TS3999 lost half of my calendar when moving to icloud

I just moved to icloud and during the update my calendar "unexpectedly quit". Only some of the events are showing (about half) and I don't know how to retrieve the lost events or if it is possible?? Help! I organize the family schedules with ical - I need the events back!

  • Problem with subscribed calendars when moving to iCloud

    Hi,
    in preparing the upgrade from Mountain Lion to Maverick I have tried to setup calendar syncing via iCloud. I was using direct sync to my iOS devices via iTunes so far. Unfortunately I can't get it to work. The main problematic symptom now is that the calendars, that I have subscribed to, appear multiple times (10 times or more) and Calendar hangs with the message "Moving calendars to server account".
    I have disabled iCloud again, deleted all subscriptions and then turned iCloud back on. Surprisingly the subscribed calendars reappear, again multiple times. I have also checked in iCloud on the web. Those calendars do not show up there. The symptoms are the same when I delete all old calendars there also.
    So the subscriptions seem to render calendar syncing to iCloud unworkable, but I also cannot get rid of them. Any ideas?
    Thomas

    Try this:
    <fx:Declarations>
    <s:XMLListCollection id="dp">
    <fx:XMLList xmlns="">
    <product label="€2" data="{twoEuroTotal}" />
    <product label="€1" data="{oneEuroTotal}" />
    <product label="50c" data="{fiftyCentTotal}" />
    </fx:XMLList>
    </s:XMLListCollection>
    </fx:Declarations>

  • HT4597 My MobileMe iCal dates disappeared when moving to iCloud

    Any idea why my dates din=dn't transfer in the transition to iCloud?

    your email address doesn't change when moving to iCloud.  It's still @me.com

  • HT4898 Why have Apple turned off keychain sync when moving to iCloud?

    This was one of the most useful feature I found as I didn't have to remember my passwords when moving from one Apple device to another. I think its pretty daft that this has been dropped! So what to do now ? Any advice?

    No one knows here, since we're just users - and no one every reported why Apple did this.  There must have been a good reason though.  But we'll never know.

  • ITunes and MobileMe IDs when moving to iCloud

    I obtained an iTunes account many years ago and have purchased a lot of music and video content since then.  More recently I began using the mobileme service, so I now have an [email protected] e-mail address.  iTunes will not let me change my iTunes e-mail address to [email protected]
    I am about to move to iCloud.  When registering for iCloud should I use my existing iTunes account or my existing mobileme account?  Or does Apple offer a simpler solution to resolve this 'two accounts' issue.

    Thanks Julian.  This looks good (although would be nice if Apple allowed me to solve this issue rather than work around it!).  This article offers some additional advice: http://www.macworld.com/article/163013/2011/10/all_about_icloud_common_signup_sc enarios.html#lsrc.nl_mwweek_h_crawl

  • Lost subscribed calendars when migrating to iCloud

    My husband and I each have Mobile Me subscriptions.  I subscribe to two of his calendars.   I have migrated to iCloud (he has not yet) and I have lost his subscriptions.  I have resent the inviations to subscribe but this doesn't work.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

    Two issues here: your crontab file, and cron under Tiger.
    Installing a new major-version of OS X updates all your system config files to those for the latest versions, which unfortunately means local modifications often get lost. You should be able to re-add tasks to those files (either by hand-editing them or using the 'crontab' command). However, first you have to consider:
    On Tiger, cron is still present and usable, but Apple is moving towards using "launchd" and "periodic" services to accomplish what it used to do with cron. Here is an into from Apple: http://developer.apple.com/macosx/launchd.html Can you accomplish what you used to do with cron using the New Way? Or if you switch control of some tasks back to cron, disable those tasks in launchd.
    Edit: Here's a useful discussion from MacOSXHints about these issues: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=44671

  • What happens to gallery when moving to iCloud?

    I have migrated to iCloud from MobileMe.  How do I share photos, movies etc with other people now that Gallery which was part of MobileMe, is no longer available?

    Gallery will continue to be available to you exactly as it was before until mobile me is switched off in June 2012. After then you will need to find an alternative service as iCloud offers no similar feature.

  • HT5225 will printers be affected when moving to ICLOUD

    If I move my system to iCloud, is my HP printer still compatible?

    iCloud has nothing to do with printing.
    Do you mean Lion?  If so, it is possible you will have to update your printer drivers.  It depends upon which HP you have. Odds are it will work just fine.

