TS3999 ical keeps deleting all my events the day before the event!

My ical keep deleting all my events the day defore the event and or on the day of the event! Any one having this problem or know how to fix it? thanks

How can I STOP ical from deleting all my events after a month or so

No matter how I set the preferences/settings it always keeps deleting all events after 30 to 40 days.
I have gone into preferences and checked off the
"DELETE EVENTS AFTER...
and put 99 or 999 days and it doens make a difference
If Ileave the box unchecked - it STILL doesn't make difference
Anyone has a suggestion?
as I keep loosing all the important info/phone numbers I enter.

Are you using any sync software?
The easiest thing to try is to refresh the the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart, and make sure the deletion preference is not checked.

It Keeps deleting all my music of the phone. it freezes and will not allow me to turn it on or off. if i am in the middle of an app it will randomly shut it down and turn the phone off totally (even if it is charged.) It will not charge properly, it has to be in a exact position to charge and even then go's off and on. I thought this my be my charger but the charger works fine on another phone. it will not allow texts to come through properly and sometimes will not not let me ring people it just freezes and i have to turn it off and on a couple of times in order for it to work. it will not let me update apps and the silent button is not silent it still go's of on ringer.The keyboard will freeze up not allowing me to type anything. It wants me to pay £126.44 for it to be repaire when i have nothing to do with why its not working!

Hi some how i have managed to delete all my events in iphoto i do not have time machne set up yet and would really like to get them all back can anyone offer any help, do Mac have a system restore point like windows, am still getting use to the Mac only had it about 5 weeks

That software works just fine. Ive used it, you will run a deleted file scan. You can buy that exact same software at the Apple Store. Its not made by Apple but its is used to recover deleted files.
Also - have you checked to see if the iphoto library is there in your pictures folder, if so hold controle + click, or right click on the "iPhoto Library" and sellect "show packedge contents" then find your "originas" folder - do you see your phtos there ?

In Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6), notes can be found in Mail.app. Apple didn't stick with this scheme and later removed Notes to its own app. Mystery solved.
Take a look in Mail and see what you find. I'm still not sure how best to troubleshoot this, but report what you find.
I suspect the main problem is that you are running the most recent iPhone operating system on an old iPhone and trying to sync data on an even older Mac operating system. In addition, you are not using Apple's method of moving data around (iCloud).
I'm sorry to say that I'm not surprised there are problems. It *should* work, as Apple still supports (if minimally) all of your stuff. But you're pushing the limits.
If Notes continues to be a problem, you could try a third-party system for notes. Simplenote is a good place to start (simplenoteapp.com). There is an iPhone app and you might be able to run the web application (the Mac app is only for )S 10.8 and above).

I performed a homogeneous system copy of our development BW system with the database (oracle 11.2.0.3) from the BW production system!
I already start the oracle database and the SAP system in the target system/server (development BW system) and I´m doing some follow-up activities. One of this activities is (at the system copy guide 6.2.3.2 Activities at Database Level) is to delete all entries from the following tables:
DBSTATHORA, DBSTAIHORA, DBSTATIORA, DBSTATTORA
I tried to delete them using SQL Plus:
sqlplus /nolog
SQL> connect /as sysdba
SQL> delete from DBSTATTORA;
delete from DBSTATTORA
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
... and it show me that error message.
This is strange because when I go to transaction SE14 and check the DBSTATTORA I see that table exist and contain a lot of entries!
Why this is happened in SQL Plus!? I´m running the correct SQL statement for doing this type of task or not?
How can I delete the entries of that tables? Can I do that using the transaction SE14?
Can you help me please?

It doesn't surprise me as you are not mentioning the schema name here. Instead it should be
delete from SAPSR3.DBSTATTORA;
Assuming the schema owner is SAPSR3. if the owner is different then replace that with the correct one.

I don't know what to tell you if you really are running iOS 5 but on iOS 8 when you hold down a message you get the options Copy and More. When you click more you can select a specific message and click the trash can to delete just that message. Check and see if you have that as an option.

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.
An alternative which is really not what you should have to do, or the way it is intended to be done, if you properly manage your computer and backups:

Do not regard your i-device as a reliable unique storage for your media. It is not a backup device and everything is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself backed up.

All my photos have been imported to iPhoto library. Is it safe therefore to delete all photos in the Finder pictures folder? It seems crazy to have them duplicated (all are backed up externally). And are they full size images in iPhoto?

Assuming you have iPhoto set to the Default setting, then yes, your full sized photos are copied into the iPhoto Library and so you can delete your own stored in the Finder.
Easiest way to check: Select a photo in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder Window should open with the file selected. Is it stored within the iPhoto Library? You can tell easily in the Finder's column view.
As an FYI:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

I have 7 email accounts on my phone. If I tap EDIT while viewing the Trash folder in any of them I see "Mark All" on the left and "Delete All" on the right. If you tap any message, however, the legends go away.

While you can't (so far as I know) remove it - you can assign a different (& less likely to be used accidentally) one via System Preferences - Keyboard - Shortcuts.
Go there, create a new one (or 2) for Mail only, and give it the exact name(s) if the menu item(s) in question, capitalisation & ... included.
