TS3899 View email.

I am able to download mails but unable to read them. They can only be read when I forward them or in reply mode. This however does not allow me to view attachments. Any body got ideas.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • TS3899 Since download of ios7.0.4ipad and iPhone don't sync hotmail account. I have un installed email account on both devices still not syncing also now unable to view email folders

Since I downloaded iOS 7.0.4 onto iPad and iPhone hotmail account won't sync. I have un installed the hotmail account on both and reinstalled. Still won't sync and now cannot view email folders

When you reinstall, set it up as an Outlook account instead of "other". Everything synced when I did that.

  • After upgrading to ios6 my iphone will not open .xls files in emails with the default viewer. Is there a fix for this? The same emailed .xls files still open on my ipad using ios5 while viewing email like they did on my iphone prior to upgrading.

After upgrading to ios6 my iphone will not open .xls files in emails with the default viewer. Is there a fix for this? The same emailed .xls files still open on my ipad using ios5 while viewing email like they did on my iphone prior to upgrading. I have no special software like numbers or anything else installed on either device. Just using the default viewer provided by apple for viewing email.

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
Is there anyone out there that is viewing .xls files in email using ios6 w/o any other software installed like numbers or any other add ons? I am not upgrading my ipad from ios5 to ios6 so I can still continue to view the emails on my ipad. Is there an email viewer .xls plug-in that will be availablle in the next ios6 update?

  • Cannot view email attachments after ios update

I have an ipad3 and just downloaded ios 8.2.  Now, when I view emails I cannot view the attachments. Is there something I need to change? I checked up storage and still have 35GB left.

    Hi, Grumpy Girl.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to view email attachments on your iPad.  Try forcing all open applications to close and restart the device.  Once this is done, see if you are able to view the attachments.

  • Can desktop manager be configured to view email attachment?

    Hi,
I have posted this question few times before and still have not gotten a definite answer. Can someone confirm if I can configure the desktop manager to view email attachment? If so, how do I achieve it? I am not one BES or BIS.
I have looked at the below KB and tried using the application launcher to install the attachmen service, however, it was not available in the application loader wizard.

    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First of all if you are nither BES nor BIS then there is no question of integrating email IDs in your device. Meaning no possibility of viewing email attachment in your device. For using any BlackBerry features you have to have a BlackBerry data plan. Please clarify this point.
Now regarding attachment viewing through Desktop Manager configuration is not possible. There is no such option in BlackBerry.

Unfortunately - this happens with Outlook generated messages on occasion. Sometimes even Entourage can't cope. I find that the Gmail web interface does a pretty good job of dealing with messages that nearly every other email client fails with.
Equally, there are occasionally problems for Outlook users when they receive messages from Thunderbird users.
I am convinced that the problem lies in Outlook, and that there is little you can do about it.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Perhaps I am wrong.... (hint for someone else to come in with a solution).

  • How to view emails in T?M backup

I am unable to determine how to view emails in a time machine backup. What path will take me to the mail boxes?

With the Mail window in the foreground, activate Time Machine. You'll see an eerie trail of Mail windows reaching back to the birth of the universe. Navigate to the date of the backup you want, and select the messages you want to restore. Click the Restore button.

Try using a data recovery product such as the ones listed here. Don't write anything else to the drive until the file is recovered or you choose not to recover it.

unable to view emails since the last updated download on my iphone 4,how to fix?

What exactly do you mean by "unable to view?" Does the Mail app quit? Regardless, try a reset:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

  • Viewing email

    Hi,
I finally got around to setting up mail to send and receive email from my gmail account. At some point I think I changed a setting for viewing email. I want to click on a new email and view the content below, not double click and open a window with the message. Is this possible? Or is it not working because it is a POP account I am using?
    Thanks

What version of Mail/OSX are you running, that is how mine is displaying in 10.7.x, & I personally hate it.

  • HT201320 view email sub folders?

    view email sub folders?

Are you referring to folders that you have created on your computer? This would only be possible if this is a mail account that is configured as IMAP or Exchange. A POP account does not sync folders from the server to the mail client.

  • When my iPhone 5s is paired with my 2014 Lexus Rx350 I am able to view text messages but cannot view email messages in the car display screen. My previous Blackberry Torch would read both text and email messages. Does anybody know how to fix?

When I pair my new iPhone 5S in my 2014 Lexus it displays and allows me to read the SMS messages off my phone on the car display but it does not display or allow me to read email messages. When pairing my previous Blackberry Torch the car displayed and allowed me to read both. Lexus have told me it is an Apple problem and not a Lexus problem which may be true as the BB phone worked great. Does anybody know if Apple is planning an iPhone update for this?

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • Unable to view emails in disabled accounts

    hi all
this is my first ever post to Mac discussion forum, after having been a Mac user for 20 years! Wish me luck!
I have a number of accounts set up in Mail. Two of these accounts are no longer active, in that the mailservers no longer exist and I can no longer receive mail into them. This is fine.
The trouble is that if I do the logical thing and disable those accounts in Mail account preferences, all the emails sent and received on those accounts effectively disappear. I know that they are still there, because if I search for them they come up in the list view, but I cannot view the contents, and if I enable the accounts again, there they are.
Mail Help suggests this is intentional:
"Disabled Mail accounts are marked Inactive in the list of accounts in Mail preferences. The disabled account’s mailboxes and messages are removed from the Mail viewer window until you enable the account again, at which point they reappear."
However, I do not wish to leave the accounts enabled as I am prompted for my POP password everytime I collect my other mail, which is a nuisance.
Is there any way around this? There must be a neater way to do it!
    thanks
    Tony

You might actually try just making a new folder, and dragging the emails into it (in Mail's sidebar).
There is another way around this. In Mail's "File" window, select "import Mailboxes". Navigate to ~/Library/Mail folder, and select the accounts you want to import. Do this for each one (the folder to select will start with IMAP or POP). Then, Mail puts these in an "Import" folder on the sidebar in Mail. Now, disable the accounts.
