TS3999 MS Outlook and iCloud not synching

I've updated a recurring event in MS Outlook, but iCloud won't update...even going to iCloud and making the change it doesn't update.
I've logged out of icloud, logged back in, tried updating again with negative results.

  • TS3999 my outlook calendar is not synching through icloud even though both PC and iphone set up that way

This is weird, i am not good at open inquiry.. but think something simple is not set.  I did have synching initially when accepted icloud synch, instead of direct connect of iphone and PC.  Something has changed on Calendars and thus appts are not synching.  HELP!

If new events added to your phone are not appearing on your calendar on icloud.com, one thing to check on your phone is Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.  This should be set to your iCloud calendar.  Then add a new event on your iPhone calendar and see if it syncs to icloud.com properly.
If your settings are correct and new events on your phone are still not syncing to your calendar on icloud.com, add any missing events on your iPhone to your calendar on icloud.com.  Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your calendar will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On.  Then add a new event to your phone and see if it syncs to icloud.com now.

  • Cloud not synching between phone/imac/mac book pro, calendar and addresses not synching.

addresses and calendar not synching between 3 devices.. phone, iMac and mac book pro.
dates are correct, iCloud is on for those applications. etc.

Your profile shows that you are running OS X 10.6.7.  If that's true, you will need to update a iCloud requires OS X 10.7.5 or later.  If you are running a more recent version of OS X and your data still isn't syncing, check to be sure of the following:
That your Mac and iOS devices are signed into the same iCloud account and have Calendars and Contacts turned on in Settings (System Preferences)>iCloud.
That you have selected iCloud as your Default Account for contacts in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars on your iOS devices and in Contacts (Address Book)>Preferences>General on your Macs.
That you have selected an iCloud calendar as your Default Calendar in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars on your iOS devices and in Calendar (iCal)>Preferences>General on your Macs.

  • Had to have my hard drive rebuilt in my PC (not Mac). When I reinstalled my music library from iTunes, several of the songs did not download properly - they appear in light colored ink on my library list but the songs will not play and will not synch

Had to have my hard drive rebuilt in my PC (not a Mac).  When I reinstalled my music library from itunes, some of the songs did not properly download.  They appear in light colored ink, but will not play and will not synch with my iPod.  How can I get all of my songs back?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • IPhone and IPad not synching wirelessly

iPad and iPhone not synching wirelessly or even when connected to iMac. iMac sees and tries to synch but devices not responding. Seem to work fine yesterday. Wondering if I changed something in settings?

I just downloaded the new I tunes and was having trouble getting into the iTunes store. I then noticed that neither my iphone4s or iPad 2 were showing up in the right side list.
The right side list? Where is this area that you are talking about? My iDevices appear on the left side of the iTunes window when iTunes is running. I sync with WiFi.
I charge my iPhone every other day and my iPad every few days so they should synch.  Have it set up in iTunes correctly.
What does charging either device have to do with syncing?
I need to do the synch manually ? Does this have something to do with not being able to get into I tunes store on desktop?  It just hangs
If iTunes just hangs, I think it can be safely assumed that you might not be able to sync.
Frankly I am just a bit confused by your explanation on what is going on with your devices and iTunes.

  • Outlook and icloud contacts and mail sync OK but calendar will not.  Why?

I have Outlook 2010 on a Win 7 PC.  iCloud syncs Mail and Contacts with my iP4 and Outlook without any problems but Outlook Calendar will not.  iCloud set up procedure worked fine with Contacts and Mail.  But when setup is run for Calendar, a message pop up says that iCloud Mail must be "enabled" in Outlook before Calendar can be synced.
iCloud Mail has been setup on iP4 and in Outlook.  I can send and receive test messages to "me.com" from the iP but can't send test messages from the "me.com" account setup in Outlook.  When I try to send a test message from Outlook mail account setup a dialog box asks for my "me.com" password which I enter but then asks me again and again until I finally give up.  So, I think I've set it up but clearly, it's not been "enabled" to allow syncing with Calendar even though Contacts and Mail seems to work.  BTW, Outlook navigation pane (left side) shows an iCloud folder in both Contacts and Mail but NOT in Calendar.  Which shows, I think, that Calendar has indeed not been enabled.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

  • Using iCloud - not synching ibooks

My iBooks are not synching from ipad to iphone 4s
    Any suggestions?

