TS3999 How do I sync my iCloud calendar and outlook calendar

How do I sync my outlook calendar and my icloud calendars? I am using outlook 2011 for Mac and do not have an exchange account.
Do I need to add an exchange account to make this work?
If so is this difficult to add? or just like switching email accounts?

Copy all events on to just one calendar and use that. Remember to put it in the iCloud account and the On My Mac account.

    Iphone 5 seems unable to sync calendars with ITunes! The genius bar set mine to sync via Icloud, but it only worked once (?). 
    Finally I fixed it like this.
    First, I merged the multiple calendars from ICal thanks to http://www.maclife.com/article/howtos/how_merge_ical_calendars and I called it “only.”
    Second, I unchecked the gmail calendar (seems iCloud had a problem with it): On the Iphone, open the calendar, go to the bottom of the page, click on calendars and uncheck the gmail calendar. Click Done.
    Third, every time I want to sync, I go to the Iphone  Settings, iCloud, and uncheck calendars. I respond “keep on my Iphone”. Then, check calendars on again, click merge, and.… voila!

    For photos, settings > iCloud > photos > on.
    For music, you can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.

    You can't, as Microsoft chose not to include the CardDAV protocol necessary to do so (even though they do in Microsoft Office).  See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2648915.  To sync your iCloud contacts with your Mac you'll need to use the OS X Contacts (Address Book) app.

    The calendars reside on different servers and as far as I know there isn't a way to sync between them.  You can, of course, add your Google calendar to your devices and continue to use Google to keep it in sync.  If you open the Calendars app on your devices and tap Calendars on the top left, then tap Show All Calendars, your Google and iCloud calendar events will appear together your calendar.  You will only need to decide which one you wish to use as your default when adding new enteries, then set this in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.

    Just chiming in to say that the DROID 2 should be working with CompanionLink/DejaOffice. How are you trying to sync? If it's via USB, my guess is that the sync troubles are relateded to the driver software failing to install.     This sounds like an error in Time Zone support. The time zone needs to be the same in Outlook as well as the phone.

    On your mac, you could go to preferences for Contacts, under the templates tab, and add an Anniversary field.  Then that field should sync to other devices.