  • ICal issues since moving to iCloud

    I have had nothing but problems with my calendar since moving to iCloud. I have 2 desktops, both at Lion; a MBP at Lion; an iPad and an iPhone, both at iOS 5.x. Items added seem to disappear. On the laptop and desktops, even if I unclick the "on my mac" they continue to display, and are clicked automatically.  Isn't the idea to get everything up on iCloud, and not on my mac at all?
    Part of the frustration may be more associated with iCal itself.  The "create quick event" was the worst change to this app that has ever been implemented, and I've been using iCal and a .mac account since they were first offered.
    In iCal prefs, I only have 2 accounts- the work Exchange acct and my iCloud acct.and in the iCloud control panel, Calendars are checked. What am I missing?
    Thx,

    I think each member of the family Pack needs to move their account to iCloud. Screenshot from Here

  • Lost all my Calendars when I went to iCloud

    So I moved to iCloud and then my iCal on my MacBook was outof step with my iPhone and iPad. So I went to the Apple Store in Rancho Cucamongaand they deleted all of my iCal entries on my iPhone and then went iCloud frommy MacBook Then my iCal on my MacBook and iPhone were in step. When I got home,I did the same thing on my iPad and then I LOST ALL MY CALENDARS!!
    I relied on iCal and do not have a backup, and Time Machineand Carbonite (which I use) do not have an iCal backup.
    I need to get my iCal back. PLEASE HELP!!

    I ended up going to the Apple Store and it took 2 people to get this problem resolved.
    Basically, they did the following:
    deleted all of my iCal calendars from all devices
    deleted iCloud from Mac Book, iPhone and iPad
    turned of wireless (so sync would not work)
    restored from a week back from Time machine the Calendar data in the Library folder
    saved each of the calendars out as an .ics
    turned on wireless again
    created iCloud on the devices again
    turned of wireless (so sync would not work)
    created the calendars I have before on all the devices
    restoredthe .ics files
    turned on wireless again and then synced
    everything in iCal was back to one week ago, which was better than having nothing!!
    Be VERY careful moving to iCloud!

  • Recovery of Calendar data lost when Merging with iCloud

    I Was wondering if anyone could help.
    Basically, I have somehow managed to wipe ALL the entries from my partners iPhone 5c calendar when turning calendars on for iCloud. When prompted I pressed the merge calendars button and then everything disappeared. I turned iCloud calendars off again and the calendar which was called something like "on my iphone" has disappeared.
    I downloaded some 3rd party software which scanned the phone and found the calendar entries, but to restore them would cost my £55 for the full version of the software. Is there a way to access this data and restore it without spending this sort of money?
    Just to complicate matters, a backup of her phone hasn't been done since the start of june, roughly 7 weeks ago. I'm concerned that if I restore from that backup she'll lose contacts she's added since there along with saves and other updates she's made to apps on her phone, which will put me in even more trouble than I'm in already. I'm guessing the phone hasn't been synced with iTunes since this backup was made, although I have transferred recent purchases.
    So, is there a way to recover the calendar data that has disappeared without losing anything else?
    Thanks for for your help

    Hi
    No I hadn't created a Calendar Archive before this mishap (I will now), and I thought it would be covered by the Time Machine Backup.   I was activating my iCloud drive for the first time and I think that it was doing this that somehow lost the calendar data. Previously the Calendar data was on the Mac hard drive.
    I have now managed to get the old calendar back, but I don't quite know how.
    The links to calendar backup in your reply led me to tinker more with the Time Machine, and the data on the My Passport drive directly. I could not see the any calendar directly in Finder or Time Machine, but a Finder search on My Passport's latest backup showed various calendar stuff, including .ics files, in [users/myname/library] which were hidden.
    I either restored one of these, or imported one via Calendar. I tried both, but neither seemed to work at the time. However, I reopened Calendar a some time later and found that the “lost” calendar had returned.
    I couldn't find a way of revealing hidden files in the preferences, and I think that the library containing the Calendar files must be hidden because I could only see them via “search”.
    Anyway, all's well that ends well, but I wish that I really knew how I fixed it. Thanks for your help.

    You did import these important photos over to an alternative storage medium, just like you would with any digital camera, right?

    Vista + Outlook 2007 + Icloud : Lost all contacts and calendar in outlook when installing/Synchronizing iCloud. Both still available on iphone and iCloud.
    How to get them back in Outlook? Understand iCloud erased them and transferred them in an other outlook account. In Outlook 2007, I can see a folder called "iCloud" but get an error message ("The set of folders cannot be opened...") when clicking on it. I suspect all is there, but no access possible. I assume some Outlook settings are uncorrect, but wonder which settings...?

    Well. Working just fine now, since uninstalling and re-installing icloud and syncing.
