What happens when you try to reply... Do you get an error message, is there no send button, does a symbol appear?

That’s just the problem I’m having. I follow all the steps as found in the iPhoto help. I select a photo then click the i (INFO) button in the lower right corner to open Faces - Keywords - Places pane. Then select the Keyword I want to remove, then the delete key. The key word I want to remove is removed okay at that point, (from the Keywords pane.)
However, when I go and do the same operation on a second photo - again the keyword is removed in the Keywords pane - then when I go back the first photo - the unwanted keyword is back. -

Go into Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari and turn it off. Then add the MacGruff browser from the app store. After that go back to Restrictions and turn off the ability to add apps. -
I received an email from the "apple team" saying that my mac may have been exposed to spyware and wants my passwor, user id, etc. Is this authentic?
I doubt that apple team sends this kind of emails. At the best, they may ask you to change your password, but not to reaquest to provide one.

Cannot access yahoo email account when I have been able for 6 years.
I am unable to log into my yahoo email account on my Mac OS X. This is very sudden. I have been able to for 6 years. I CAN access on a PC. I have never had this problem. I have never set up the mail program on Mac OS X.
No, it will not affect anything but Safari. I do this regularly anyway (in my case with Firefox because I prefer it over Safari). The cache remembers websites you've visited and, when internet connections were slow, then that was handy because the browser would reload the page from memory instead of reloading it fresh. With faster internet connections today, it is no longer of the same importance - it does speed up things a bit initially, but I haven't noticed any difference. Cookies are set by every site you visit - the only ones you might want to keep are cookies from your bank, financial institution, etc so they remember your machine when you log in. Other than that, they are a marketing tool and completely superfluous. And history is again something the computer remembers that you've visited a site before.

Best thing to do is go to your email, hit reply on any email and find the backslash on your keyboard. Select the Backslash and then cut/copy it into your mail settings or wherever you want to use it.

I've been searching for a solution to my iMessage login problem for months and tried everything from those frustrating links and all the tips from other users.
Here is what finally worked:
1) Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
2) Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically > On
3) Reboot device until Apple logo appears
4) Settings > Messages > Sign In -
With Yahoo Mail, and anotare account (Inacap Mail), I can only receive mails but I can't send emails. I don't know if this is a problem of the iPad or it is a problem with yahoo mail, because using Gmail and the email of my job I don' have this problem.
Google them to confirm the settings that you need for the outgoing server, then check the setting you entered on the pad. Pay real close attention to the outgoing server name, and port. You may need to change in on the pad.

Hello. Since my last firefox update, I have been unable to type an email - the box within which one would usually type does not appear when I press 'reply' to a received email, or press 'compose'. The email provider is '123-reg.co.uk. I have been using both firefox and the provider ['webfusion Ltd/webmail123] successfully for well over a year. The provider says it is a browser problem. I can still add an attachment to the email header, which successfully can be sent, but the recipient gets my standard email 'signature' with font messages and the attachment. Can anyone help? My email addresses are [email protected] [this is the one with the issue] and [email protected] in English

About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

This is an old iPhone that I am only using as an Ipod. It is an Iphone 3GS and I now have an iPhone 4S.
Any help would be much appreciated!I assume that you mean that you do have an iPhone because messages will not work with any other type of cell phone. You should be able to add your phone number in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at, if your phone number is lited in there, select it and then uncheck your email address and then the iPad will be using the phone number just like the iPhone.
If you phone number is not listed in there, you probably have to sign out/turn off Messages on the phone and the iPad and then start over again on the phone - and then your phone number should be accessible to use on the iPad.

Hi! My name is Derek Turner and I have been hacked through a friend's email message to me which I opened unsuspecting any danger. Initially, he sent me an 'attention' or warning email with a link which I tried to open but it could not be opened, so I left it not knowing what it was all about at the time. Later, I received another email from him (probably the hacker) and opened a 'not very pleasant' web site. It did not twig with me at the time as I am a bit new to this type of thing but when I mentioned it to my wife she immediately said that I had been 'hacked'. By this time it was too late, and it infected all my email addresses! I would be grateful if you may know if there is software that I can use to clean up my email account and if there is anything for iPad minis that can prevent this happening in future? (Malware, Firewall?). I am also getting emails back that relate to the hacker and I cannot 'delete' them from my iPad, only on my PC! Any suggestions?

I don't think that can be solved by any advice the regular posters could post here.
I would go back to Apple and explain the situation (again).
I would also consider closing the account (Apple rarely seem to do this as accounts are never deleted but just closed).
I understand this may cause issues for things purchased in iTunes and the App Store which my include Restoring the OS at some point.

Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options. I was able to select the account under "parental controls", but again, could not delete it. Why Apple? Why?!!????
SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Why can't we use iTunes gift cards with family sharing? After Christmas, we now have lots of account credit we can't use. Very frustrating. There is no option found for using account credit.
I just logged out of my daughter's account and back in, and now it works. Deducted from gift card account balance. So I hope this is resolved.

I have a macbook, an ipad, and an iphone with the Mail app on all three synced through icloud, but when I read and delete emails on my phone, the inbox on my ipad is not update, so I have to go through and mark as read or delete messages again. How can I sync my iphone and ipad? (it seems like each is synced only to my laptop, so don't synchronize until I go home and use my laptop.

Imap: google, hotmail, and more including icloud.
If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.
