TS3999 New events disappear

If I put a new event into my iPhone or iPad calendar, it disappears in a few seconds.
Please help- I can't figure out what to do.

Ok! It seems to only happen for newly entered events that are backdated to more than 30 days ago.
For example- inputting a new event in the future or within the last 30 days ... Everything's fine.
Inputting an event more than 30 days ago ... Disappears.
Still don't know how to fix it, though...

- iPhone IOS 7.0.4,
- MS Exchange 2008 (using ActiveSync to see outlook mail by iPhone).
[Problem]
Creating new event on Outlook, the event is reflected iPhone calendar correctly.
Creating new event on iPhone calendar, the event is reflected to Outlook, but the event disappear on iPhone calendar.
In the case of 1, it is correct action.
But in the case of 2, it is very strange action.
Does someone experience similar problem?

On the iMac open System Prerferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Calendars then reselect then restart the iMac.
On the iPad, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Hopefully the event synced over all the devices.

Tried resetting, tried off and back on, still no events for this month or months past. Any other ideas out there?

I use my calendar all the time, so I know how important this data is! Let's do some troubleshooting. Since you mentioned that it's set up to sync with your Google calendar, I went to my references to research, and found some troubleshooting steps for you. Please review the information below.
• do you see the name of the calendar in the list on the left-hand side (LHS) of your screen?
• if so, does it have a coloured square beside it?
• if it doesn't, try clicking on the name of the calendar. Do your events now show up on your calendar?
• if you don't see the name of the calendar on the LHS, please click on the 'cog' and go in to Settings | Calendars.
• do you see the name of the calendar there? If so, please make sure there is a 'check mark / tick' in the 'Show in list' column. When you go back to your calendar, do you now see your calendar in the list, and events in the calendar?

When I make a new Calendar event the phone loads, and then the event disappears! How can I fix this?

On my iPhone 4 8GB unlocked (iOS 6), whenever I try to make a new event in Apples Calendar app, when I am done making the event, the phone shows a small loading circle in the top bar and when that loading circle stops the event disappears. I checked my iCloud Calendar in case it stored it there or something but no that was empty. And making an event in the iCloud Calendar app does not make it sync the event to my iPhone 4 either so I basically cannot make any events at the moment. Help!
EDIT:
I just went into the iCloud settings and saw that the Calendar iCloud sync was turned on. So I turned it off, waited, turned it back on again and now I see the events again, and I can make them without them dissapearing immediately. Stupid bug.

Why do new event items disappear from calendar after a few seconds

Suddenly,new event items disappear from calendar a few seconds (7-30) after creation. This has never been a problem before, and I have used iCal for years. All my old events remain but as of today, when I try to add an event, it stays on the screen for a few seconds, then disappears. I tried entering the events on my iPhone and then syncing, but they went away on my phone as well. Does anyone have an idea of what's happening? Is my iCal out of memory?

I had success with this method:
1) make a backup of iCal's database (-> file menu)
2) revert to that same backup ( " " )

Iphone 4s calendar events disappeared and I cannot add new events

I have an iphone 4s with ios 7. Suddenly all events I added on my calendar disappeared and I cannot add new events. The plus sign+ is there but it is light grey and will not activate. I do not sync it with any other calendar

What account were you using to sync your Calendar? Make sure that account is added to the device, and make sure that Calendars is turned on for that account.
Then, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and make sure that under the Calendar section that 'Sync' is set to 'All Events'.
Then go to the Calendar app, go to Calendars, and make sure that you have that account enabled.
Then, close out all the running apps on your device, and restart it.
Open up your Calendar app. Are your entries back?

Movie disappeared after crash, now can't create New Event

Final stages of creating movie (of course!) and iMovie crashes. When restart, project is missing. Online, found suggestion to delete CurrentVersion.imovieevent and other CurrentVersion. files, which I did. I also moved the project files (inside Movies->iMovie Library (show package contents) to a safe distance. The online suggestion-- which had worked for me before-- recommended this, then: open iMovie, create New Project, quit. Move all the imovie project files into the new iMovie Library folder with the new project name, then re-open iMovie. Project should be there. And it was, last time. But for some reason, now iMovie won't let me create a New Event or a New Project, so this doesn't work.
What is interesting is I completely removed all projects/events from the Movie folder to a different drive, but when I now open iMovie, all of my old movies/projects show up except the one I'm looking for. Where is it finding them? It should open up as new. How do I fix this?
So far, have deleted and re-downloaded and re-installed iMovie 10.0.4 on MacBook Air running OS X 10.9.4 and removed all files from the Movie folder. Opening iMovie shows all my projects for the last several years. I have not deleted anything (only moved items), but the trash has all the CurrentVersion. files still in them. Interestingly, there are no "iMovie Projects" or "iMovie Events" folders anywhere-- all the folders/files seem to be stored in the iMovie Library; to access them I have to Show Package Contents

Can you right-click on a folder name in the Lightroom Folder Panel and select "Show Parent Folder"?
Can you import new photos directly to the desired folder in the desired location?

