TS3977 Airplay to mirror an image that is shown through our projector...
We have been using AirPlay to mirror an image that is being shown through our projector using ProPresenter 5. The Airplay would allow us to use another projector in another venue to display the same projected image. For some reason, the audio is being played but not the visuals. Furthermore, when given the option to "Mirror the projected image", AirPlay will not allow us to select that option.
What is going on?
Thanks for your help. Since I'm uninterested in loading all my photos (the only option) into photostream, I won't be able to use the settings in ATV. I guess I'm just stuck with using iPhoto on my MB Air. Thanks again.

Hi,
I have trouble displaying images that are accessed through URLs in my report.
If I call the URL directly in the Browser the Image can be opened without problems.
The images can be accessed with an anonymous access.
When I deploy the report or in the Preview of Visual Studio I get the following message:
[rsWarningFetchingExternalImages] Images with external URL references will not display if the report is published to a report server without an UnattendedExecutionAccount or the target image(s) are not enabled for anonymous access.
In Layout View of Visual Studio the image is showen correctly.
The Images are stored on a Solaris maschine with WebSphere 6.0 as WebServer.
Any ideas?

How can I change the image that's shown when you mouse-over a folder?
Lightroom defaults to using the first image depending on how you sort and I can't find out how to change this. I know how to do it for stacks, but not for folders.
If you're sorting- or could leave them sorted in by file name- changing the name of the first photo will get you there. Or changing the time stamp, etc.

Crystal Reports XI R2 SP4 Dynamic Image link not shown through forward prox

I've installed crystal reports XI R2 on a server which accesses the internet through a forward proxy. I've created a sample report with a dynamic image link. When I preview the report, the image shows up blank. I am able to browse to the image using IE.
Further, using the same report on our lan machine (no proxy), works fine. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

It seems that Crystal Reports does not support accessing images through a proxy configuration.

I have a late 2011 model MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion. I love the AirPlay mirroring feature with Apple TV...BUT, how do I mirror with TVs that don't have Apple TV? I used to run a cable from my mini display port to the HDMI input of a TV. This feature seems to be lost in the Mountain Lion upgrade. Did Apple feel that once Mountain Lion came out that EVERYONE would have Apple TV? There are no settings in System Preferences/Display like there used to be...only for AirPlay Mirroring.
Running a cable to the HDMI port is still supported. (and still works on mine).
If the Arrangement tab in System Preferences > Displays isn't present then it doesn't recognize the physical connection. Double check all cables. If that doesn't work try a PRAM reset:

When printing to the dye sublimation epson stylus pro 7700 using adobe illustrator it is required that I mirror the image. When mirroring the image the print colors are muted. Not mirrored and the print colors are perfect. Any suggestions?

Mirroring won't fill the TV screen. The iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the iPhone 4S or prior an aspect ratio of 3:2, neither of these will fit exactly into a TV screen which as an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Apple TV will not zoom the mirrored image, because it may well cut off information which is situated at the top or bottom of the screen.
You may wish to try each of the settings in ‘Settings > Audio & Video > Adjust for AirPlay overscan’ for the best setting that suits you. -
I am trying to play a DVD on my MacBook Pro and transmit it to my TV (using my TV as the monitor) utilizing a VGA cable and adapter for the Mac but the only image that shows up on the TV is the MacBook wall paper, any ideas on how I can transmit the movie from my MacBook to the TV? I also tried an HDMI cable and had the same issue.
you are probably seeing the extended display.. to see ur main display go to pefrences then display steeings and turn mirroring on.

My company has several TVs with AppleTVs (3rd generation units) connected in our conference rooms so we can "Screen Mirror" our Mac laptops via AirPlay during meetings. Many employees have complained that AirPlay Screen Mirroring drops frequently during meetings for no apparent reason.
In attempts to determine the cause of the issue, I removed the AppleTV units from Wi-Fi and hard-wired them all to the LAN (100Mbps/Full duplex, no switchport errors seen on the Cisco switch). I upgraded the AppleTVs to the latest firmware. I had our AppleTV users ensure they were running MacOS Mavericks with the latest software updates installed. I had the Mac laptops hard-wired into the LAN during meetings in the conference rooms. None of these changes resolved the AirPlay issue.
I reviewed the MacOS "/var/log/system.log" file from the laptops of several users that reported issues. I found a pattern that seemed to indicate that the "coreaudiod" process reported "Feedback taking too long to send" several times before the AppleTV connection was terminated. Also, from a network trace (using "tcpdump") taken during an unexpected AirPlay Screen Mirroring disconnection, I could see that the Mac laptop sent a TCP FIN packet to the AppleTV unit (this would indicate that the MacOS laptop initiated the closing of the AirPlay connection).
I have included the relevant log file entries below. Please note that the LAN internal to our company is "solid" and there have been no connectivity issues detected or reported during the times the AirPlay sessions were disconnected.
I believe I have found a workaround to this issue. By going into "System Preferences", "Sound" and then changing the "Output" device BACK to the "Internal Speakers" (rather than the AirPlay destination), the AirPlay Screen Monitoring connection seems to remain stable.
My questions are:
- is anyone else experiencing this type of problem? any other solutions recommended?
- is there a way to change the AirPlay defaults so that Screen Mirroring only sends the video (not audio)?
- does anyone know what the log file entries indicate (like, what does "Feedback taking too long to send...." mean)?
- any fix planned for this issue?

