TS3999 My calendar doesn't show up in the icloud, how come? It's on my iPad and iPhone, appointments are not syncing.
I'm setting up a new 5C, want to make sure my calendar transfers over. Doesn't show up in the icloud site, no appointments. What am i missing?
Make sure you are entering events on an iCloud calendar, and not the On My iPhone (iPad) calendar or on a calendar from an external account such as Gmail (Google), Yahoo, or and exchange account. Only your iCloud calendar will sync with iCloud.

Solutions?No, I never really found an easy solution. I believe it is an issue with some corruption in the iTunes database on the specific device. In my case, both my iPad and iPhone now show duplicate stream songs if viewed through iTunes on my Mac, but they show different songs. A couple years ago I had a similar issue on my iPhone, and Apple support suggested I back up the phone, completely reset it, and then restore it from the backup. It did work, so I imagine it would probably work for my current issues with the iPhone and iPad. But resetting and restoring an iPad or iPhone always makes me a little nervous that something will get lost. When I did reset/restore the iPhone, I do have to say, the restore process was 100% perfect and I did not lose any data at all even though Apple support said I might. If you try to go that route, I would suggest backing the device up both to a computer through iTunes, and to the iCloud so that you have a double backup.
None of this really resolves the issue with how the iTunes databases are becoming corrupted on the apple devices though, so it is very likely to happen again until they fix it. I have been unable to determine if there were any specific actions or conditions which caused the corruption to happen in the first place.
Might be worth another call to Apple support, or dropping in the local Apple store if you have one near by. -
Google contacts and calendar events entered on my iPhone 5s are not syncing with my google account.
Newly entered contacts and calendar events entered on my IPhone 5s are not syncing to google.
Facts that may be pertinent:
- I switched from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5s and did the easy option of having it automatically set up like my previous phone, so I did not change any part of the setup. It is possible that it stopped syncing at that time, based on which contacts have synced and which haven't.
- My gmail account is set up as Exchange, with Mail, Contacts, and Calendars set to sync.
- Server: m.google.com, Use SSl is on, S/MIME is off (I don't actually know what these are, but maybe they matter?)
- Fetch New Data / Gmail account is set to Push
- Contacts and Calendar Default Account is Gmail
- In the Contacts app under Groups I have only GMAIL checked.
I've read that Google recommends CardDAV, which I gather is not the same as Exchange?
I'm afraid to delete anything and start over, for fear of losing my contacts.
Is there a difference between the gmail account I set up and what the Contacts app calls GMAIL?
If there is anything I should communicate about how things are set up on the Google end, let me know.

Try this...
Go to the isync program on your Mac.
Go to Preferences in the main menu
Hit Reset Sync History
I'm pretty sure this is how I fixed it... so far so good.

My iPhoto videos are not showing up in iMovie? I have quit, shut down my Mac and they still are not showing up? What can I do to resolve this?
It is also posible to go back to the imovie you had before, it is still on your computer - you go to Finder and it is in a folder in your programs. Many others have gone back to the old program, and perhaps I am also going to do that too.
In the new imovie it does not come up the question "do you want to download these videos ...."
You shall in imovie open your iphotolibrary in top on the left side,( it is standing under libraries) and you can see all the events you have in iphoto, then you can open the event, you shall use and drag the movies and pictures from the events in iphoto to an events in imovie. If you can,t see your libraries, you can click on a show button on top of the left side.
On the picture you see here iphoto is market on the top of the left side and the pictures to the left is my iphoto-events - and there I can open the one I shall use, and find my movies.

