TS3999 My iphone stopped syncing with both icloud and outlook.  what is the fix?

I can not sync the cloud or outlook with my iphone.  What can I do to fix it?

There's no interaction between Sync and Xmarks, other than them both reading from and writing to the same data sources. I'm afraid I have no idea why Xmarks might have stopped working.
Sync isn't hooked into Firefox's data sources until it's set up; if you see "Set up Sync" in your menu instead of "Sync Now", you can safely ignore it.

  • Why won't my iMac (Snow Leopard) iCal sync with both iCloud and iPhone?

No matter how many times I enter all the correct info neither iCloud or iPhone will pick up my entries on my iMac.
Also, there is no iCloud ikon in my preferences for waht that's worth.

Once you enable iCloud, your iPhone will no longer sync properly (or at all) with iCal UNLESS you upgrade to OSX Lion. I tried various techniques yesterday for about an hour to see if I could get all three on the same page, but I could never get it to work. Items would appear in one or two place, but never all three. iCal won't sync at all to iCloud without Lion. This is not a secret: Apple states in its promotional materials that you need Lion to use iCloud on your Mac.
I posted this to another similar question last night, but it needs to be repeated:
This is the kind of thing that I hate, hate, hate about Apple.
Why is it that if I bought a Mac before July of this year, I must pay to upgrade my operating system in order to take advantage of iCloud? Meanwhile, a Windows Vista SP2 user, who bought a new computer in May 2009, already has everything they need on their computer to use iCloud.
Why was it possible for Apple to write a free iCloud Control Panel that was compatible with existing versions of Windows, but Mac users must buy an entirely new operating system?
It's not the price that bothers me – I've already paid for it. But Lion was such a buggy mess and the interface "improvements" so useless that I "downgraded" back to SL. Now I find that I must choose between a terrible operating system and the features in iCloud.
If Apple gave Mac users the same amount of backwards compatibility that it gives to Windows users, people with OSX 10.5 (Leopard) would be able to use iCloud. That's something to think about the next time you go to purchase a new computer.
(P.S. Something else to think about: If you bought a Mac before October 2007 (when OSX 10.5 was introduced), your computer won't run iTunes 10.5 unless you buy an upgrade. But a PC user, who purchased their computer as long ago as Sept. 2004(!), can run iTunes without an OS upgrade.)

  • IPhone stopped syncing with iPad , any help?

My iPhone has stopped syncing with my iPad , makes it very had to use both. Was syncing just fine after last update stopped.

    Hanuk,
Are you only syncing music or are you syncing other information like contacts and calendars? If you are syncing contacts and calendars, you may want to try resetting sync history first. To reset your sync history, open iSync. Choose iSync > Preferences, and then click the Reset Sync History button.
    Hope this helps,
    Jennifer B.

  • Iphone stops syncing with itunes

    Hi there.
I recently upgraded to a new Macbook Pro (late 2010, no thunderbolt) and transferred the info from my old MBP to this one using the migration assistant which copied applications and data.
Now the only way I can get my iphone to sync with itunes is to delete itunes and reinstall it and after a day this stops working so I have to repeat the process. Its almost as if the computer is deleting the Applemobiledevice.pkg and reinstalling itunes reinstalls it.
The computer sees the phone when connected to iphoto and it appears in the system profiler.
    Any ideas?
I don't know if its relevant but I noticed yesterday that the Canon EOS software doesn't automatically load either when the camer is connected - like it used to.
    Many thanks.
    Michael

Yup! I have exactly the same problem but with iPhone 5 + iOS 7.0.4 + iTunes 11.1.4. I used to create a playlist of podcasts to listen to via the Music app in the car along with music playlists. I can still create the podcast playlist in iTunes and listen to them in iTunes but the playlist does not appear in Music in the phone. In Podcasts they are there although I also get the screenshots above but only on a random selection. There is no playlist facility in Podcasts so I have to pull the car over to move onto the next podcast. In other words the most useful facility for me (catching upon podcasts) in the car is no longer available. Congratulations Apple! I've heard there are 3rd party apps available but haven't found one yet.
Another backward step is the cackhanded procedure one now has to go through when syncing the phone with iTunes. Setting up a podcast playlist is dead simple. Now it is anything but simple. I can only presume that the guys who have worked on this change have never seriosly used an iPhone on the move.

