  • HT204053 How can I retrieve my iCloud password? It's not working with the apple id password.

I had to reset my apple I'd password yesterday & now my iCloud is not logging in. I tried using both my old apple I'd password & the new one that I just reset. Neither work. How can I retrieve my iCloud password?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

You are going to need to go to: FORGOT APPLE ID to retrieve your iCloud/Apple ID. Once you know your ID, you can log onto Apple - My Apple ID and click on Reset Password to answer the Security Questions you will need to answer. If you don't remember the answers, you will have to contact Apple Support to have them reset: ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

I can't seem to retrieve my icloud password. I have tried to retrieve it via the security questions, but I can't remember the answers. Also, whenever I try to retrieve it via email, it either doesnt send anything to my email or a very random email address appears on my screen asking me to enter the password for itunes. I really need help with this problem since half my apps won't open until I update them.

Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and log in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address.
If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com ; click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
Once you have the Apple-generated new password you can of course go to http://appleid.apple.com and change it, though you will not be able to reuse the old password.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • How can I reset my iCloud password when It's hacked?

Someone hacked my iCloud. I tried to get the password back but i forgot one of my security questions. I thought "I'll just make a new iCloud and sign out of the old one". Well, I put the "Find my ipod" app on it and I can't sign out with out the password to that iCloud. Now I have notifications popping up within 5 seconds all the time. I tried so many times to get back my iCloud password but I just can't. I even tried restoring my iPod but I can't with out the password. What do I do? How would I be able to restore my iPod or get the password back? Even if I forgot one of the security questions?

  • How can I access my iCloud password?

I cannot find my iCloud password.  My iphone and ipad won't sync with my MacBook Air.  Last night I bought an extra $20 worth of iCloud space in hopes that this would help....it has not.  Help please.

You cannot retrieve your password but you can reset it to a new one. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com; click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
Note that once you have changed the password you will need to sign out and back in again on all your devices. If you have 'Find My iPhone' (or whatever) set up on any of them you may be in difficulties as you will need to turn that off and may require the old password to do so, so you should try to do this before changing the password. I shouldn't log out, though, until you have the reset password organized.
