TS3988 Itunes insists upon using a previous Apple ID on my new IMac

I need to use my current Apple ID to access music, icloud etc. on my new iMac. Itunes asks for an old Apple ID. It won't let me log in using my current Apple ID. How can I delete a previous Apple ID? Or just, how can I log in to iTunes with my current Apple ID?

Here's how to log in to iTunes with your current Apple ID:
Using an existing Apple ID with the iTunes Store and Mac App Store

To use your Apple ID at the iTunes Store
Open the latest version of iTunes.
Choose Store > Sign In from the Store menu.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click Sign In.
Click Review when asked to review your information.
Enter your billing information, a credit card will be required.
Click Continue when you're done entering your credit card and billing information.
Note: You can remove or edit your credit card information at any time. Learn more about updating your iTunes Store account information.To use your Apple ID at the Mac App Store
Choose Store > Sign In from the App Store menu.
Enter your Apple ID and password, and then click Sign In.

When I enter my birthdate, I am told this information is incorrect! Thats as far as i can go!

If you change your Apple ID you will need to sign in with the new information or password the next time you use an Apple service or feature that uses Apple ID. If you have multiple devices that use features and services that require an Apple ID, you will need to sign in again on each device.

Confirm you payment info as this is how itunes verifies your account.

Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one.

I recently purchased a new iMac with an 1 Terrabyte external drive. I want to transfer my files from my old iMac to the external drive, but I'm afraid that doing that will compromise the use of the external drive on my new iMac. I have not downloaded the external drive's software onto my old Mac because of this concern. May I simply "drag and drop" the contents I want transferred to the external drive, then set up my new Mac with the drive and download there? or is there a better procedure? Comments? Help?

If your intention is to copy a just documents and data (word processing files and music for example) then yes, you can use drag and drop. If you want to transfer data and applications and permissions, it would actually be easiest to connect the drive to your old computer and turn on TimeMachine. Once TM is finished, connect the drive to your new computer and restart it holding the option key to get into Recovery mode. Then you can use the restore from TM option to transfer your data and programs to the new computer.

This account was set up using an old Apple ID and password.
Since then I've changed both id and password.
In order to delete the existing (old) iCloud account from my phone I need to provide the old password from the old and defunct account.
I don't remember that password.
I've tried resetting it through the support network but to no avail.
I need to delete the old account in order to set up a new one.
Any thoughts?

If the ID is yours but you don't know the password, you'll have to reset it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787). If the ID belongs to a previous ownder of the phone, you'll have to either get the ID and password from them, or have them erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515.

Certain Videos from iTunes Hang when using Airplay to Apple TV

I've been using Airplay to watch videos from iTunes on my compter to my Apple TV (2). It works great for the most part, but I've been having issues with a small number of my videos.
Whenever I try to play these videos, iTunes will connect perfectly fine and I will see the loading "circle" on the bottom left (on the seek bar), but the video never plays. What's really strange is that if I seek to any part of the movie, the current frame will load (so I can see the video as if it was paused), but I will continually see the loading circle and it never plays. Very annoying.
Any ideas?

Finally got a chance to test this out. Saddly enough, it didn't work.
I deleted the movie from iTunes (no hard delete), then added it again. Same problem :-/
And yes, they are all saved in the same location (Movies folder).
Any other suggestions???
