Finally went to the Apple shop where a nice young man explained that I had to use the original password not the recently changed password - case sensitive too - and finally have installed the updated Adobe Flash player with no shaking! Maybe this helps you too. JL

When I used to click onto the Internet Firefox icon to get onto my home page, the top of the screen gave me a click on-link direct to my hotmail email a/c. For some reason that has disappeared. Perhaps the button was on your Bookmarks Toolbar. Can you make sure that bar is displayed? You can turn toolbars on and off using any of these methods to display a toolbar list:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar, or the "+" button on the tab bar
* "3-bar" menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
* tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar temporarily, then View > Toolbars
Does that help?
Also, you can access your Hotmail account using http://hotmail.com/ and Microsoft will redirect you to the secure login page.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Why do I get the message "Cannot send mail, the user name and or password for my email outgoing server is incorrect"? I use the same account, etc. on my iPhone and haven't any trouble sending mail.

If your email requires a password for the SMTP server you can set it up in the settings in the General mail setup. Some i.e Gmail require a password for SMTP.
Otherwise you will probably get better answers in the iPad forum.

Deauthorize Audible Account... always appears as a menu selection, even if you deauthorized Audible or never even had an account.
Audible is a different account from iTunes and does not require the same username / password.

After Upgrade Cloud Control from 12.1.0.3 to 12.1.0.4 the user name and password have to be entered more than once

Hi everybody,
we recently upgraded our Cloud Control from 12.1.0.3 to 12.1.0.4.
Now we have the following, a little bit strange behaviour.
Everytime we want to log into Cloud Control we have to enter our password more than once.
Sometimes even more than twice.
It alawys says user name and password are required
Does anybody has the same problem?
I didn't found anything on MOS. So any advice or answer is appreciated.

We have seen similar issue when we use non-certified browsers for accessing 12c console
Use certified versions of IE with EM 12.1.0.4 Cloud Control. for instance, Microsoft Internet Explorer 10.*, 9.*, 9 and 8 versions only.

Email account has disappeared

I was trying to send email with a large amount of photos which I was copying from my phones picture gallery and then my email account disappeared. When I click icon for mail it opens as a blank screen. I've re booted and deleted account and reinstalled but still nothing although if I click on a photo and click share it allows me to email the picture. Can anyone help?

The icon on your desktop is an alias, look on your Dock for Mail. If it has been removed from your Dock then navigate to Applications + Mail and drag Mail to the Dock. If you somehow have lost your Mail use your Time Machine backup to restore it.

My desktop went down and rebooting I have found that my email accounts have disappeared from Thunderbird.

My desktop PC powered down without warning. When I rebooted and tried to use Thunderbird it prompted for a new account but I have 2 email accounts set up on the mail tool and neither is displaying the foldrs or emails. i tried restarting and shutting down and rebooting with no change. At the moment the only i have emails is on the web but tend to use the mail tool finding it more flexible. Can you help in finding how to recapture my accounts and emails?

Why would the way I get my email change overnight? I used to be able to access it immediately upon touching the mail icon. Now a screen appears with several email account options.

Does the account still show on the right-hand ide of Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars - and if it does if you tap on it and select it is Mail still 'on' for it ? If it's 'off' then changing it to 'on' should get the account to show in the Mail app again.

I am getting the same message when I try to log in thru www.comcast.net on Safari, the Comcast Xfinity app and adding Comcast to my email accounts. I've also turned the phone on and off with no good results. My husband had the same problem and finally opened a Gmail account and had his Comcast email forwarded there. Have you tried adding your comcast account using the built in IOS mail app.
If you're using the Comcast Xfinity app, then look at their support site or ask the app developer.

Disappearing User Name and/or Password

This issue started in 10.5.2 and continues in 10.5.3 after using the combo updater. Many times when i wake my computer or cold/hot boot it, i type my user name in and then try to type in the password in to the password area and WHILE i am typing in the password the user name disappears! I cannot even figure out where to begin to solve this. I tried using Onyx to delete the caches and delete the DS store files but it didn't help. Any suggestions on where to start?

But to help you the default is USERNAME is left blank and PASSWORD is admin
And if that doesnt work using a toothpick or pen tip, press and hold the reset button on the back of the roter for 30 seconds to reset everything back to default.

Email notification has disappeared from my home sc...

My phone had a bit of a meltdown this morning when I tried to access my email. It completely froze and then wouldn't come back on for ages, even with taking the battery out etc. Eventually it did come back on and then I couldn't access my email at all!
After leaving the phone alone for ages, I can now access my email (although I did reinstall Nokia Messaging to do so), but the notifications are not appearing on my home screen at all. I've checked my settings and they're all set up for email to be shown, but there's nothing there.
My phone is running on v31 software. Can anyone help please?

How do I eliminate firefox from remembering user name and/or passwords on certain web pages that I have PREVIOUSLY checked to REMEMBER usernames, settings, and/or passwords?

I have selected "remember" when the question was "Do you want Firefox to remember the password for "__________" on ___.com.
I NO LONGER want firefox to remember the password on some of those sites. HOW DO I CHANGE THIS so that the password IS NOT REMEMBERED?

Options > Security - click the Saved Passwords button. You should be able to remove anything there that you want.
By the way, Firefox 3.6 is now up to version3.6.20. It would be a good idea to get 3.6.20.
