  • Calendar time zone on iOS 7

the time zone has disappearead on the calendar after updating to ios 7, how can it be defined? I travel a lot and this feature was very helpful in avoiding errors.

You have to enable Time Zone Support under Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section at the bottom).  If you enable the setting while you are in the middle of creating an event, you have to cancel and re-create it.
Now, when you create a new Calendar entry, it will have a Time Zone field under the End time setting.

  • Iphone 4s exchange calendar time zones

I have a user with an iphone 4s and the time zones are not matching up when entering calendar events into Outlook (synching via Exchange on the iphone). all events entered into the outlook calendar are set to eastern time zones and we are in st. louis (central time zone). However, our server is hosted in the eastern time zone. Now, our hosting provider has set the time zone of our server to the central time zone so that should take care of the server side. what other things can we check to determine why the wrong time zone is being set?

    FOR CORRECT TIME ON CALENDAR:
Set both the time and your time zone on the Calendar Add Event page.
Set your time zone in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Time Zone Support.
Set your time zone in Settings>General>Date and Time.

  • IOS Calendar & Time Zone Choices

I use Time Zone Support on all my devices... Mac, iPhone and iPad. On the iOS devices, to change the calendar to a new time zone, I have to go to System Preferences/Mail, Contacts,Calendars/Time Zone Support and use the search field, going through the whole search proccess with a whole batch of International cities each time. Isn't there a way of having the obviously most used ones -- New York, Chicago, Denver, LA -- just stay there in the menu choice? Or better still, simply Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific. How 'bout "Add to Favorites..." Or something. This is in need of some real Apple usability. Or am I missing something?

i want reset time zone. i live korea, i want see only korean stadard time. how do mac os x caldender time zone reset?
    Help, please.

I am just going to give you examples of what I think you want to do.
This just shows you a list of my calendars in my iCloud account. Note the "Hide" to the right of the "iCloud"? That only appears when you hover the mouse over it.
This shows what happens with you click on the "Hide".
Notice that I've unchecked "The Boys" calendar? That makes all of the events that are located under "The Boys" to disappear.
This just shows what happens with I re-check "The Boys", note "Joo's Medication" is now showing on June 1 at 12PM?
This just shows what happens when you click "Calendars" that is next to the "+" in the gray area.
So any of my examples what you are thinking of?

  • ICloud calendar times out by one hour

My iCal is fine, this is where I usually enter my info.
iCloud is one hour behind, I have entered the correct time zone. It doesn't matter where I access my iCloud from it is still out by one hour.
I did take some screenshotsof both calendars to demonstrate but the content was not 'allowed' to be uploaded, whatever that means. Any ideas

this is the solution fromanother post
Well, I finally figured it out myself.  It is not very intuitive.  By double-clicking on the account name in the upper right of the main iCloud window (in one's browser), one can change the time zone.  However, by itself that will not cause anything to appear differently.  Nor will telling iCloud to refresh the calendar.  It is necessary to logout of iCloud and then log back in.  That sets all events in the right time zone.

  • Problem caused with appt times by changing calendar time zone support?

    I've got a 30Gb iPod Touch, version 4.0.2.
I've always kept the Settings' Date & Time timezone for the correct location, but it was only a while back that I realized that there was also a Time Zone under the Settings, Calendar, and so I changed it so that it was correct (it was previously set to Kabul, AF time, and it was then changed to Ottawa, ON time).
I'm thinking that this may have messed up all my future appointments, as my appointments have been switched to midnight or somewhere near it, for the day prior to when the appointment was supposed to have been. I can't think of anything else that would be causing this, and didn't see this exact problem occurring for anyone else when I did a search of the discussions.
Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening and what I can do to set it right?

