I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.

Once these steps are processed, attempt to send the photo again.

Help, I can no longer send/receive images in messenger on my iphone 4

I have noticed that I can no longer send or receive images in messenger on my phone since the first IOS 7 update. Now i'm noticing that I can not send/receive anything other than text. Also, I can not receive the messages that are sent to a group, which is bad since my boss only sends group messages when we are closed for weather.
I have updated to the latest IOS 7.0.6 tonight but not sure what to do to start sending images again. I would really like to be able to share some of my pics with others and not have to post them to facebook. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much for your time.

Hi Just delete photos from iPad without using your PC you can get them back from iCloud. Since ios 7, When you charge your iPad it Automatically backs up to iCloud. I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case...

The error I see is you did not specify the proper authentication for the smtp server.
In the Mail preferences for the account, smtp popup, select Edit SMTP Server List. A sheet will drop down. Select Advanced tab on that sheet. You should, I assume, set the Authentication to password, and set the proper username and password. That's where the poper would be set if 587 is not the one you should be using. Maybe it is. I only bring it up since I see it trying to use port 587.
If you got this stuff already set correctly then I don't know. Mail has a problem in your setup. Maybe delete the account and recreate it from scratch.

My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite.

I have 5 email accounts set up on my imac. 3 are mine 2 are my partners. I can no longer send emails from my accounts but my partner still can. They all still receive mail but when I attempt to send mail I get:-
Cannot Send Message Using Server
Then i'm asked to select a different server from a list. I have tried all but to no avail.
I first of all deleted my partners sky.com account because it appeared to me that this was maybe overiding all other accounts and it was no longer needed on imac.
I then deleted one of my accounts - hotmail, to see if i added it again maybe it would work but now I cant even re add the mail account as everytime i go to mail, preferences account to set it up again the initial screen comes up with my partners details including the sky.com username and when i overwrite these and try to install hotmail acount I get told that logging in failed check user name and password is correct. Which they are.
All used to work fine but now I have these problems, they appeared to have started when my partner set up an icloud account and is synching with this - could this be the cause?

My phone won't send any email anymore. In fact, when I compose a message and hit send it just disappears. No record of it anywhere.
