TS3988 Unable to read my mail

When on my inbox email I only get the subject detail appear and not the body of email. My mail is sync with my yahoo mail account.
Any help would be great.

Then it is regular email troubleshooting - remove and add account. If you see any messages while adding it will give you an idea, why yahoo doesn't want to allow you to connect to server now, but didn't have problem with you before.

I updated to fire fox 4 and since I am unable to read my web mail from my talk talk account. When I try to get into my inbox it tells me I have undefined new mail. I can access my email with internet explorer but not firefox.

Unable to read e-mails on-line

Dear Sirs,
Since I updated to Firefox 5 I have been unable to access my inbox when on-line as previously. I am able to access it via I.E. 9, and I was able to access it with the previous version. I am able to access and read my mail on-line using other accounts. The e-mail in question is the Tiscali.co.uk webmail site. I am able to log-on but when I try to access the inbox it reports "Unknown mail" and nothing happens. I have just tried again and get the following:- ERROR: SearchApp. Can you please advise on how I can access my inbox again?

Unable to read e-mails with pps, wmv suffixes

I can never open or read e-mails with the pps or wmv suffixes.
I've down loaded the suggested software but it never helps.
Any ideas on how to get around this problem?

With Firefox 4 and 5 I am unable to read my mail, FF 3 was OK Help

I am with talktalkl ,when using Firefox 4 and now 5 I cannot open my mail.I get a message saying, you have unidentified ? mail.I had no problems with FF 3.I have to use Internet explorer to read my mail.

Unable to read Yahoo mail since OS6 upgrade

I use the iPhone 4S. Prior to upgrading I was able to use the Yahoo app to read my Yahoo mail. Since the upgrade, the app prompts me for my password and ID, I enter it, it prompts me again, I enter it, it prompts me again... It's a loop. It never allows me to read the mail.
When I go on the net from the iPhone, and I get to Yahoo mail, it will prompt me for my password and ID and loop again!
Using a computer all is fine to retrieve Yahoo mail.
I do not have Yahoo mail as one of my iPhone mail accounts. The only way i read it is through the Yahoo app.

We have been dealing with this for days! I'm so disgusted. I've been on the phone with verizon and apple for hours several nights repeating myself over and over to different customer service reps and techs. No one could help.
Thank you for this answer. Don't companies communicate with their customer service techs and tell them that there are issues going on and they are trying to fix it? I wouldn't have wasted so much time on the phone, online chat and research--I would have just waited.
All of a sudden yesterday the email came up! It loaded hundreds of old emails! My husband went through and trashed all of his old emails.
We have an older ipad, a new ipad (Model MD510LL/A) purchased this summer from APPLE online and 2 iphones (Iphone 4 and one is iphone 5 bought this summer at Target). The older apple products are now running with this tip you gave here.
The new ipad and iphone received today all the old emails AGAIN, but no new ones nor the "testing emails" I sent from my ipad.
NOTE: I have not had any trouble with my webmail on my Hewlett Packer Laptop. I really question myself whether I would purchase another apple product. I had been looking at a new iphone, but that's not happening. By the way--I myself do not like the larger size on the iphone 6. I just want a phone that fits neatly in my pocket and purse and not a "mini-mini ipad."
NOW how can I correct the new ipad and iphone 5?

Unable to read e-mails off of Hotmail when using Firefox, but I can with Internet Explorer. Hotmail seems to be the only one I have trouble with.

Having trouble doing different functions on Hotmail when using Firefox. Doesn't seem to be a problem with other sites. Also, no trouble using Hotmail when using Internet Explorer. This just started, yesterday.

I had no problem using Hotmail yesterday on Firefox 10.0.2
Try clearing your cache and if necessary the site cookies.

Console Log shows "Unable to read ICC profile", iWeb and Mail crash

Hi experts
I've a problem with what appears to be my ICC profiles. Mail and iWeb will consistently crash due to this problem. As the subject above says, all Applications will regularly report the following in console.log:
cmsDataProviderGetBytes : CMCopyProfile: returned -4204
CMSValidateProfile : Unable to read ICC profile
To reproduce:
in Mail:
1) Open Mail and go to Apple Menu > Preferences > Rules
2) Create a rule with action "Set Color of background" and in the colour picker drop-down menu choose "Other" -> Crash
in iWeb:
1) Open iWeb, choose "Welcome" as a template and click "Choose" -> crash
In an attempt to solve the problem, I have tried:
1) Using ColorSync Utility to fix profiles
2) Replacing /Library/ColorSync/Profiles from the OS X DVD
3) Creating a new profile using Display Calibrator Assistant
4) Creating a new profile using a third party application, SuperCal
5) Repairing permissions/my startup disk using Disk Utility (doing this last of course)
Does anyone have some other ideas? I don't know whether this is new to 10.4.4 or not.

