TS3899 How can I see again the emails sent from my MacBook Pro on my iPhone 4?

Hi. I have a iPhone 4 connected to a Yahoo email account. I used to be able to see the emails sent from the device on the sent mailbox and the emails sent from the MacBook Pro on an automatically created folder called "Sent Messages" that disappeared. I tried deleting the account and creating it again, both on the computer and on the iPhone, but the problem persists. Any idea on how I can solve this problem?

On your Mac
in your Mail App, open the folders on the left hand side, by clicking SHOW on top.
GO down, where your email acount is and unfold.
Select the SENT folder. If you cant find it, it means it's already used as your SENT folder. Skip next step.
In Mail App Menu select MAILBOX -> USE THIS MAILBOX FOR -> SENT
Maybe that does the trick?

You can redownload previously purchased apps from the App Store using the same Apple ID on all your authorized Macs for free.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Upgrade your RAM to at least 4GB's. Your machine can support 6GB's, but upgrade to 4GB's first. Regardless of what Apple says, you need at least 4GB's to run Lion properly.

IBooks from Australia and the USA - how can I see all of my collection on my MacBook Pro?

I am Australian. I began using iBooks in Australia by purchasing books through the Apple store in Australia on my iPhone.
In those days I had a PC running windows, and used to sync my iPhone on iTunes in Windows 7.
Later, I moved to Illinois in the USA. I also changed from using a PC to using an Apple MacBook Pro.
So these days I sync my iPhone with my MacBook.
I now have a mixture of books on my iPhone. Some purchased from the Apple Store in Australia, and some purchased from the Apple Store in the USA.
I can see and read ALL of my books on my iPhone.
But I can only see and read the 5 books I purchased since living in the USA on my MacBook Pro.
My login and password are exactly the same for the Australian Store, for the USA Store and for iCloud.
How can I see and read ALL my books on my MacBook Pro here in Illinois?
My iPhone is running iOS version 8.1.2
My MacBook is running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1

I carried out your suggestions.
A strange thing resulted.
Just one (1) of my 34 books on my iPhone now appears in the iTunes list of books on my Mac, and subsequently was moved to iBooks on the MacBook Pro.
This happens to be the book I am currently reading. So at least I can get on with reading on either device.
But I am mystified why only one book was copied across.

Email sent from my macbook pro does not appear on my ipheon

I have AOL mail.
All inbox mails appear on both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone (and if I log in to AOL mail).
But mails SENT from my MacBook do not appear on the iPhone (they used to). And mails sent from my iPhone do not appear on my MacBook.
Mails sent from my MacBook used to appear as "sent messages" on the iPhone.
Does anyone know please if this is an AOL problem or an Apple "settings" problem? I have not, to my knowledge, changed anything myself.

10.6.3 is pretty old for this machine but shouldn't create this problem.
So you did this:
Reset SMC

If no joy then:
Try a hard reset. Disconnect the battery (take the bottom off and unplug, use your fingernail.) and power adapter. Press the power button for 1 minute. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes, Reconnect and try to start up.
No? - Go through the same procedure and try to start without the battery connected.
The addendum to this would be to try a known good battery.

How do I boot up the iBook G4 from my MacBook Pro?

Hello, and thank you in advance for your help. I have an old iBook G4 with a display that doesn't work, and I have been googling all day for an answer to this - I want to either remote desktop or use my MacBook Pro as an external display.
I +don't think+ that I want to use target disk mode (which does work), but you may persuade me otherwise, if I'm able to use the iBook in some way like that. I have tried this, but I can't open up system preferences as it's an older version of the software...
Background:
1. I have VGA connectors for both machines, and also a connector cable.
2. I have Firewire to Firewire cable
3. I have Ethernet cables
4. The MacBook Pro is connected to the internet, but I'm finding it impossible to connect the iBook, because I can't see the screen.
5. I'm pretty sure that the iBook G4's logic board is the reason the display doesn't show, but when I opened it up, there was already a shim over the suspect chip? Looked like someone had already tried a repair on it, even though I bought it new. Bizarre. I've also tried a very simple solder reflow method with a soldering iron, but neither of these worked. Luckily, the iBook still boots, but doesn't display still.
6. So my last resort is to try to use it with an external display - but I want to test this first, before I buy one, and the only thing I have is my MBP....
7. MBP software is at 10.6.2, iBook G4 is 10.1 I think, but it's been two years.

How can I successfully reapply the thermal paste in my MacBook Pro? (2008)

I'm having issues with keeping my computer cool, mainly while playing games like SC2 that require a good amount of power. I've downloaded fan control apps, bought cooling pads (usb powered) and still no luck in cooling this thing down. I recently learned that Apple for some reason applies the thermal paste too thick, which can cause the computers to be a lot hotter than they should be.
I'm not worried about voiding warranty, seeing as I don't even have a warranty. I've already opened it up to upgrade the ram and the hard drive so I know my way around inside there and have the stuff I need in order to do it properly.
What I need to know is where I can get the thermal paste, what kind I need, how it needs to be applied and with what (as well as how to get the old paste off), the steps I need to take in order to get to where this paste is even at inside the computer...etc.
If there's anyone who's already successfully pulled this off, lemme know how you did it and if it helped any. I've read there've been significant temp drops since reapplying it in a lot of these pros, so I'm just interested.

I’ve yet to remove the heatsinks of the CPU and GPU on my MBP. But I’ve replaced CPU and GPU heatsinks on my PC many times, so hopefully you’ll find my suggestions helpful.
1st use the laptop for a bit to get both the CPU and GPU warmed up so it will be easier to remove the heatsinks.
Remove the back cover and run your hands over the back side of the metal cover few time to get ride of any static charge that might be there (or any unprinted metal surface will do).
Remove the screws and heatsink one at a time. You might find the thermal past dried up (happens when company used cheap past and after computer is used for few years). Use tissues to wipe the past off both cores and heasinks.

I normally use Arctic Silver Thermal Paste, I found it's the best past around, and everybody I know are happy with it.
There are two ways to apply the past. If your CPU is a Core2Duo, than you can just put a little bit on the center and press down with the heatsink. This is because the 2 cores on the CPU are located near the center of the processor so it does not matter if the edges are not covered with past.
Or if you want to play safe, you can cover the enter CPU with an even thin lay of past using a flat plastic card.
When it comes to thermal past, less is more, you only want little bit to cover up the metal cover on the processor. I say no more than 0.5 mm thick.
Cover the entire GPU with past as well, I’m not sure if the RAMs on your graphic card are cooled by the heatsinks. If they are, you might need some thermal pads for them.
You’ll find the whole process quite easy as long as you take your time. You can found lots of info on this with Google and Youtube.
Good luck and don’t forget to give the heatsinks a clean with a can of compassed air before you put them back on.

How can i see text messages people sent from when my phone was turned off?

i was abroad for the past 3 months, and my phone was turned off (NOT deactivated). when i got back i received one text from 5 minutes before i had turned the phone on. I know for a fact that i should have received numerous texts/picture messages, etc. Is it too late to receive these in some way? There are also voicemails but i can accept that these are gone forever. Are pending texts/ whatever deleted after a certain amount of time?

If the text message is not able to be delivered for 5 days, it is deleted - so only the most recent days would be coming when when you turned the phone back on. New voicemails would be saved until the mailbox is full, I would think.

Nothing is wrong on your end. The problem is the way they have set up their email program to display their emails.

Delete message permanently
Settings>Mail......>tap the little arrow on right of mail account>Archive Messages>OFF
You can't set it to less than 50 Recent Messages.
