You don't need an app. You need couple's counseling. I believe what you want to do may also be illegal in many jurisdictions.

I recovered a back up from my time machine via a wired connection after getting the 'white screen of death'. Now Time Machine does not recognise any back ups on the time machine when connected wirelessly and wants to do a first back up of the whole machine. How do I get my mac to recognise these older back ups? It connects to the wifi network the time machine creates fine, with the same name and password.
I recommend the following.
1. Reset the TC to factory.
Universal Factory Reset.. any model TC or AE.
Unplug your TC/AE from power or turn off at the power point.
Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. (this is often difficult without a 2nd person or a 3rd arm).
Release it when the status light flashes rapidly. If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have missed it and try again.
Note..
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations of the router.
No files are deleted on the hard disk in a TC.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
2. Rename the TC to SMB standard.
That means short names.. 2-20 characters but less than 10 is excellent. eg TCGenx (use number for x that is actual generation of the TC)
No spaces.
Pure alphanumeric. No apostrophe.
3. Ensure IPv6 is set to link-local..
Do the same thing for ethernet if that is used.
4. Manually mount the TC disk in Finder.
Use Go in the top menu.. connect to server.
Type in
AFP://TCname.local (where TCname is your new short name for the TC and local is default domain .. it helps using the domain I found).
You will then find the computer either can or cannot find the network resource.. if it fails something else is wrong with the actual network and you will need to fix that.
It will request the password if it is found.. password is public by default unless you changed it.. type in the password and check to keep it in your keychain.
5. Delete current TM setup and redo it with the newly named TC.

If your backups cannot be found, try B6 again, now that you actually know that the disk has been properly discovered. -

Check the documentation for the Jawbone and put it in discovery mode. Turn bluetooth on for the iPhone and the Jawbone should show up on the phone. More than likely it will then ask for a passcode and that should be in the documentation as well. After that, they should be paired.
Use this link to go to the Jawbone ERA site if you need instructions on pairing. Select pairing with your phone and there is information on how to get the headset into pairing mode and the passcode.

To effectively transfer ownership of the iPhone requires that it be "restored" as a new device.

The iPhone is not a backup device. Your computer backs up the iPhone, not the other way around. What you use to back up your computer is up to you - Macs use Time Machine. I assume PCs use something similar.
If her PC backup is dead you will have difficulty extracting content from the iPhone since it is not designed to work that way.
All her Apple purchases can easily be transferred to another iPhone. However, her contacts will be gone, as will any music or other contact obtained from sources other than Apple.
There are a number of third party utilities that claim to be able to extract content from an iPhone. See wjosten's procedure here:

In your case you can only restore from a backup that has been created with the same iOS version. An iPhone 4 can only run 7.1.2, and, unless your iPhone 5 did not run the same version, you can't use a newer iOS backup of the 5 on the iPhone 4

I am trying to open a pages document however it tells me I need the new version to do so. I have installed the new version however it keeps saying I need the new version. I have noticed that I still have the old blue ink pot icon not the new orange pen.
Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

iTunes recognises my iPhone 5s attached, but does not come up with the scanner/camera wizard giving me the option to upload pictures. I've tried going to control panel on the computer to try and open it that way, but it does not acknowledge that any devices with a camera are attached. Osx does not recognise any DVD or disk inserted
Hi Everyone,
Since this morning I tried to use some disks on my MacBook Pro, (6,2) mid 2010, but the system did not load any of them and as long as I tried to insert one, it was espelled 5 seconds after without being loaded by the OS, I actualy tried to put a disk containing an updated version of Debian, and it would not load into MacOSX, but misteriousely, debian's installation started from the same disk and the same drive i tried to use on macosx .
It is actually quite strange because I cannot understand how it could be possible that the same disk actualy loads on the Boot and it does not whithin mac osx.
Any suggestion on how to solve ?

Click on all the troubleshooting topics & Support Articles that pertain to your issue.
You can also do the same in Disk Utility. Open same up.
At the bottom left of the window, click on the purple button w/the "?" in the middle.

New SD Card - now desktop manager does not recognise it

I got my BB Curve working fine with my old SD card no probs (1.2GB). Just got a new card (32GB), BB recognises it ok, all folders are in place and shows 31GB free space... but BB Desktop manager keeps telling me the old CD card is in there telling me I only have 1.2GB.
Tried re-installing Desktop manager - no joy
Tried using both a PC and a Mac - no joy
Checked USB Bus - Product ID is 0x8004 - even so installed solution from Calfix - no joy
tried removing battery - no joy
Tested SD card worked by removing from phone and inserting into SD card slot on laptop - all ok
Getting really frustrated now - I know I could drag and drop my music onto card via SD reader but want to be able to use Desktop manager for playlists.....any and all help welcome
btw - checked I had the right version of software on phone before buyinh 32GB cardSince I don't use playlists, drag and drop works fine for me. Further, I don't use my own music as much anymore...I decided to subscribe to Slacker as it will keep a whole ton of "stations" up to date with current releases plus, with the subscription, it will cache on the Media Card (and update that either via WiFi or USB tether) so that you don't consume bandwidth for playback (very useful for me as I'm frequently in situations where there is no signal available anyway).

I recieve a text message from a friend, save the details straight from the txt to contacts and whenever that person contacts me in the future (either via txt or voice call) the contact name does not come up. I know the number is entered in the phone correctly as I use the details to dial out? Why does the phone not recognise the contact when it's correctly entered into the phone?

if you have a duplicated the number, either by using another name or even using the same name, it will not be "recognized", the number should only be put once in your contact, then it will show your contact's name... -

Hope everyone is well. I have not purchased a Apple item since 2005. I have been in the land of PC and was not disappointed - sorry. Now I have intereest in a MacPro but have been very worried upon reading some of the forum entries here. Besides that, I have wondered whether the the new high definition dvds will be compatible with any Apple laptops. Is the Mac Pros ready for this new venture (whether it be for HD or Blue Ray)?
Also, those that own a 2.16 and 2.33 GHz model of MacPros - any difference in speed running Final Cut Pro or Express? Shooting for a 15 inch.