Have had the same problem when I tried an experiment to get iPhoto to stop adding a color profile on my existing photos without a profile.
I removed the .icc files in /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles and got similar messages in console.log as you do.
Moving the icc. files back made the problem disappear.
What files does your folder mentioned above contain?
Guess you should have the same files as I do.
My folder contains 6 icc. files, including Adobe RGB 1998 and sRGB. Removing these solves my iPhoto fuckup, but as you experience makes other apps crash (like iWeb ..)

Unable to read PDF's when recieved as e-mail attachment

I've developed a new sympton on my iPhone 4 in that I am unable to read any PDF files that are sent to me as an attachment on an e-mail.
The files comes as an attachment winmail.dat file.
I have checked the help section which advised me that the e-mail sender is the issue as the e-mail was sent in RTF.
I've checked this and the e-mail was definatly not sent in RTF, it was sent in HTML.
I have tested this myself by sending myself and e-mail from my Outlook account on my PC to then recieve it on my iPhone (same e-mail account), sent in HTML and I am getting the same winmail.dat again.
Funny thing is I had done the same thing only yesterday and it worked OK although I have since had no end of trouble trying to (unsuccessfully) backup my iPhone to iTunes but that's a story for another thread!
Does anybody have any ideas?

At this time, I do not really know the answer, but for now all is terrific. Earlier, along with the .pdf file, I tried to send a 93kb .doc file, and the same thing happened, no display at all. I have tried both of these files many ways. ( I realize that this may not have anything to do with the result ), but yesterday, I added an IMAP Gmail account that worked as it should. I just did a delete on the Gmail account, tried both files, multiple times, and they load and display entirely as they should. I will do more research, but I no longer have any problems with the world's greatest phone. Thanks.

Unable to read iCloud sent mail in Mail.app

Hello, starting about 1week ago my Mail.app gives me an exclamation mark in iCloud mail in Sent items.
Clicking on it Mail gives me the error:
Unable to access "iCloud":
Unable to read data from server “p01-imap.mail.me.com”.
If i go to Mail-Window-COnnection status, i get all positive results, in fact i can recieve mails but can't access Sent items folder.
What's the problem?

To save the sent items in
“Sent Items Folder” follow the given path (Outlook 2007):
Tools
>> Options >> Preference Tab >> E-Mail Options
In E-Mail options, choose the
“save copies of
messages in sent items folder” check box and finally click on
“Ok” button.
Exchange server automatically creates the copy of the entire database.

Read E-Mail Actionblock -Unable to read mail from Mailserver

Hi,
As a part of business requirement I need to write a transaction which picks the attachment from a particular mail on a server on a scheduled basis.
I am getting the below error while trying to connect to the server
[INFO ]: ReadMail: Connecting To: xxxx.yyyy.mycompany.com
[ERROR]: ReadMail error: Connect failed; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect+
[ERROR]: ACTION FAILED: End Action ReadMail_0 :
But with the same credentials I am able to send mail from xMII using the Send mail action block.So this signifies that I am using the right MailServer name.
Is this the problem with the firewall with the server ? or
Will there be different MailServer name for receiving and reading mails?
How to know which port number to be used?
Did any one faced this problem before?

Im also having problems with reading mails from mailserver.
When I execute the transaction the action block Read Mail return me the following error:
[ERROR] [ReadMail]Unable to read mail Exception: [unicode-1-1-utf-7]
Could anybody help me?

What is your email client?
What is your Adobe Reader version?
What means "unable" - how do you try downloading attachments, and what exactly happens when you try?

Ovi mail migrated to yahoo ... unable to read emai...

Anyone else experiencing this problem in firefox 4 and ie8 ? I can log into the ovi mail account which is now powered by yahoo but i cant seem to open up the emails although they are being recieved and the inbox is updated i just cant access them.

Hey even I was facing the same issue. Was really **bleep** untill i Found out this post :
Do you click on them to open them in the web UI, and a tab appears but the contents of the tab are blank? That is a known issue seen by some users.
Yahoo is deploying a fix for it, which should be rolled out to all users in about a week. Before that, here are some workarounds:
- Go to http://m.yahoo.com (their mobile site) to read your mail. That seems to work.
- Read your email on a PC mail client connected through POP (see settings here http://support.ovi.com/osc/en_GB/faq/FA134976_en_US)
- Read your email on your phone.
- Disconnect from Facebook, if connected to it. That fixes it for some, but not all, users. Do that with these steps:
* Go to mail.ovi.com and login
* Now browse to pulse.yahoo.com to get to Yahoo Pulse (Yahoo’s social stuff)
* Click on Settings (top right) and then "Manage my linked accounts"
* See what shows up there. Does it show that Facebook is still linked? If so, please unlink it.
* Then log out & back in again and see if things work OK.
Also go to ur facebook account and under privacy tab> applications permissions> remove yahoo.
even though u havent linked your ovi and facebook, still its good if u try and find out the remedy to this annoying issue...
