TS3991 Do I have to share to be on I Cloud?

The reason I got my computer was to make pamplets and to sell my art work on line and at Art walks I go to.
I let the computer upgrade to Maveric without knowing what was going to happen. I do not like to share my private stuff with anyone. If I am on I Cloud do I have to share with world. Some how my book a proof got on the internt, it is not even copyrighted yet. I wanted to get permission for another author to use some of their ideas in my book, she got it. That is when I disvovered the whole world got it. And that is not what I wanted. I do not want to publish without getting the copy right. So Should I stay away from I cloud? Help me understand.

iCloud is a service for syncing your emails, calendars, contacts, iWork documents, and photos with a server area to which only you have password-protected access, and from there to any other devices you have. So for example, if you add a contact or take a photo on your Mac it will automatically appear on your iPhone and iPad.
No-one else has access to this data unless you give them the password, which obviously you would not do. The scenarios you describe have nothing to do with iCloud - obviously I can't say what was going on there, but if you want to publish a book you wouldn't do it in iCloud anyway: it does not provide general file storage, file sharing, nor website hosting.

This is up to you and not determined by the iPhone.
You can sync each iPhone with the same iTunes library and each iPhone has its own sync preferences with iTunes, or you can have more than one iTunes library with iTunes on your computer. This will require constantly logging in and and out of each iTunes library on your computer with iTunes depending on the iPhone being synced with iTunes.

My InDesign DPS does not have a "Share" button.

If you chose the create folio offline option, click on the Folio Builder menu and choose Upload to Folio Producer.

hi, the app is not "shared", it works as if you bought the app twice with different accounts, only you paid it once. they should have 2 different villages since they're on 2 different devices.

do i have to share the /usr/sap/jtrans directory across a WebAS 6.40 systemlandscape, when using jdi? The JDI configuration on dev system works fine. Now i want to transport DC's to consolidation, but it does not work. I still added the consolidation system in Landscape Configurator -> Runntime Systems

Hi Martin,
after you set up a development track in CMS you can develop with this track in NWDS.
There you create activities, check them in, activate them and release them for transport into consolidation system.
After you released your activities they appear in the import queue of the consolidation system.
This is independent from defining or not defining a runtime system for consolidation.
To answer your question: No, you don´t have to share the dirctory.
If you have servere problems you should have my telephone number. I do consulting for NWDS at several customers. Another one ist possible.

It sounds like you have assigned the primary click on the trackpad to something else, perhaps a gesture.
Use your mouse, login and then open the Trackpad preference pane and see how you have the interface configured.
Oh and you can have both the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad powered up and working at the same time. No need to keep moving batteries around.

so i have home share and followed the directions correctly. i can see both computers on itunes while looking at each individual one. on my new computer though when i go to click on the other computer library it just sits there a few minutes and looks like its gonna load with the load bar on top than just stops. Also,its in a constant load now saying checking for new purchases. i dont know what is wrong.

Do two dot mac email accounts have to share the same address book?

I have a dot mac account with 2 email accounts. Do we both have to share the same address book? It's pretty much a hassle for both of us to have our personal contacts all mixed together. Thank you!

I guess we actually don't have a good reason. There are 4 family members using the computer, it's usually on all the time, and I guess we thought it would be easier to be able to just jump on and off without switching. But if that is the only way to have separate address books we may have to set it up that way. So do you think thats pretty much what we have to do?

Option to Share Tag Templates via Creative Cloud unavailable.

During Jason Levine's Adobe Max session, "Sort, Select, Cut: Basic Logging, Ingesting, and Rough Cutting with Prelude (S2446)", he illustrates sharing and importing Tag Templates to/from Creative Cloud (see screenshot). For some reason, I am unable to do so; the Creative Cloud icons aren't even present in the "Tag" panel (see second screenshot). I am logged into Creative Cloud through the desktop app, and have restarted both Prelude and my system to no avail. I have also tried to "authenticate" my CC account the "Prelude/Cloud Metadata/Authenticate…" dropdown menu (third screenshot), but when I enter my username/password nothing happens. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I am running Prelude CC 2014 (2014.2) under Mac OS X 10.10.2. Other CC services, such as the "Libraries" panel in Photoshop CC, are working / synching with CC. The problem seems to be limited to Prelude.

Hi David,
Due to improvements to the Creative Cloud backend after the release of Prelude 3.0, the direct "share To Creative Cloud" option has been disabled. You can still share it to the Creative Cloud by using "Save As" and saving to the local Creative Cloud folder. The template will be automatically synced to your Creative Cloud account. You can also search in Spotlight on "TagTemplates" to find the folder that Prelude saves templates into by default, and copy and paste the template into the local Creative Cloud folder. This method avoids duplication in your Tag Template panel. We expect to resolve the issue between Prelude and Creative Cloud for direct sync in the next release. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks!

Sharing an Apple ID for iTunes and App store purchases is not a problem. Just enter the same Apple ID in Settings>Store>Apple ID. You can turn on Automatic Downloads here as well. However, don't share the same iCloud account unless you want to have merged calendars and contacts. To maintain separation it's best to have separate iCloud accounts with different Apple IDs. (The Apple ID you use for iCloud does not have to be the same as the one you use for purchases in Settings>Store.)
