TS4000 calendar function disappeared in reminders app in ios7

In IOS7 the Reminders App lost its calendar function, it has become extremely difficult to go to the end of my 200 reminders list. Also to enter a new reminder you have to scroll to the end of the (200 items) reminders list first. In IOS6 there was a very easy calender function to navigate through your reminders much easier. Can we get back this calender function in a new update of the Reminders app? Or can someone show me a non-apple Reminders App that has this calender function that makes navigation through your Reminders easy?
Tnanks!

  • Reminders app in iOS7 (Notes section in Reminders)

    Hi
Some of my Reminders have a lot information in the notes section of each reminder.
When I have gone into Reminders and then into the notes section of a reminder I can modify the text, add more in or delete words or lines. No Problem.
If hit 'return' to create a new line, a new line is inserted however no matter where the new line has been entered the screen automatically scrolls down to the bottom of the section, so the new line has now dissapeared up the screen and cant be seen. If I type, the text is put in but I cant see what I am doing as the text being entered is out of sight.
If I scroll back up the screen to the new line, the keyboard dissapears, I tap on the new line to get the keyboard back and the screen scrolls back down to the bottom.
Very frustraiting and it makes the Reminders app un-usable for me.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks
    Geozyg

    Hello Geozyg,
It sounds like you are experiencing some unexpected behaviour from the Reminders app. I recommend startign by closing all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the app again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

  • IOS7 Reminders app keeps changing color

With the updated version of the Reminders app in iOS7, users now have the ability to set a color scheme for each list they have created.  However, the color of my default list keeps changing back to orange every time I either add a new task or mark a task as completed.  Regardless of how often I manually change the color option back to any other color (I'd prefer red for my default list), that particular list always reverts back to orange anytime the list is modified.  Although its not huge issue, its becoming increasingly frustrating that I cannot set the color of the Reminders list that I use all of the time.
Anyone else experiencing this issue and are there any solutions?
    Thanks!

    Hello SofaKeenGrad,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the Reminders app will not keep the color you select for some reason.
I have a few recommendations for you here:
First I would start by closing all the running apps on the phone:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
From: iOS: Force an app to close
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
When you have done that, next I would restart your iPhone.
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists after that, I would try backing up your phone to iTunes, then restore your phone.
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Before you restore your phone from your backup, try setting it up as new, and verify the Reminders app works as expected. Then restore from your backup, and test the issue again.
    All the best,
    Sterling

I have downloaded IOS7 on my iPhone and all calendar events have disappeared. The general functions of the calendar have changed and are definitely not 'user friendly'. How can I retrieve my calendar events. Will Apple improve the calendar function or revert to the previous system. Even the typing function on IOS 7 is faulty - very slow to respond to the keyboard. I no longer enjoy using my iPhone. Can anyone assist. Thank you

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however,  is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has  become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

  • Can you add a task or reminder to calendar from reminders app?

i am trying to add a task from the reminders app on my iphone to the calendar app.  i haven't figured out how to do this so far.  is it possible?

    No
This just explains how to use reminders, which I already understand how to do.
What I want is the abililty to add a link to a contact or a phone number, so that I can get it to remind me to call someone at a given time.
But without the overhead of duplicating their contact details

  • Reminders app - lacking important functionality

Dear Apple (if you're listening). The Reminders app for OSX and for iOS is nice and fast and seems to sync well. I've been using Wunderlist for my to-do lists, but don't need a lot of the functionality and it sometimes has syncing problems. I'd like to replace it with "Reminders". But ...
How is is possible that there's no way to move items between lists?! How could this essential feature possibly be left out? No drag/drop or other way to move items. You can to actually delete it and add it again to another list ... come on!
Other things that should be added:
    - sub items/tasks
    - notes shown after clicking on item, not directly below the item title ... as adding long notes will disrupt an otherwise clean list
    - ability to chose type of alert for a reminder ... like playing a sound!
You'd think will all that money that Apple's making they would put a little more effort into these apps.

To answer my own question: the sorting functionality is disabled (probably by design) in the "Today" list (not in the normal lists)...

No, individual apps cannot be restored.

  • Reminders.app: caldav calendars not showing

    Hi,
I set up a caldav calender server and use reminders with this server. Everthing gets synced for my persoanl calendars, but there are also other calendars on the server that I can see in ical and on the iphone (reminders and claendar), but I cannot see them in the reminders.app on the mac. Maybe I deleted them from reminders on the mac by hand. Is there a way to reset this? I did not find a plist anywhere.
    Thanks!

Oh? May I ask what it was and perhaps how it was fixed?
I am running into the same problem.
    Thanks!

  • Will the reminders app ever have a snooze function or maybe implement badges to remind that a reminder hasn't been completed?

We don't know what Apple's future plans are until they announce them.

Can the ipad reminders app import tasks from the calendar app so I can enter items once?

Depends on an account. The Tasks in Exchange will populate Reminders, and you can use Reminders in iCloud, but natively entering something in Calendar does not reflect in Reminders.

