I have just added an exchange email account to my new IPad2. I am able to receive emails but I am not able to send messages from this account. I have the exact same account set up on my Old IPad and iPhone and am ble to send and receive. My work (where the server for this account is) gave me the IPad and set up the apple account. What am I missing?
You might want to try removing they email account and setting it back up again

There are two ways that a backup can become encrypted:
You chose to encrypt it, then forgot the password.
If you have company-provided MS Exchange access your IT department has the option of requiring your backup to be encrypted. The first time you backed up or synced after installing MS Exchange you were prompted for a password. That is the password you need.
If you don't have the password any longer there is no way to restore the backup. -

I stared using charter for email January of this year. At that time I was able to attach word documents, but not jpg files. In the last 2 months now I can't attach word documents, either. I tried to send word docs from a yahoo mail account I created to see if the problem was with charter -it's not. I have the exact same problem with yahoo mail. Is there anything going on with Mozilla that's preventing mail servers access/reading capabilites of my files?
Can you access the images on the phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder) ?

Apologies for poor syntax, my arm's a little sore. Yes, one computer (old) is vista, new is Windows 8. Shouldn't I be able to import the whole library using home sharing? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance
I am having the same issue. I recently purchased a new laptop and I have spent the last 3 days using the home share to slowly transfer all 22,000 songs. However yesterday morning when I turned on both computers to continue the process I am having the following issue:
both computers are running the same windows OS (8)
both computers are running the same version of itunes
both computers are logged in with the same apple ID
both computers have home sharing turned on
Now however I can see the NEW computers itunes library in the drop down box on the OLD computer, however I can not see the OLD computers itunes library on the NEW computer. I can no longer see "HOME SHARES" on the drop down LIBRARY list on the new computer. I've taken the following steps to correct the error:
reset the router
completely shut down BOTH computers and brought them back up
reopened itunes
re-logged in on both PC's
re-activated both PC's with home share
The articles and help from the apple sites are worthless and it says if you can't see a library just turn home sharing off then back on - I've completed the above steps NUMEROUS times. After spending 4 days on transferring my music I really do not want to have to start over by using an external hard drive and then importing that way. I would like some help on discovering why the new laptop is no longer seeing my old library. (When it has been working up to this point)

I purchased a new desktop computer, downloaded iTunes, authorized the computer thru iTunes, but, unable to sync with iPad3. I get a message stating "sync will resume when OWNER HP in on-line. That was the old computer, which no longer has iTunes on it. What can I do?
You still have to make the new computer and the iTunes library the new syncing library. Did you transfer all of your content into iTunes yet or copy the iTunes library from the old PC to the new one?

If you did tranfer everything over, you probably have to set up WiFi syncing again in iTunes in order for the iPad WiFi settings to see your new computer. -
I don't understand what is happening! This worked fine before I downloaded IOS7.
Try this:
1) Settings
2) General
3) Reset
4) Reset Network Settings
This will reestablish the link for the cellular connection and the cellular data as well as the saved WiFi connections will be reset.
Also Check this:
1) Settings
2) Messaging
3) Ensure iMessage is turned on (sometimes it will turn itself off for some reason)
4) Press on Send & Receive
5) Ensure that all emails you want to be reached at as well as your phone number are listed there
Remember that iMessage requires a data connection so with out either cellular data or WiFi it will not work. -
I can't call to a mobile number since yesterday, but still can receive call from the same number. I am using iphone 4s. Is there any setting error?
you have to make sure that CFWD Bridge Mode under the Line tab of the SPA9000 where the SPA400 is registered is set to ALL...include VMSP Bridge and XFER Bridge Mode as well..power cycle then check if you are still getting one-way audio

My wife and I both have the new iPhones. Is there a way to set up two separate iCloud accounts but have photo stream from both phones sync with one family mac? So, we don't want to share contacts or anything else, just photos... Thanks in advance
If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

I have the new iPad . I don't know how my sister's apple ID was set. I have all under my iTunes account but when i need to update my apps, a different apple ID come up! how do i change that?
Hi maggieanntb, your sister's Apple ID came up because an app(s) was downloaded using her account. To prevent that from happening, you would have to delete the app(s) that were downloaded on her's, and re-download them using your own Apple ID.

I just updated my Mac Mini to latest software, tried updating GarageBand. It downloaded but now it gets stuck downloading the 'essential sounds and loops'. It always worked fine before I updated and would really appreciate some help. Thanks

I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. When setting up the new 4S, I choose to restore my last 3G backup. It started by updating the OS to version 5.1 (9B179) then restored my apps and setting. Everything went well except that I realized I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S, like FaceTime, HD video and Siri.
What should I do to correct this?
Thank you in advance for any help on this.Ah, FaceTime is not an app, either. It's accessed by tapping the FaceTime button when you are in the contacts app and have selected a contact. This can also be done from the Phone app under the Contacts tab, or during a call, you can switch to FaceTime.

I have the new iPad3 with Verizon. I am constantly having problems trying to connect to 3G. I had no problems like this with my older iPad and AT&T as the carrier. In fact, I find that if I cannot connect via Verizon, I can pick up my original iPad and connect right away ! Anyone else having this problem?

When I bring up Safari on my IPAD2, the web page comes up, but I can't scroll down the page. This just started today. No matter what web site I go to, the content is darker than the navigation pane.
If it's happening on all sites, then assuming that it's Safari that you're using, have you tried clearing it's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (other browsers should have similar options, possibly within the actual app instead of within Settings). You could also try closing the app completely : from the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app (or whichever browser you're using) to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's only happening on a particular site then there may be content on that site that isn't supported on the iPad e.g. flash, java, silverlight