Latest iPad and iPhone Folio is not showing up in my app
I recently updated my app to v31 and in doing so I think I may have been locked out of updating any new folios. I uploaded v29 folios while the app was in review and nada, nothing would update. Today i declined the App binary to see if that was the problem and still the folios are not in my app???? Product ID is correct and these are uploaded as public and retail.
Purchasing additional iCloud storage doesn't increase the capacity of your phone. The amount of storage on your phone is fixed when you purchase it. iCloud is designed to sync your data across your devices, not increase the capacity of your devices. The only exception is music. If you subcribe to iTunes Match you can delete the music from your phone and your iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) will be available to download and play from iCloud.
Automatic downloads for music and apps has to be enabled in settings. First, both devices have to have the same Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores. Then go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores and turn on Music and Apps (an Books too, if you want to) under Automatic Downloads. After doing so, when you purchase an app or song on one device it will automatically download to the other. -
Ipad2 and Iphone 4 will not sync calendar only contacts
Hello. I have a problem with an ipad2 and iphone 4. The same @me account on both which has been migrated to icloud. I put a contact on either device and almost immediately is in the other one. They are both 3g and they are now on a wifi network. (i am syncing via wifi)
The calendar is the issue. There are many events on both devices -different events- but they will not sync as the contacts do.
any ideas on what I can do? My problem is more than that but i will settle ti fix this one (I also have the original ipad which is not syncing either contacts nor calendar)
Any suggestion on how to have the push/fetch settting?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also the calendars are the calendar which comes with the ipad, i am not using google calendar or contacts, just plain vanilla what came with the devices, i dont care about itunes sync/pictures/apps, just the calendar and contacts.
Thank you in advanced to anyone who can help.Also, I forgot to mention, I stopped the calendar in all devices and rebooted them. I then waited before starting the calendar to see if it would sync but with no success.
I do not know what else to try. I think the push/fetch settings are ok because the contacts sync well and fast. I am out of ideas as to what to do to get the built in calendar to sync.

My calendar in 10.8.2 never finishes updating and new entries are not syncing to cloud
When i open the Calendar app and choose to refresh my calendars the 'Calendar -- Updating...' message at the top of the calendar window never goes away and the new entries on my computer do not make it to the cloud. Additionaly new entries on the cloud - created on my phone or on the web - do not make it to my calendar.
Any sugguestions?Good suggestion. I did that and it seems to have worked! It synced through the manual sync, of course, but I have also now made a couple of test entries and they do go through both ways - ALTHOUGH it takes much longer (a few minutes) to show on my phone when the entry is originated in my computer, whereas when the entry is done in my phone it takes literally two seconds to show up on my computer. I'll take it, though, as long as it continues to work.

Why aren't apps showing in purchased history of the app store?
I have this issue also. Both lists (purchased and not on this ipad) attempt to refresh but seem to timeout and leave the page empty. Can only assume that there's an issue at Apples end. Quiet annoying though.

I just got my wife a Macbook air, and cannot figure out why our shared calendars work with both of our Ipads and Iphones, on my icloud account but not her account or her new air.

IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I REALLY need to get this fixed...it is causing major business issues. " No one so far has had a fix.... :(

How can I add a new calendar to my Mac and share it with my wife's Mac. I execute the normal process and she receives the email and accepts sharing but the new calendar doesn't show up on her mac or iPhone.

I would point out that I did say...
Of course the Contacts List has to have people listed in it.
The Error seems to be that you have not even got an My Card.
The OS when the computer is brand new and you set up the first Admin Account should create at least once Card entry for the Address Book/Contacts which has the Head and Shoulders icon (the My Card)
The does presume the the first account on the Mac doers have a person's First name and Last name to work with.
Of course not everyone sets things up this way.
Anyhow
To Check the Contacts List open the app.
Go to the Preferences.
Go to the Accounts section.
This should list at least two "accounts
One is for Syncing with iCloud and the other is for storing the Info on the Mac itself
In System Preferences > iCloud you can only set up one Apple ID to be the iCloud ID.
If you do or have changed this you may have extra accounts in the Contacts > Preferences > Accounts

I just purchased a new computer and downloaded I tunes but when I go to sync my iphone and ipad touch my library from my old computer doesn't show up on the new one. Only the purchased itune songs come up. How do I get my original itunes library?
Have you copied your content over from your old computer and onto the new on ? If not, and you still have your old computer, then there a number of methods described on this page which you can use to copy your library over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . If you no longer have your old computer then have you got a backup of your content that you can copy onto the new computer and add into iTunes ?
