TS3899 Upgrade to ios6 got the following problems in my ipad2 . Very low download speed. Can not open my apple mail in my iPad.
Upgrade to iOS 6 encountered the following problems in my ipad2.
(1) very low download speed
(2) I can not open my apple gmail in my iPad.
(3) I can't download new apps from Internet.
Have tried your suggestion of toggling but unfortunately that has not solved the problem - but many thanks for the suggestion.

Oh no! I'm sorry to see there's a lot of confusion here and data shared, x-rayDon. We can definitely work to fix. This happens when two devices share the same Apple ID, so she will need to reset hers. She can do so by assessing this link Apple - My Apple ID. You will need to decide who will keep the account if want separate Apple IDs since purchases cannot be shared unless you do Family Sharing.

To turn off "Find my iPhone" and its associated Activation Lock you need the Apple ID and password that were used to turn it on. Will upgrading my OS fix the following problem...
The problem: I want to log into a WPA2-encrypted wireless network. I have a 1ghz G4 powerbook with an older airport card that runs at B speeds only, which is fine. Speed isn't the issue. It's the WPA2 that's an issue. I'm running 10.3.9 and will happily upgrade to whatever the next version is that's coming out soon if I can expect WPA2 support.
My husband is running 10.4.something and he is able to use our WPA2-encrypted network, but he's got a newer powerbook with a newer airport card, so I don't know if it's the hardware or the software that matters.I was hoping to avoid buying a newer card because I don't want anything in the pcmcia slot. If I could upgrade the airport card itself, that would be fine, but I don't think I can.
It's sad, really. This is the one and only thing that's starting to become a problem with this powerbook. I have no need to upgrade the machine in any other way. It works and satisfies my needs perfectly fine in every other way except that I really want WPA2/AES. Does anyone know of any third party software that could do what I want? I didn't think this would be hardware dependent as I was recently able to flash a bridge so that it would support WPA2 (although I think it was originally able to support WPA, if that matters at all).
If I have to buy an expansion card, then I will, but if I can go with a software solution, I would much prefer that. -
Yesterday I noticed that my mbp 2011 dos not sleep when closing the screen cover. Today I Turner my laptop in. However the fan was working loudly and stayed loud. After Start I noticed an X on Battery symbol. Clicking on it, it showed 'no battery.' I found out that a potential solution for this problem was SMC reset. I also noticed that the leds on magsafe was not lightning. Despite this I tried to execute the smc reset as described on apple support site. Switching off, plugin the magsafe connector, pushed the buttons shift + alt+ ctrl + power. Then i pushed the power button, but my mbp is not turning on. I pushed several times on the power button but nothing works. The magsafe is also dark meaning the leds not lightning. Can anyone here help me on this ?
Problem solved by my own. But do not how :) magsafe again working and the laptop tooo

I had two iCloud account - one on my iPad set up with Me.com. Its a long story as to why I had two account which I will not the issue. I changed my iPad account to link up with my MacBook Pro account - which is my primary account. After doing this all seemed OK except I could not get y primary iClould email account set. When I tried to add my primary iClound email account it only allows you to add a NEW iClould account which is not what I want.
How do I correct this issue? Thanks.Thanks Winston but your solution did not work. In my iCould account everything works except Mail - that being contacts, calendar, reminders, etc. When it comes to mail it is currently OFF. When I turn it ON, it states that I need to create a NEW free iClound account, and allowing me to establish my existing account.
When I tried your solution, it stated that the account already exists but in reality it is not on my iPad.

Can not open any files following Disk Repair! Help!!
Hi. My iMac has failed to boot up a couple of times recently. I have used the Disk Repair utility to solve it twice. Both times it found errors and repaired them but the second time when I boot up normally again I can not open 99% of my files, from spreadsheets to videos. I can see the files in finder but if I click on them nothing happens. Also Finder behaves strangely jumping back to higher folder levels by itself. I can use my yahoo mail account to attach files to an email, send them to another machine, download them and they are fine so it seems like they are still there but my imac can't understand what they are in order to open them. Any ideas? - I have about 900 gig of files that i'd rather not email on by one to get them back!!! Thanks. Alex
You should not be running without a backup, preferably a bootable clone on an external hard drive. Some have redundant backups, one a clone, the other Time Machine, on two different external drives. I have clones on two externals. Drives can fail without notice at any time and everything goes down the drain.
You can use free/donationware Carbon Copy Cloner.

After upgrading to ios 6.1, I experienced the following problem: I am no longer able to read the magazine I subscribed (The New Yorker) if I don't have access to internet. If the iPad is on FlightMode I can't read the magazine or the books in iBooks. Can you help me?
I am having the same problem. I have a 2nd generation ipad wi-fi only. All was working great until I upgraded. NONE of my downloaded magazines or rss-feeds are accessible. For the magazines, their icons show up on the "shelves" but once you click on one it wont even take you to the "issues" i have downloaded. it jumps back to the shelf page.

I recently purchased an upgrade to Photoshop CS6. (Dec 9 2014). I have today downloaded the file (Photoshop_13_LS16.7z

When I tried to run the file (Winzip) I got the following message
"Installer failed to initialise. Could be due to a missing file. Please download Abobe support adviser."
I tried to do that and it told me Adobe support adviser no longer exists.
Could you please advise a solution.Extract it to a different location inside a dedicated folder and make sure to not destroy the file and folder hierarchy inside the archive. also run the install with sufficient user privielges and security stuff turned off.

Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the following problem and knows a solution. I know a few friends who are also having the issue so its obviously something wrong with IOS7.
Basically I have an iphone 4 and upgraded to v7 and most recently v7.0.2. When I am on calls the phone started to beep and vibrate and sometimes change the call to speaker. It seems to be that the screen is sometimes active whilst on calls and so my ear is actually pressing the buttons and hitting numbers or changing it to speaker phone. It has also cancelled a call a few times.
This is extremely annoying and makes every call a worry.
Any ideas of how to solve this problem?I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.
