TS3992 Incomplete back up!

I backed up 6.8 Gigs of total 8 Gigs into the cloud with the 'Incomplete back up' message...I was forced to reset my phone to factory default.  Now I dont see anything in my icloud to restore.  Any idea if it can be recovered from anywhere?  Please help!

Simple resolution to try, disconnect device from computer and restart iPhone and computer.
Then, reconnect device and backup again in iTunes.

    You can't access specific data in a back up, you can only use it to restore a device, which it won't if it's incomplete.

    Try deleting your last backup by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.  If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

    Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

    Do what you should be generally doing - sync the photos to a computer, then you can delete them from the device.  Never trust photos just to the device or an icloud backup - too many users have lost photos that way.  Sync them to itunes...

    How do you fix the error code 'not backed up in 2 weeks'  my iPad was plugged in, charged, locked and connected to Wi-FI.  I went into my PC through itunes to manage the account and it shows backed-up.  My iPad is totally locked and I can't do anything with it - not even turn it off to re-boot.  Any ideas?

    As long as you charge it connected to wifi overnight it will backup itself, or you can click backup now button in settings- icloud- storage and backup.

  • TS3992 icloud back up cannot be completed

    Been trying to do the back up using icloud and its even have 3.3gb available on my 5gb alloted space. When it's almost done it just says back up couldnot be completed. I dont know why since there is enough space.

    And just found out that when I connect my iphone to itunes, on the summary page it shows it is backed up to icloud and recently backed up on the same day since my wi-fi is always on.Does it mean it is backed up to icloud? Should I rely on the message on itunes regarding the back up done/ Or should the message on my iphone "back up was not completed" be a problem? I know it is already a problem since its not backing up unlike before I updated software and when there was only little available space but stillback-up was done in a jiffy.

    Doing further research on this problem it seems it may (???) be a DNS problem. I read this thread

    and as it suggests on one of the problematical iMac's I set the DNS server settings in System Preferences to use these DNS:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    The iMac in question now seems to be able to access most websites although it seems a fair bit slower than my Macbook Pro.
    All of the Macs on my network have (from what I can establish) been getting their DSN info from the Airport Extreme which has in turn been getting it from the Astoria Networks ADSL router.
    Although I appear to have found a temporary fix of some sort, what I don't understand is why, with 3 Macs which appear to have identical network settings, does my Macbook Pro have no problems accessing any websites whereas both of the iMacs can not unless I add these open DNS server addresses to System Preferences. It suggests to me there is some problem with either the ADSL router or the Airport Extreme handling or providing DNS for the 2 iMacs.
    I'm a total non techie stumbling around on these issues, in a world where ISP or Apple customer support is next to non-existent, so any thoughts / suggestions would be very much appreciated!

    You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
    First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)

    Yes you can probably delete the 2 incomplete back ups they are unlikely to work.
    However, I'd be inclined to back up to a computer as well and restore from there, if you are changing your phone.

    PO approval workflow has been configured according to documentation in Metalink to
    1) send reminder#1 after 2 days
    2) reminder#2 2 days after reminder#1
    3) Auto route to next approval level 2 days after reminder#2
    The problem is, point 3 will change PO status to 'Incomplete' if it is already at the highest approval level and there is no next approval level in the hierarchy. Has anyone encounter that? Is this the standard feature of timeout for PO approval?
    If it is the standard feature of timeout for workflow, is there a workaround where auto routing can be stopped 1 level before the highest approval level?

    Thanks for your reply. I've checked the web site you give, it's not the same problem I encounter.
    My PR is not in in-process status, it is in incomplete status as if it is a new PR. This happens when the PR has been auto escalated to the highest level in the hierarchy. Guess it doesn't know where to auto escalate to once it reaches the highest level so it changes to incomplete - back to PR requestor.
    Anyone encounter this problem? Or is there a workaround where we can stop auto-escalation once it reaches the highest level in the hierarchy? Appreciate any help/suggestion.