  • TS3999 my iphone doesnt sync with outlook dest top

my iphone does not sync with outlook via icloud

I'm having the same problem.  Exept, I ended up wiping out my entire iTunes Library trying to fix it.  THE WHOLE THING.  And, I have no idea where to get it ...to put it back.  I have a terrible, terrible feeling that I am S.O.L. and that I've just lost a whole lot of money....and a whole lot of songs, movies and books.  Best of luck to you.  (and me, too.  ugh, i could cry!)

  • My Outlook 2007 Calendar stopped syncing with my iCloud Calendar

My iCloud Calendar no longer syncs with my Outlook 2007 Calendar.  When someone sends me a mobileme invite it shows up in my Outlook but not my iCloud.  When I click refresh iCloud, it doesn't.  What do I do?

I upgraded to 8.1.1 and thought this might have solved a problem, but the syncing between outlook.com and the IOS device is not robust, and can be broken pretty easily.
Here is a repeatable problem that causes the syncing to stop if there are 2 outlook.com calendars being synced with an IOS device:
    1) Reconfigure Outlook.com Account on IOS device.  This downloads all existing outlook.com calendar entries and starts clean.
    2)  Create "appointment 1" in "calendar 1" on outlook.com (This will sync with Ipad without a problem)
    3)  Create "appointment 2" in "calendar 2" on Ipad (This will sync with outlook.com without a problem)
    4)  Edit "appointment 1" on Ipad to switch it from "calendar 1" to "calendar 2".
The appointment will NOT switch on outlook.com, and all syncing between outlook.com and the IOS calendar appears to stop after this.  There may be other edits/changes that would cause this problem, or perhaps the syncing would just stop on its own anyway.
This is a pretty desirable workflow/process.  (i.e. Person 1/Calendar 1 switches responsibility for an appointment to Person2/Calendar2.... or... Person 1/Calendar 1 makes an appointment on the IPAD, and then later wants to modify it when they are at their PC.

  • Syncing with both MAC and Windows PC

Is there an easy way to sync the IPhone with both a MAC and a PC. I got my business contacts in my office PC and all my music, videos, in my personal MAC? At first I got a problem trying to sync with my PC (Windows XP) and I decided to transfer all the info to the MAC (Tiger), but it is a little inconvenient since I got to update a lot of info every day in the MAC to sync with IPhone and have all my business contacts and calendar updated.
    Any help?

This is too bad. i thought I had it working. i got my iphone, and synced it with all of the fun stuff on my Mac (photos, podcasts, audiobooks, video), and of course left the contact and calendar section alone when it was connected to the Mac. Then, when I went over to my work laptop (need my 900 contacts and updated calendar all the time), I unchecked everything but the relevant contacts, and Outlook calendars, and it synced fine!!! But...then I just went back to my Mac tonight to update some things, and although the Mac will recognize the iPhone through iPhoto to try to sync the camera pictures, it wil NOT show up under devices in iTunes now (on the Mac). This *****. Anybody have any luck?? I know there has got to be a huge amount of us out there, that need to merge the business and personal content we want/need on this device. I cant go dumping all of my massive amounts of media on my company owned laptop!!!!????

Then anything you had on the phone is gone.
    Settings>General>Resets>Erase All Content and Settings.
Set it up as a new device again.

  • Will an unlocked iPhone 4S work with both CDMA and GSM SIM cards?

I was using the iPhone 4S with a GSM sim card all these years here in India and would like to switch to a CDMA carrier.
Does the phone work with both SIM cards? Or is there a separate model which works with CDMA?
    Appreciate all replies.
    Thank You!

    Hey varun0809,
It sounds like you have a question about the specifications of your specific model of iPhone 4s. Here is an article for you that should be able to help you answer these questions:

  • My ipod nano has stopped syncing with my computer and now has nothing on it.