    Hi Cindiii,
Time zone support has often been a point of contention and confusion for many users. Unfortunately, there is no simple fix at the present time. Do you have any idea as to why you touch was set to Kabul? Did you buy it new? If not, perhaps the last user had it set to this time?
In any case, Calendar does allow for its own time zone settings. This is to allow the user to create events for his/her home time zone while traveling. Even if your system time zone reflects the current time zone that you are in, appointments added to Cakendar will show up in the time zine that you choose based in the time zone you set in the Calendar settings.
This definitely sets up conflicts if you are trying to schedule an appointment that is outside of your home time zone. Now that you have switched the time zone in your Calendar settings to your home time zone, there is nothing you can do about the events already created. As I see it, you have only two options:
    1. Change the time zone back to Kabul time and view your events as though they were your local time, or
    2. Leave the time zone in the Calendar settings to your home time zone and either time adjust the events in your head (knowing the time difference), or manually changing them to the correct time one by one.
I'm sorry this doesn't provide you with a magic solution, but I really don't see any other alternatives.

  • Setting ipad calendar / time zones help?

    Hi,
We are new ipad users and are placing flight & hotel details in the ipad calendar for a once in a life time global 6 week trip.
The point of purchasing the ipad was so that we could contain the info in one device...the calendar appears to be the only spot for that (other than e mails).
I have been changing the time zone within the calendar days to suit the destination....and am very confused (not difficult!) about the results....
Is it okay to set the time zones in advance and while still in the UK or not?
    Thanks

When I create event on my iPhone only this iPhone and Outlook has correct time. By the way, creating the event I am checking if time zone is correct.
My local time zone is Moscow (which is gmt +3) at the moment. When created event on my iPhone is shown at correct time but if editing it shows Denver time. Same event synced to the other iPhone is one hour ahead and showing GMT+3 in description.
Hope it makes although it is very strange behavior.

  • Calendar time zones droid2 global

Exported Outlook 2002 mountain standard time calendar to Gmail calendar, also mountain standard, but appointments come in as central time. Same on my device. How do I get appointments on Gmail desktop and device to show mountain standard?

I have provided instructions below on how to set your time zone to mountain standard time on your Motorola Droid 2:
From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
    Select Settings.
    Select Date & time.
To use network provided date & time values select Automatic.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
    Select Set date.
Adjust the date then select Set.
    Select Select time zone.
    Select the time zone.
    Select Set time.
Adjust the time then select Set.
If desired, select Use 24-hour format.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
    Select Select date format.
    Select the date format.

  • Notification time zone different than calendar time zone

    On the iPad...
Notification of a calendar event is displayed in Eastern time zone while the calendar event is scheduled in Central time zone.
Notifications and Calendar are both set to automatic.
How does one get Notifications to display Calendar events as Central time zone?
The MacBook Pro displays both Notifications and Calendar events as Central time zone.

"srvctl setenv database -d fawms -t TZ=CST6CDT" but it didn't work. The DB. is taken the timezone CST5CDT."
As long as you set it the timezone that way - should be good -
Just remember though if you logged in as SYS - you will not see the timezone change from your command at the crs level

  • Vista Calendar time zone shift

    Windows Vista, current updates
    Nokia PC Suite 6.85.14.1
    Phone is Nokia 6120c
    Connected by USB
Vista is set to timezone (GMT+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
    Phone is set to
    Time Zone: Local time
    Network operator time: Auto-update
    Sync settings are
    Contacts to Windows Contacts
    Calendar to Windows Calendar
    The problem:
A calendar item is entered on the phone. When it is synchronised to the computer, the appointment appears in Windows Calendar with a time 10 hours later.
A calendar item is entered on Windows Calendar. When it is synchronised to the phone, the phone shows it at the correct time.
After you synchronise a few times, a calendar appointment appears can appear multiple times with +10 hour, +20 hour etc.
What needs to be done to make the phone / Nokia PC Suite and Windows Calendar think they are using the same time zone, instead of shifting all phone calendar appointments by 10 hours when synchronising?

I have exactly the same problem. My N80 syncs OK with Mac OSX iCal but gets confused by Vista's calendar.
Changing the recurring items in Windows Calendar to have a time zone of "floating" seemed to help a little - they are now only 1 hour out instead of 10(or 11).
It seems that the experts in the northern hemisphere are not interested in this problem at this time of year. Maybe we should post the problem again in a few months.

