TS3988 iCloud Log in Error
I cannot log in on my PC using windows 7 - i get an error that says "You can't log in because of server error" - what can i do?

When trying to log into iCloud, I get error message that this iPhone has exceeded it's limits for free apple I'd accounts
Indeed you do, limit of three accounts exists for every device. You can use old icloud accounts or create account on new device and then sign in on that phone. That limit is only for creating and not for use.

Was using iCloud just fine on Mac and iPad and suddenly can't access it from either devices.
When reviewing the settings on iPad a "verification failed, could not communicate with the server" message pops up.
When trying to access iCloud account on icloud.com a "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server" message pops up.
Meanwhile iCloud no longer works on both devices. (Apple ID works fine on Manage my Account)
I don't remember changing any iCloud settings but I was working on email account settings when this happened....Any ideas??I have the same problem. This happens multiple times a day. I answer some questions and then unlock my account and then before long it all happens again. Extremely frustrating as I don't have a clue how to solve the problem.

When I try to log into iCloud on my MacBook Pro I get an error message "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server". This happens using Safari, Firefox and Chrome. I can, however, log in if I use a VPN connection. Also, if I use VMware Fusion I can log in with no problem with Windows Internet Explorer. A windows computer that I have also has no problem logging in using the same network connection.
Any ideas?I'm a Brit spending time in Japan and China so I use a VPN for accessing UK TV programmes.

I have been trying to access my icloud account in laptop with windows 7 operating, but I couldn't able to log in to icloud which show following error " icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server".
I have icloud icloud control panel.
But I can access my same icloud account in another laptop with windows xp operating.My recommendation is to download Apple’s Safari version 5.1.7 for Windows to access iCloud.com. It consistently works for me!!!! To make things easier with Safari, I made iCloud.com its Homepage. I’m using it to access iCloud.com from all of my PCs.
On my Windows 7 systems it appears that some add-ons are causing problems when you try to access iCloud.com with the 32-bit version of IE9, but the 64-bit version seems to work fine, more than likely because there are few add-ons that are 64-bit and the 64-bit version of IE9 can't be the default browser in Windows 7. -

If it only does it at work, then the most likely reason is that your work network is blocking it, or one of the servers iCloud connects to.
Have you asked the IT people at work? Checked it on another computer at work? -
Error is not getting logged in error file while running dataload maxl

I am running a Maxl to load data in a database which is running fine but noted a weird issue that the errors are not getting logged in error file. Suppose i changed the name of data file then it should give error something like
ERROR - {Error no.} - Unable to open file {filename} which should be logged in error file but my error file is still empty.
I am using the Maxl -
import database {dbname} data from data_file {filename} on error append to "D:/Error/errorfile.err";
Any inputs please...
ThanksTry to use single quotes and the backslash. It may depend on the operating system and /or the version of essbase used. This is an example from one of my maxls:
on error append to 'D:\Hyperion\logfiles\myload.err';

Here's the sequence of events:
Setting up a new iMac.
Migration Assistant was aborted during setup and a normal setup was completed.
Then ran Migration Assistant from the newly setup account.
It ran fine, but put all the data in a new account called "user".
Renamed "user" to a new name, renamed the home folder to a new name following these instructions: OS X: How to change your account name or home directory name
Delete the account we originally created, so just have one account with the name we want and all the data, email. Works fine.
Sign into the App Store with the account we share for purchases.
Now, the problem:
Go to System Preferences to setup iCloud with a new Apple ID
Get this error: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."
So I'm unable to setup iCloud for photo stream, FaceTime, etc.
Internet works fine, we can get mail, etc.
Rebooting doesn't help
Ideas?never mind the problem is gone this morning.

I AM USING A JAVA SWING INTERFACE (JDK 1.1.8), WHICH USES JNI TO CALL C PROGRAMS WHICH IN TURN CONNECTS TO THE DATABASE, ORACLE 8.1.6.
A DATABASE CONNECTION IS ESTABLISED IN THE MAIN CLASS BY CALLING A FUNCTION FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR.
FOR ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS WHICH ARE MADE FROM WITHIN THIS CONSTRUCTOR, THE CONNECTION STAYS.
BUT AFTER THE CONTRUCTOR CALL IS COMPLETE, DATABASE CONNECTION IS STRANGELY LOST. THUS ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS FAIL BECAUSE OF CONNECTION ISSUES GIVING ORA-01012. THOUGH IF I CHECK UP IN THE DATABASE, THE CONNECTION DOES FIND AN ENTRY.
SO IT APPEARS THAT SOMEHOW THE JAVA INTERFACE LOOSES TRACK OF CONNECTION. BUT STRANGELY ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK IF CALLED FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR......... BUT THATS NOT THE IDEA.
PLEASE HELP, THIS PROBLEM IS BUGGING ME FOR WEEKS NOW.

i am working on a previous system with java swing front end which alread uses jni, and connects to database using pro *c.
My problem is that the connection is lost as soon as the constructor of the main class is run, giving an
ORA-1012 NOT LOGGED ON ERROR.
But if i place the same calls in the contructor all the database call work.
It somehow appears that the java interface looses the connection context. Though the session does find entry in the oracle dynamic tables as long as i dont close the front end main window, thereby meaning that its the jave interface which looses the context.

I have an icloud account which I can access via the web but when I go to systems preferences and click on the icloud it sends me to the mobileme closed site?? How do I get it to go to my icloud log in?
You're saying that when you click on the iCloud preference pane button it sends you to the defunct MMe
rather than giving you this?
Is your profile up to date, i.e. are your running 10.7.5? Make sure you click on the iCloud button and not the MMe button.

i am having problems with my log on to itunes and icloud?
really thye problem began some time ago when i got an upgrade from iphone 3s to iphone 4s, i kept my old iphone as a second phone then gave the old one to my mrs?
the problem is when i send a message to anyone the wife gets it on hers too? and vice versa? i have now desected/romoved the old iphone 3s from my apple account but its still happening? on removing the old iphone i got an icloud log on with new passwords and i changed the email on record for itunes and apple log on as my emial address had changed due to a new broardband supplier so the old one became usless to me so i changed it all?
now the aqpple id still comes up as the log on id for itunes and icloud and i cant seem to rectify this even though i have changed all the details around to the new log on id`s ???and i still get her messages and her mine??? its driving me potty? i mean when you change the id surly apple should wipe the old log on? apparently not so if i try to log on with the old details it wont let me on? now i cant buy music or anything else?
has anyone got any answers so i can retify the log on and stop messages going to my phone from the wifes and mine to hers? like if i text her i get the message on both my own and to hers ???
i would say niether of us could cheat cos we get each others messages

the settings for icloud still has my old email address which i deleted from itune and apple? so maybe this is why i cant get on to itunes etc But? i cant change or delete from my iphone icloud account so i can reset it with out logging in with the old details which are no longer on itunes or apple system so im compleatetly stuck?

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.