Sorry. Not sure where those ampersands came from. Anyways, I found that in order to be able to sync your iCloud calendar to your mac osx lion calendar you must first open up prefs in iCal and go to accounts, then add new account. Here you will have the option to select "iCloud" account. Once you do, you will notice that you will have a duplicate of every event in your calendar. This is because it is displaying "your mac calendar" and "iCloud" calendar all at once. All you got to do is click on calendars on the top left (within iCal of course) and deselect all the "your mac calendars" leaving solely iCloud. This may just be a work around but it seems it's just (do i dare say it?) "by design"

  • Syncing Comcast Outlook and iCloud

I need to sync my Comcast Outlook Contacts onto my iCloud on my new laptop. First, how do I configure my Comcast Outlook onto the new laptop? Second, does the syncing happen automatically?

Correction to that - if I add something to iCal on my desktop, it does (eventually!) show up on Outlook. But not if I add it to my phone or icloud.com.
So Outlook will go outwards, to phone but nowhere else.
And will accept inwards from desktop, but nowhere else.
    Completely illogical!

  • Sync Outlook and iCloud

    Hello!
PING to the server was lost imap.mail.me.com
Because of this I can not sync Outlook folders and iCloud?
    What do I do?

You have to create your iCloud account on an iOS device such as your iPad (by going to Settings>iCloud and signing in with your Apple ID), or on a Mac running OS X Lion or higher.  After creating the account, you can download and install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows on your PC from here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html (requires Vista SP2 or higher), then sign into your iCloud account, as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.

  • Outlook and iCloud, could they sync continually?

I just recently set up icloud on all my devices, I have an iphone and an HP computer. I use Outlook quite often and I love that it synchonizes with OneNote (a note taking program which is part of the Microsoft Office programs). OneNote allows me to create tasks inside of my notes, tasks which appear on Outlook, which then reminds me on my phone or my computer. However ever since I synced Outlook with iCloud this has not worked out. While Outlook and OneNote still sync perfectly, iCloud does not recieve any of the new tasks.
Is there a setting somewhere that will fix this? Is there anyway to keep uploading the Outlook calendar/tasks to iCloud?
If anyone has a solution I would greatly appreciate it!

Ah yes, forgot to mention that it looks fine on my iPhone and iPad. And by fine I mean it's identical to icloud.com/mail.

  • Ipod touch 4th gen..updated to the most recent iOS and can not synch to get my apps and music back

... my ipod locked up.  I found the instructions to reboot.  I then had to reset it to factory settings.  Now the ipod will not synch to bring back all my apps and music (which I can see on my itunes account). When I connect to the computer with the USB cable, it opens up itunes and goes right to the 'set up your ipod' screen and asks me to restore from a backup.  I have done this at least three times.  I even dissabled my security / antivirus software and still no success. What steps am I missing?

Downgrading is not supported by Apple.
Apps can be downloaded again for free: Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If he still has any backup, for example as part of the computer backup routine, he could restore the settings and data again by replacing the iTunes backup folder. The folder is located here:
    Windows XP:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

  • Windows 8 mail app, has my icloud account on but none of my icloud contacts depsite merging outlook and icloud on the icloud control panel... Help?? :)

windows 8 mail app, has my icloud email accounton it, but none of my icloud contacts depite the fact that i have merged outllok and icloud on the icloud control panel

What you have experienced, though annoying, doesn't necessarily mean someone has hacked your account, though if you were finding that you were blocked because the sending limit had been reached that might indicate that you had been hacked.
What can happen is that when people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two methods. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. The first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam. However changing your password on general principles is a good idea.
