TS3899 Unable to read emails on iPhone.

I have internet access and everything works fine on my iPhone except that when I click on the mail icon, after a few seconds it turns blank and takes me back to the home page on my iPhone. I turned the power off twice and the problem continues and I am unable to read any of my emails on my iPhone.

Recently, I have become unable to send emails from my comcast email account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the account, but get an error (Cannot send. Username or password for Comcast invalid). The username and password are correct, though, as my email works fine on my non-Mac laptop. Any suggestions?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Unable to read email on iphone4

For the past few days I have been unable to read my email messages on my iphone.
New messages are displayed, along with the preview, but when I click on a message I am unable to read it on my phone.
Does anyone know what this might be caused by?

I have been having the same problem for the last two days. Co-worker of mine had the same problem and recommended deleting and re-registering accounts all over again. Unfortunately, it didnt help. Hopefully someone knows how to fix this.

TS3899 unable to send email

How can I fix this problem? I followed the troubleshooting steps to send an email from my iPhone 5 and it still isn't going through. As iTunes suggested, I restarted my iPhone 5 and deleted my hotmail account. Re-entered it, all user name and password is correct, I receive emails but can't send them out. I have tried everything I could and still get the error message saying "unable to send email". Please help! It's is frustrating, I feel helpless!

Were the email account settings you manually entered when creating the account with the iPhone's Mail app confirmed when doing so?
If so, any error message provided when the iPhone's Mail app checks the account for new email?

Unable to read email

I am unable to read most of my email especially my pictures, this is the ERROR: This item cannot be displayed in the reading pane. The item has not been received from the server.
After 2 or 3 minutes some will "unlock" so I can read it or some will just disappear or never open.
Can anyone help me? My job depends on my email.

TS3899 unable to receive hotmail from iphone 4s. its keep spinning with error the connection to the server failed. Some time it downloads old mails.

I am unable to receive email from hotmail. It is spinning with checking for email message. Some time it downloads old emails and then those emails disappears and redownloads. some times shows connection to the server failed. From laptop there are no issues with account or email. Any ideas?

When I read email on iPhone, I want it to be marked as read in Outlook

I keep thinking I've found an answer on here, but to no avail, I cannot find a discussion that meets my needs.
Here's the deal. I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder. lol
Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask.
Here's my issue: When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read.
I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing.
Please help!
Also, it would be phenomenal if you could also help me find a way to toss work emails in folders I have set up on my Outlook, as well.

If it is an Exchange account or an IMAP account, read/unread marks synchronize with the server and all clients set up to access it via IMAP or Exchange protocols. If one or more of the clients is using POP3, then unread marks do not synchronize. Same goes for the ability to see and file to folders.
How are you set up to access your work e-mail in Outlook?

Error message states: "The sender address (mine) was rejected by the server". I use Outlook and my ISP is comcast.

You need to check with your email provider for the proper settings to use on your iPhone. You need to set the phone up to authenticate to the SMTP (outbound email) server.

Yesterday I changed my email password on my PC. After which I went to settings on my iPhone 5 and changed there the password (for the new one).
I can receive but not send emails... What's the problem?

Comcast can be interesting sometimes. They have been my provider, and have had some issues, especially when they changed the port number they use for mobile devices. They have a support page specifically for the iPhone settings, but you may want to delete the account from the iPhone and re-enter it, making sure to enter the username and password everywhere it asks for it, even where it says optional. See this picture for SMTP settings for Comcast.

Generally I check my email on the go on my iphone. When I go on my iMac and open up mail all the emails I have read pop up as unread and this is very annoying especially when I have lots of emails. This is through an email account which is @live.co.uk

If that's the case, sounds like you have POP accounts set up (or 1 device may be set up as POP). Is that correct? If so, see if they have any preference setting you can make to mark message as read when downloaded to any device, but not remove from the server per your timeframe settings. You would need to set that on both devices if possible. I don't have any POP account set up, so I cant verify the setting.

Adobe unable to read email attachment

I want to know how to get adobe to read my email attachment. Adobe reader says it is either not a supported file type, or that the file has been damaged. What do I do?

Hi Pat. The one that is opening is an email opening in wordpad or docx. The other three don't seem to open right away. I have to go through adobe. They are doc. All four from a distance appear to be microsoft word documents. I don't understand about the file association being correct or not. They all look similar, but apparently one is different and opens while the other word documents do not.
