email has suddenly begun closing back to the home page after two seconds.....its driving me nuts!! There are no workable answers on here despite lots of replies. Ive delted and re-installed the account - seemed to stay open a tad longer.......they hey presto!!! Back to the home screen!! Help anyone please.....

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

I have a similiar problem. Hope you can help. When I load mail my touching the 'mail' icon the program loads and brings up my email all inboxes menu, however when I try to read an email it appears for a brief moment and then exits 'mail' and returns to the main screen. Any ideas? Just started happening.

Help! My ipad mail window wont stay open to read mail?

ipad has been sending & recieving mail with no problems but suddenly is recieving mail but when mail window keeps shutting down & won't stay open??? Any ideas???

Have you tried closing the Mail app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have elements 10, the organizer wont stay open for more that a minute, i open it closes.

Hi all, I have elements 10 and the darn organizer will not stay open for more than a minute, which makes useing the program a pain in the butt. does anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it. Im running XP on an older machine in which the edit part works fine.HELP

Hold down your Shift key while launching the Organizer to get to the Catalog Manager. Highlight your catalog at the bottom of the window, and choose "Repair". Repeat, using "Optimize".
If that doesn't solve it, from the Catalog Manager, create a new catalog (with a different name).

Ipod wont stay opened after 4.0 software download

After I downloaded the 4.0 software my iPod stopped working. The app will stay open for a few seconds and then shut down. It does it every time. The new update didn't help a thing. Anyone else having this problem? Anybody know what to do?

You still have not answered: Have you tried a reset? You should try this before a restore.

Yes, but if the problem persists then you would need to restore as new.
"and if so will all my apps still be there?"
They should be in itunes on your computer, so you would just re-sync them if need be.

Facebook app wont stay open during use

hey, i dont know whats going on with my facebook app on my iphone4s i have updated the app its self and its all up to date but everytime i go on it, it will stay open while im using it but during using it, it will close itself completely and whatever i was writing or looking at is gone when i re open it. It only does it to my iphone not my 5th gen of ipod.
i dont know whats going on but how can i stop it?
and does this happen to anyone else and if so how did you fix it?

Personally i have had this issue and it is with facebook alone. My app is up to date and my iOS is up to date. what i do to prevent this is make sure i have no other apps running in the background.
To check this double tap your home button and it will bring up the multitasking bar. Then hold your finger on an app until they start to shake and press the red "-" on all the apps.
This helps me out but if it doesnt work for you try a hard reset aswel:
- hold the home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time
- the phone will turn off and when the apple logo appears release both buttons

Hello is anyone else having the problem of the email no staying connected? I have re entered all of my information and it works for 5 mininutes then dis connects. How can we re-connect and how do we keep it connected?

My IPOD on the Iphone wont stay open to play music!!!

I recently updated my Iphone 3gS. Now, I try to open the IPOD app to play music and it closes after 3-4 seconds. Help!

Not sure this is the right fix for you, because for me the iPod app would stay open, but not play music when selected. I read in another thread a solution that worked for me.
Basically, you need to delete the music from the phone and re-copy from iTunes with 2 syncs. In the music tab, uncheck the boxes in the playlist, artist and genre option, removing all music from the phone, then sync. Then, re-check the desired music to copy back to the phone and sync. Music should play now from the phone.
I echo the sentiment of another poster that iOS4 really is a disaster. Problem like this should have been solved before release.

APP wont stay open after upgrade to 120GB HDD, Help

I just upgraded my main HDD to a 120GB seagate drive, everything seems to be working fine until I open my flash and photoshop and other programs. flash will not stay open, as soon as it opens it quits right away. I re-installed the program and re-start the computer but it still does the same thing. Other program like photoshop and InDesign says it can not sync with the color pallet because the file is missing. I used color sync utility and repaired all profiles. but photoshop and indesign still says they can not sync color due to missing files.
Does anyone have exprience with this problem? All my other apple apps seems to be functioning normally.

PS: when I upgraded to the 120GB HDD, I installed osx tiger on the new drive and used migration assistant to transfer all the data from the old 30GB HDD.

Hi, Im having a problem with my e-mail on my iphone 3Gs 16mb. Everytime I try using the mail it just opens and goes straight back to the home screen. I have tried resetting the phone and its settings, I have tried deactivatin my email account and starting again, and I have tried restoring it via iTunes twice and it still doing it! ;o( I spoke to vodafone and they say its a software problem and are sending me a new phone, but sinse, I have tried it woth 2 other talktalk emails like mine and they work OK! so I dont really understand why mine wont. I have only had the phone about 2 weeks and the emails have worked fine, up until yesterday, I have even tried deleting a load of e-mails from my computer to see if that works , but still no gain. any one got any ideas, just odnt one a new phone to arrive for it to be still same problem. thank you for reading....

Maybe a corrupt or over-sized email which is crashing the email App as soon as it tries to download it.
Log-on to your email providers webmail interface on your computer and look for any suspect emails and delete them (download them to your computer first if you need to keep them).
Also, have you set the account up for POP3 or IMAP? Use IMAP if possible.

When I open my iTunes, and the itunes store begins to load, the store and my library automatically close. It stays on for about a second, then closes by itsself. I cant even get to my library for more than two seconds without it closing. Please help, very frustrated. Thank you!

ok i deleted /Libraries/Receipts/iTunesX.pkg and deleted the iTunes i had tried to download and install then re-downloaded iTunes again and it still won't open. should i delete iTunes3.pkg and iTunes4.pkg too? am i doing something wrong? this is incredibly frustrating, i feel like i've deleted all this stuff off my comp. but nothing does anything

Try a reset, which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.

Pse 10 wont stay open

......if it opens at all. laptop is above min spec for pse 10.
sometimes it opens fine
sometimes it gets to the selection screen and when you choose say ORGANISE, it shuts down
sometimes it just doesnt open at all
when it does it will only allow you to see a 3X2 view or lower in the organise screen, any more and you just get hour glasses
this is a real bummer i have paid £100 for this and premiere which does the same errors that elements does

Bypass the Unwelcome Screen by creating Desktop shortcuts for the Organizer and the Editor, and restarting your computer.
The Editor's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The Organizer's executable is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
The Unwelcome Screen leaves a zombie process running which prevents the actual program from launching again.