  • TS3999 iCloud Calendar Problems

Im having trouble syncing my Icloud calendar to my computer. It will appear on my iphone and ipad but not my IMAC nor my sisters PC. We are trying to link calendars with work

    Hi Elizablessed24,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article you've referenced is the correct one for troubleshooting the iCloud Calendar.  Did you try each of the steps in the "Troubleshooting on OS X" section?  I've highlighted a few of the key points below.  When you have iCloud working on your Mac, then proceed to the section of the article for Windows troubleshooting.
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999?viewlocale=en_US
    Troubleshooting on OS X:
Confirm that you've turned on iCloud Calendar:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu (), then click iCloud.
If you're using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later, make sure that the Calendars checkbox is selected.
If you're using OS X Mountain Lion or Lion, make sure that the Calendars & Reminders checkbox is selected.
Try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Make sure that you are using OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Calendar or iCal. Learn how to troubleshoot your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Calendar requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click the icon for iCloud. Make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
Make sure that you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list are updated in iCloud.
If recent changes don't appear, try forcing Calendar to refresh by selecting Refresh Calendars from the View menu. In iCal, select Refresh or Refresh All from the Calendar menu.
Make sure that your account was successfully created in Calendar (or iCal) on your Mac. After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm that your account is configured correctly in Calendar (or iCal):
    Open Calendar (or iCal).
    Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name in the Apple ID field.
Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
Replace the checkmark next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
    Close System Preferences.
Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
    Cheers,
    - Judy

  • Calendar time zones messed up...

Since updating to iOS8 I am having major issues with time zones in my calendars.
I have set Time Zone Override to off on both my devices (So all events should display according to the time zone of my current location)
I have various accounts set up on both my iphone and iPad; I'll use my exchange account as an example of my problem:
When I enter a new calendar entry on my iPad it all looks fine (Eg a 1 hour appointment from 12:00 midday on Friday)
When I then view the same entry in my iphone, it shows it as 13:00 to 14:00 CEST. If i go to edit it on my phone, it shows the time zone as set to Berlin!
I have the exact same issue the other way round if I enter an appointment on my phone; when I view it on my iPad it shows the time zone as CEST Berlin...
My shared (family calendar) is equally messed up...
*** is happening please someone; it's driving me mad...

  • ICloud Calendar Time Issues

Does iCloud not know there is a 1 hour time difference between Brisbane and Sydney, every year between October and April ???
My iPhone and iPad calendars are 1 hour out from iCloud calendar when signed in on Mac, despite being set to Brisbane Time. My Mac has the correct time also. When I re set  it using the little map it just keeps defaulting to Sydney, Eastern Standard Time and changing the times I have entered by one hour ? I will contact Apple tomorrow or am I missing something obvious here ?

Try adding a new event on your phone then check your calendar on icloud.com from a computer to see if the event appears there.  If not, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.  Here, make sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your defult (and not something else like On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo, an exchange account calendar, etc.)  After setting your iCloud calendar as your default, try adding an event again to see if it appears on icloud.com now.
If your default account setting is correct and it still doesn't sync to icloud.com, add any missing events from your phone's calendar to icloud.com.  After the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, on your phone go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then after a minute or so turn Calendars back to On.  Then try adding a new event on your phone again and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
Once you phone is syncing properly, go through these same steps on your iPad.

  • My calendar time zones are misbehaving!

I've tried turning on and off airplane mode, restarting, and going in and out of time zone support.
The whole reason I have a smartphone is to track my calendar!
This was happening before I upgraded to iOS6,
but at least before I could manage to fix it.
Now it just wont get it right -
it thinks I'm stuck on the east coast.

I don't have a real solution either. When I'm travelling I turn off automatic time zone changes, stay in my original time zone and fix the time manually. But I agree, it is not understandable at all how someone can program this in such an awkward way and not fix it in years.
    cu,
    Michael