Icalendar: event times disappearing when I first enter in a new event

Every time I add a new event to ical, the time I type in does not appear on the ical itself. I can enter it in a second time and then it appears, but would like to not have to enter every event twice. I am using a 2012 MacBook Pro.

You can not add events to the birthday's calendar. To add birthday's to the birthday calendar you need to add the birthday to a contact in the Contacts app.
You can set your default calendar here:
iCal > Preferences > General > Default Calendar and chose the calendar you want to default to.

TS3999 Calendar - cannot add new event

After last iOS update I can no longer add new events to my calendar. I also cannot turn on my location services.

When I try entering a new event in iCal on my MacBook Air, I get an error message popping up on my screen that says: The request for account "iCloud" failed. The server responded with "502" to operation CalDAVSetPropertyQueueableOperation. Help!!??

Some iCal events disappear when in week view

Hello all,
I recently had a double agenda booking. Today I found out why:
In week view some iCal events disappear... When i switch to month view, they reappear.
So, depending on the view i have open time slots. Not very reliable.
Anyone know what i can do to return to solid bookings again?

Same problem here. I just imported everything from my old MacBook to my new one using Time Machine. My events appear in the Month view but not in the Week or Day views. So I went back to my old MacBook, created an iCal backup file, and emailed it to myself. Opened it on the new machine, restored from the backup file, and . . . same thing!

Calendar disappeared! Last week I updated to IOS7. Today as the clocks ticked over in Australia to 2014 my contacts and calendar events disappeared. Help!

Please help. With the beginning of 2014, my calendar events disappeared. I turned the iPad off, the. On again and repeat events reappeared, but all once off events/ appointments are gone! Everything was there before midnight, but I discovered around 2am, 1.1.14 that everything was gone. Bug? Help! Please.

Are your contacts stored in an MS Exchange server, in iCloud, or some other source? Setting the Sync to less than All Events should not delete events, but only stop showing them on your device. However, Outlook also has a setting to actually delete events older than a certain date. Have you checked that?
If you log in to iCloud.com (and you are syncing with iCloud) what do you see? Whatever is there is all you can get on the iPhone, unless you can restore from another source.
I also suggest enabling iCloud Backup (settings/icloud - Storage and Backup). This will create a new backup any time your phone is connected to power and WiFi, so you will always have a current backup, painlessly.

Several settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars affect Calendar and your calendar accounts. These include:
Syncing of past events (future events are always synced)
Alert tone played for new meeting invitations
Default calendar for new events
Default time for alerts
Calendar time zone support, to show dates and times using a different time zone
Which day starts the week

StoreEvents always creating new event?

Hey all,
Our university recently upgraded to the newest version of the calendar server and so I've been going back to some old code I wrote that should now function correctly. However, I'm having an issue. The part of my program I'm currently dealing with fetches all the unconfirmed appointments from a user's oracle calendar and then asks the user if they would like to accept/decline/ignore those events. It then writes the events back to the server accordingly. However, despite my best efforts, a new appointment is always created rather than the old one being updated to reflect the new participation status.
Here is an example of an event received from the server:

The only thing that I see that could be different is that when I fetch the event from the server, there are some strange line breaks in the attendee property which somehow magically disappear in my processing of the string (my function only swaps the NEEDS-ACTION with ACCEPTED so I don't know how those other line breaks go away). But the fact that a new event is created and all the properties are set correctly, I have my doubts as to this being the cause.
Also, I have tried both the CAPI_FLAG_STORE_MODPROPS and CSDK_FLAG_STORE_MODIFY flags but neither seem to change what happens.
Anyone see any obvious mistakes that I'm making?

Glad to be of help! I wouldn't have known either except for a forum thread a few pages back titled "jni source code available" (or something like that) where one of the replies stated that the CSDK and CAPI handled the UIDs differently. Then I compiled the C example and noticed the UIDs looked very different from the ones I was getting from the Java SDK. Then I used your original post to help figure out what I needed to send back to the server (other than the UID) to get my code to work... so we kind of helped each other! Thanks!

HELP! Deadline! Tempo events disappear!

I created three tempo events to sync to picture. I continue working on the tracks and at some point they all disappear! I never hit delete or anything. It happens every time. I kept the tempo list up and visible for a while to see when it was happening, everything seems fine, but eventually, when I'm lulled into a false sense of security, I'll be danged if they don't disappear again and I'm left with only one starting tempo event.
What the heck??

I am trying to import just onto my iMac, They are being stored in the normal location (user home folder > Movies > Final Cut Events) I am importing them directly from my cameras. I thought it might be a problem with my cameras, the format, or the importing. So I tried the same process on my MacBook Air, importing to the same location on siad MacBook Air (user home folder > Movies > Final Cut Events). The MacBook Air works perfectly, but the iMac just keeps loosing the events after quiting.
I will see all the events in the Final Cut Events folder, but Final Cut will only show me an event named (New Event 11-28-11) and each time I open and quit the "New Event 11-28-11" keeps growing from "New Event 11-28-11 1" to "New Event 11-28-11 2" and so on. So Final Cut keeps making a new event almost like it is the first time I have opened it.