  • Reminders app alert time keeps disappearing on iPhone 4s

I use my phone's Reminders app frequently and have started having problems with the "Remind me on a day" option.  Today I noticed that whenever I set a time and date for a reminder alert, it disappears after a few moments, leaving just the text I entered but no alert time (ie, a reminder to start dinner at 5:00pm on Tuesday will show up properly on the reminders home screen for a few seconds, and then the alert time will disappear, leaving just "Start Dinner"). Since the alert times keep disappearing, none of my reminders actually work at the moment.  I also have weekly reminders that I've used for over a year but starting today they now show up as "(null), weekly" underneath the original reminder text.
I exited the app, restarted my phone and then did a hard reset, but nothing has changed the way the app is behaving.  Creating a reminder through Siri just gives me the same problem.  I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with my phone so I'm not sure why it's not working properly.  Thanks for any help you can give!

What part are you talking about setting up? The 2-step verification I mentioned for that email or the reminder list? The 2-step verification you need to set up before anything. It's just another way of protecting yourself from idiots. You'd get a code from your phone that helps you sign in on PC. But this stupid "Reminder" stuff is killing me. I had to do a total wipe of my phone and make it like a brand new phone again with nothing on it. And even after all that when I went to test a new reminder I'd put in...it did the same thing just shut itself off. Didn't say "null" tho just kept shutting itself off. I even made a new list not tied to my yahoo...did the same thing. So after all that I just went back in and restored my phone to the way I originally had it. I figured it wasn't anything on my phone and it had to be something with Apple itself and I wasn't going to spend hours just trying to remember what I had on here so that's why I just restored to the backup I had prior all this. I did call the guy I'm working with over at Apple and left a message that it didn't work again and I put phone back the way I had it. But I'm gonna try all this up on my PC to see if this works. Ugh this is just taking up my time and I've not yet heard back from the yahoo customer service guy I sent the pics too showing him these issues...typical. I just feel that with so many having this issue that they need to report it to Apple so they can fix it or at least look into it. They won't do much just because I say there's so many others. I think I'm gonna try to copy that list from my yahoo and sync it with iCloud and see if that works and if it does then it was yahoo all along. Besides when I make that list with iCloud it won't be lost or anything ya know. Just seems like I'm having too many problems with yahoo stuff. I do have a gmail but don't use it like yahoo because they spy on you and share things etc. but outlook is synced to Apple so might be worth a shot to start using them. I do t know anymore I'm at a lost

  • TS4000 I have the 4s Iphone, the ability to add invitees to an event in my calendar has disappeared.  I don't have the option and used all the time.  How do I get that back?

I have the 4s Iphone, the ability to add invitees to an event in my calendar has disappeared.  How do I get it back?  Why and when did it disppear?  Did an update take it away?

you don't need to use iTunes to restore your old phone to factory settings.
Just go into settings on your old iPhone and reset .. it will take it back to factory set-up with the cable showing on the front of the screen.  All your content will be permanently erased from the old iPhone.

  • Reminders App does not work on Yosemite with two iCloud accounts.

The Reminders App does not work on Yosemite (10.10.1) with two iCloud accounts. It seems like when there are two iCloud accounts connected in Yosemite (10.10.1) the plist file for Reminders disappears.
I have tried restarting Reminders; restarting the mac; starting the mac in recovery mode to repair the disk and disk permissions; and starting the mac in recovery mode and reinstalling OSX.

Yes sharing Reminders list works. The problem is, I have one shared iCloud account with a colleague (shared calendar, Reminders and email). It makes it easier to run our business with a single shared iCloud account...I know it's not the typical usage.

  • What's a good replacement for the reminders app?

Hello everyone, thanks for your input.
I've been on the phone with Apple support about this for some time and it seems that this was a core change made in Yosemite and since I "upgraded" to icloud drive, I can't just back to Mavericks and still having things sync via icloud.
The reminders app no longer supports grouping of completed tasks by the day they were completed, and instead just shows a big list of every reminder ever completed in that list. I have to note what proofs and designs  I make on a time sheet at the end of each pay period and to do that I need to know what task was completed what day. Reminders was a very slick way to keep track of both the things that still need doing as well as see what was completed when. Now that I've installed Yosemite the only way to see completed reminders organized by day is to log into the icloud web interface on an OSX or windows computer and I'm concerned that that's not going to be an option for much longer since iOS 8 and Yosemite have both removed it.   It's a small change but its absolutely core to what I do. It's one of those little workflow things that seems inconsequential but has the potential to accumulate and just totally screw up your my Sundays and delay my pay checks if not done right.  All the solutions I'm coming up with, from tally them in an excel sheet to noting them in the calendar app instead of reminders, to just writing them down on postits are all kind of a clumsy, error-prone steps backward to the point that rolling back to Mavericks is looking like the best option (a painful option but at least it's just a 1-time pain)
Before I start the mess of going in and rolling back to Mavericks and all that that entails I just wanted to see what other options are out there? Surely there's a 3'rd party app that does what reminders used to do.
Ideally I just want it to do 3 things
         1. let me add simple reminders from OSX, ipad or iphone
         2. sync them to all the devices.
         3. let me organize the completed reminders by what day they were completed.
    Thanks!

    Wunderlist
I would love to see reminders with better snchronization features... Not just between ios and OSX but also between ical-google cal etc...
A good alternative right now is Wunderlist from the Mac app store.
Pretty much does the same thing..
It has Notification and widget snchronization with Yosemite.
It also syncs between Ical Google Calendar, android and ios....
Reminders needs a lot of work in my opinion.
Wunderlist does what Reminders should be doing.
    It definitely addresses 1, 2
3 is also done... You will have to check it out to see if it does it the way you want....
If its for bussiness I would suggest you use the pro paid version for added functionality.
Free version is however great also.