-TimI'm currently still experiencing this as well. I've confirmed it occurs on 10.9.1, 10.9.2, and 10.9.3 on MacBook Pro Retina's, Mid-2012 and 2013 MacBooks. It happens on multiple ATV's not just one, all are updated to 6.1.1 and a simple reboot seems to fix it temporarily but it does come back. All the ATV's are connecting to the network via Wireless not Ethernet. These are 3rd Gen ATV's but I checked the serial number and these do not match the bad batch of Apple TV's from 2013 that were offered up for Replacement for Apple due to the bad firmware update. None of the computers have the Firewall turned on. Here's the two logs that we always find after the issue occurs (logs are recent, happened this morning):

The user will get disconnected from Airplay anywhere between 30 seconds to 3 minutes after logging on and can reconnect but then once again get disconnected after the same time period. One interesting thing to note is that when the Feedback Taking Too Long to send error starts occuring and the countdown to disconnect start ticking down to 30, its solely referring to Audio not being sent over the network and Video is working just fine. If I try to play sound I get another log and the sound doesn't play through the speakers. After a reboot, sound works fine and the Feedback Error's do not show up. I've also tried switching to Internal Speakers (since it defaultly switches to Airplay Speakers) after connecting to Airplay and seeing the Feedback timer start in the Console Logs but even after that the log continues to saw its taking too long to send and disconnects in 30 seconds.
This issue has been ongoing for months, I've got a ticket logged as far back as January with this occuring but its infrequent enough that we've just restarted and moved on. I'd say its an issue that occurs to about 5%-10% of meetings but that's an entire meeting that doesn't have the ability to Airplay until someone comes down and reboots it.
I don't often post in this forum but its still an active issue with no resolution, proof that its occuring on other people's systems, and no firmware updates having been released to correct it. It'd be nice to know of any workarounds other than having to buy some lamp timers for each conference room just to get a functional ATV or putting up a sign that says hey if you get disconnected every 3 minutes, reboot the ATV. The whole reason we're using Apple products is for ease of use otherwise I'd put together a much cheaper solution myself. Any help or recommended troubleshooting steps would be fantastic at this point. -
HT2463 XBMC apps prevents AirPlay to function? is that true?
The AirPlay feature is not functioning on my new iPad. After Apple support walked me through to reset AppleTV box, iPad Air and even my NetGear wifi router...after all those steps performed, AirPlay feature still not shows up.
My SamSung Smart TV, AppleTV box, iPad Air all are logged in/connected with my home WiFi network.
Normally, when an iPad plays a movie, there should be a AirPlay icon next to 'Play' button, but on my iPad that AirPlay icon never shows up.
Did anyone experience same problem like I'm having now? I want to mirror pictures, movies to SamSung SmartTV using iPad Air via AppleBox.
I suspect that installation of XBCM app prevents AirPlay to function? Is that true?

In iOS6, the AirPlay mirror is in the multi-tasking bar.
In iOS7, the AirPlay mirror is in Control Center. Also, all AirPlay controls in iOS7 are moved to control center. -
When I use AirPlay to mirror a video through my iPad there is a lag at times. Does anyone know how to improve this?
Since I updated my apple TV firmware the other day to 4.4.2 (3160) My video streamed from my iphone 4s loads inconsistently, and more troubling, much more slowly that with the previous version of the software.
Since I'm not technically, 'mirroring' as you are, on it's face, doesn't seem related. I'm just throwing this out since after looking for comments about radical changes in airplay after this update, I couldn't find much on this.
Did you install this latest Apple TV update? For me it's an obvious difference. Previously I could start the airplay from my phone and not really have delays for loadiing or buffering. I don't have any other 'load' on my wifi or anything new that could be delaying the link from phone to airpay.

Apple TV Airplay and Mirroring
I am unable to get any of my devices to work with my second or third generation Apple TV with airplay or mirroring. I have an IPAD 1 and 4, and also a laptop with ITunes that won't connect anymore since I moved.
I have done the following:
I wasn't sure if my apple tv was broke, so I took it to the Apple retail store. He was able to mirror his IPAD and IPhone on my Apple TV, it turned out to be my remote, which now works with it.
All four devices have updated software.
All are on the same network.
All 4 devices are on the same Apple account, I only have one.
I've gotten pictures from the icloud to show up on screen.
On the IPad 4, I double clicked home and slid it to the right twice, no icon.
With my IPAD 1, I used to just play video and the airplay icon would come up, now nothing.
I've tried one suggestion, to change the language setting, nothing changed.
I have checked home sharing, everything is on.
I know I read about taking off the firewalls, but is that something that needs to be done with an IPad? I can see my lap top not working because of this, but IPads that have worked in the past.
I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated.You mentioned the issue started once you moved, it has something to do with how the network has been setup. Yes, things like firewall need to be looked at because something is blocking the connection.

Reversed - backward - mirrored - flipped images
My 17 month old son loves the apple remote and somehow reversed the image on the TV through the apple remote. If we watch the TV by way of a single mirror it looks normal. Watching the TV itself is flipped/reverse/backwards. This makes menu navigation and option reading a challenge. I've looked for the option that would change the display orientation but haven't found it. I tried a reset and restore settings and that did not work either. I have not done a factory reset yet.
How does one unflip the Apple TV?
Thanks.There is no such option on AppleTV, unless there's a hidden keypress selection to do so say for rear projection type applications (though I'd expect the projector to handle that). Could be a corrupt AppleTV software setting.

Amazing how the kids by random keypresses find things you never knew existed though! My youngster found an iPod service menu within about 10 seconds of getting hold of it the other day.

I am trying to use photomerge compose. I open one standard jpeg image and one image that is my business logo in a png format. When I select the png image, to extract the logo from it, it appears as all white and will not allow me to select the logo from it. It has worked in the past but I downloaded the update today and photomerge will not work correctly. Any ideas?

You can do it from Site Manager-> Page template -> Default Template
Look for the code <link type="image/x-icon" href="/Path for your image" rel="icon" />, and Click save.
Now where you will use this template, it will display your favicon for that webpage instead of BC favicon. You can define it on Page directly if you are not going to use template.