My ipod nano will not sync with my computer. I used the restore store settings and now there is nothing on it. Help please.

Is this the computer you originally set the Nano up on or sync it with?  Are you sure your iPod isn't set up for Manually manage.  In others, the manually manage music option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?

  • Sync with Vista Business and Outlook 2007

My old systems we running XP and Outlook 03 but I have recently upgraded to Vista Business and Outlook 2007. Since upgrading I have not be able to get either my contacts or calendar to sync. I have tried everything that I have come across in this forum and elsewhere but so far nothing has worked. I have the latest version of both iTunes and iPhone software. At this point it will not sync in either direction. Even though it says it is syncing it only takes about 10 seconds and nothing actually syncs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If possible create a new user
Once in the new user, Launch iTunes and Set it up
    Close out of iTunes
Launch Outlook set it up without Email support so Outlook 2007 will be open
Once this is done Add at least 1 contact and 1 Calender Event to Outlook 2007
Once this is done assuming your iPhone has contact and Cal information on it, Go ahead and go into ITunes and Set the Info Tab to Sync to Outlook for Contacts and Cals, And report what happens.
If this works. Then there is an issue with the Data in Outlook on other account.

  • How to sync contacts between iCloud and Outlook without iCloud moving the contacts

    Hi,
When synching Contacts between Outlook and iCloud, iCloud moves away the Outlook contacts from the default directory, to a newly created data file.
This issue already existed with MobileMe Calendar, and now seems to have been "adopted" for the Contacts as well in iCloud.
This causes me many issues, including synching the same data with other devices and other PC's.
    Any work around?

Apples iCloud is not working with Outlook as it is making new folders isolated from the standard folder *.pst.
I have tested intensely and moved back to Google Sync (calendar) and iTunes (contacts, notes) as they sync properly with the standard folders in Outlook. Reminders sync still missing. Shame on Apple for delivering such a nonsens to us.

  • ICloud and Outlook Mail on the iPhone 4

I just downloaded iCloud and my Outlook Mail does not synch up.  I do not use a "me.com" address, I use a "verizon.net" email address.  Right now I have to delete on both the iPhone as well as the Outlook inbox on my PC.  In other words, if I delete on the phone, it does not delete in my inbox and vice versa.  Is causing me much time to open and delete e-mails twice.   Must I have a "me.com" email address?  I use Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010.
    Thanks.

    Must I have a "me.com" email address ?
    Yes.

  • Syncing with MSN account and Outlook

I am new to having a Blackberry and could use some help.  I have an MSN email address which is linked to my Blackberry.  Emails come directly to my Blackberry and also my MSN email which I access thru Outlook.  When i go thru my emails on Outlook and delete them and then sync by Blackberry the syncing process is not removing the emails i have deleted off my desktop.  It is making me delete on my desktop and then delete the same emails off my Blackberry.  There must be a way i can do this once and have the sync process take care of it.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Matt

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Technically, your BB is reconciling (via BIS) to the MSN server. Likewise, your Outlook client is reconciling to the MSN server. The BB and Outlook do not typically reconcile to each other. With BB's integrated to email services via BIS, there are various reconciliation features that are available...see this KB:
KB05133 Email reconciliation features for the BlackBerry Internet Service
As you can see, wireless reconciliation of deleted items from the server to the BB is not supported. So, it is working as designed.
Sorry that doesn't give you what you desire, but hopefully it at least explains how it is supposed to work. What you could do is, inside of your BB config, set it to retain messages on the BB for some duration of time (something other than "forever")...then, they would auto-delete from the BB.
    Cheers!

  • My notes on my iPad and iPhone stopped syncing with iCloud; now they are all gone, can I restore them?

I have iCloud set up to sync both my iPhone and iPad. Today, my notes were not synching at all, in the past they have perfectly, so I flipped the Notes switch under iCloud settings off and back on to 'refresh' it, now all of my notes are gone. Is there a way to restore them?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
