TS3991 Can't upload document to iWork

I can't upload document to iWork as can't find the "Gear Symbol" in that page, may i know why no "GEAR SYMBOL" in my iWork page?

Me too. I can't upload to iCloud/ iWork as no gear symbol is appearing in the top right of the window. I am using Safari on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 . I have tried Firefox too. No joy.
All I get is the offer to buy Keynote/Pages/Numbers
I want to upload to iWork please as I have storage available in both my Apple account and and my Me account which for some strange reason I can't merge together but thats another story...
To recap after trawling the internet in vain, I am on a quest to find the holy gear symbol. Anybody able to help me?
By the way I unable to upload anything. Thats Pages documents etc

I can't upload documents in to iCloud from my Ipad2. When I go to iCloud/iWork.com, it takes to me the iCloud set up page even though iCloud is set up and working on my iPad2. Also - the only way I get documents that I have loaded in to iCloud to download is if I open them on my Ipad. I can't access them on my iMac until I have accessed them on my iPad.
Any suggestions???

I had the two accounts set up in my emails. I deleted my old MobileMe account and it's now working.

OK, first, I will describe my problem. Since some weeks I am using a very new macbook Pro with the latest software updates (os x 10.7.3 lion). I was very impressed about the working comfort and how every single detail was working (it was my first mac, earlier I have always used *******). Where I live, internet download is very slow. The maximum download speed is about 250 kb/s and only on good days, upload much slower (10-20 kb/s).
Now I found out that I could use iCloud like a usb stick, I mean upload it at home and download it at school. So I followed the apple instructions to activate iCloud on my mac. All the settings are now on.
So, to the real problem. When I open Safari, go to iCloud.com/iWork, the normal welcome-page appears. It says there big "iCloud for pages" and there are 2 buttons which say "more information" and "get pages for iOS". Now every help-site and every post tells me to open finder and drag and drop documents to the safari (I use version 5.1.3) window. So I open finder, click on the document I want to upload and drag it over to the safari window. As soon as I move my mouse over the background of the "iCloud for pages" site, a white + on green round background appears next to the name of my document. But when I let it go, nothing happens. The name of the document and the + just disappear, nothing is left there. Even if I wait some time, nothing happens. I can try everything, use a very small document, use another browser as google chrome 17 or try on the family computer which still works with *******. Nothing what we call an upload happens, it rests like I would have done nothing.
Something very strange happened to me when I was trying to upload a document at school, where internet is a little better (but they also use *******). I dragged and dropped, but instead of nothing it said "wrong file format", which was not the surprising thing (i wanted to upload a .xlsx file to the pages site), the surprising thing was that SOMETHING happened. Another time, this time .doc to pages site, it said "a problem occured. please try again later".
What am I doing wrong??? Is my internet connection too slow? Might I have done something wrong when activating iCloud? By the way, uploading to iwork.com works perfectly!
Or will I have to go to the next dataQuest store (1 hour away) to fix the problem?
hope somebody will find a solution.

First, I have pages on my macbook, but this is no iOS device as we all know. I don't have an iPhone and don't intend to buy any iOS device.
So, if I don't have any iOS device, iCloud is just some nothing for me? If that's so, it would be quite a shame. So if I had an iPhone or something with pages on it, I could upload from my macbook and download at school? This wouldn't really make that much sense to me.

Of course. Open http://www.icloud.com, log in with your Apple ID, select Pages and drag your Word documents to the window to upload them into iCloud.
After doing that, you will be able to edit your Word documents from any PC or Mac through http://www.icloud.com, any Mac with Pages installed and OS X Mountain Lion or later, and any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Pages installed

How can I retrive documents from Iwork?

How can I retrive my documents stored at Iwork.com?
There's any chance to download them to my computer? I did't know about the decision of finishing this service

To maintain the metadata you'll need to use one of the third party tools that does this kind of migration. Metalogix has a product with a free trial that we have used before. (Don't remember whether the free version maintains metadata or not).

Pages - can't upload documents

I am trying to upload existing WORD, EXCEL & PDFs from my computer into my iPad. They show up on my iPad but are faded out...and I can't choose them!
I followed all the instructions for file sharing! PLEASE HELP!

You cannot import a pdf or an Excel file into Pages. Do the Word files have the .doc or .docx extension after the file name?

Can't upload documents to the cloud

I am trying to upload some documents to the cloud, using reader xi, but every time i do it the progress bar gets to about 90% and then i get an error message telling me there has been an error accessing the service.
I have also tried uploading via acrobat.com but it just freezes.
Please help.

Are you trying to upload from with Reader or Acrobat? Or are you uploading directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com? What is the exact error message that you're receiving? Have you tried to upload other files? If so, have you met with success, or are they failing, too?

Can't upload documents using Adobe Send

I did it through the browser to https://cloud.acrobat.com. I don't remember the exact wording of the error. Message. Something like "Sorry, there is an error uploading your files..." I did this a few times since AdobeSendNow became AdobeSend. Sometimes work, some doesn't. It's all by luck but I will say most of the times fail.

TS3991 can i upload pictures to the cloud, create a file name and allow others to access it from non-apple devices?

I have pix for co-workers not to be shared in public forum, would like to know where in knowledgebase to find the instructions. thank you

You can do this by adding photos to a shared stream and enabling the public website option (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99). This will give you a private url that can be shared with non-iCloud users, enabling them to see the photos on the web from their computer browser. You will need iPhoto '11 to do this, available in the Mac App Store.

TS3991 iWork: uploading documents

I keep getting "error" when I try to upload documents onto Iwork. (I use microsoft word 2010 and have all the latest updates to iclouds and itunes) any feedback on what I could do to solve the problem would be appreciated!

You could try disabling document and data syncing in the iCloud settings, then restarting your iPad and then re-enabling document and data syncing. However if the documents have become corrupt, there maybe nothing that you can do.
Whilst it won't help you recover documents that have already become corrupt, can I suggest you get into the habit ofbacking up your documents in the cloud regularly.

TS3991 Neither of my two Macs will upload or sync iWork documents to iCloud

Neither of my two Macs will upload or sync iWork documents to iCloud. My iOS divides have no trouble syncing documents to iCloud over the same network as the Macs. I have rest iCloud, and made sure that my iCloud documents preferences were correct. This is getting extremely frustrating. Anyone have some suggestions?

To use iWork with the iWork section of iCloud.com you need the mobile versions of the iWork apps installed on your iOS devices and any documents uploaded from a mac need to be opened on an iOS device before they can be downloaded again on a mac.
