how to turn on location reminder on ios6?

Easy to turn off the Wifi, but a bit more complicated to turn it back on. Here are the screenshots for AirPort Utility 6.1:
To completely turn off the wireless radio signal on the AirPort Extreme......
Open AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPort Extreme icon
Click Edit
Click the Wireless tab at the top of the window
Change the setting for Network Mode to Off
Click Update to save the settings and the AirPort Extreme will restart in about 30 seconds
To turn the wireless function back on, perform the same steps above to reach the Wireless tab
Change the Network Mode to Create a wireless network
Type in the name of your Wireless Network
Set Wireless Security to WPA2 Personal
Enter your wireless password and confirm
Cllick Update to save the settings and the AirPort Extreme will restart in about 30 seconds
If this seem too complicated, there is another possibly simpler option, mentioned previously by alanoconnor, but it will be a setting to either allow wireless devices to connect to your network, or not connect.
This option will not turn off the wireless radio on your AirPort Extreme, the wireless radio will remain on at all times, something that you may not want.

  • How to use the location reminder

When I first accessed the new reminders app I clicked 'do not use my location'. However, I want to use the location reminder, but I can not find it in my settings to change my preferences. Anyone know how to turn the location on? Does it even work on 3GS?

This worked for me as well.  Thanks!
    shafir,
I had the same problem. By trial and error I turned off the reminders coming from my work-place microsoft exchange server account in "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". Left mail, and calendar, contacts etc on but turned off reminders. The only reminders in "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" that I left on is in iCloud.
The reminder app then appeared in the "location services" list and can be turned on.

  • How to turn off Yosemite reminder?

I recently upgraded to Mavericks and I have no desire to move up to Yosemite at this point. Is there any way to defeat the automatic Yosemite upgrade reminder that wastes valuable real estate on my display? (It sure would be nice to have a "Later" button.)

Unfortunately neither of the files it suggests to delete actually exist in those folders.
    Instead of com.apple.noticeboard.plist there is a com.apple.noticeboard.agent.plist
In the other folder they are all pretty much .lproj folder  - there is nothing at all resembling noticeboard.app

  • How do I turn off location services for Facebook in ios6

  • Using ios 5.0.1 in an iPhone 4. Can't get the gps to turn off in the Reminder app even though I do not have a location reminder set. Battery life suffers because of it. What can I do other than keep the app turned off all the time in settings?

Installed ios 5 and created a location reminder to see how it worked. The gps icon came on and I expected it would because how else would the phone know where I'm at.
After I was reminded and marked it as complete I also deleted the reminder from the app. The gps never went off and the only way I can get it to turn off is by switching the app off in the location settings.
Installed ios 5.0.1 and the same thing. I turned on the app in the location settings to see what would happen and I was again reminded by location to the same reminder. It said in the alert that the reminded was 28 days old. Like I said I deleted the reminder from the app. Somehow it's still in the apps memory and I have no idea how to get rid of it for good.
    Thank you,
    Marilyn

  • How to clear the location history in reminder?

heyy guys. serious talk here. please please and please help me to figure this out. how to clear the location that had i been used in reminder? i've search from day to day. but there aren't answer yet. grr

delete single message or delete entire thread?
Single message: open messages, then open the thread, then press and hold on the message that you want to delete.
Entire thread: Open messages, then press and hold on the thread you want to delete.
When you go through text message and you click on button to bring up Roller Top Chain contacts, there is couple choices (groups, contacts, favorites & logs) you can choose. Under logs, how to you delete the information in logs section????? It appears to only go back a few days, but can't find option to erase logs. If you check box it just adds that person to your send to Sushi Chains. I also tried deleting history for phone calls, but its still there. Any help would be great!!!

  • Will an iPhone automatically turn off location services.  If it goes below a certain battery power level, and so how you disable this in settings.

I am working with Georgia DOT and we have created an app to track our state vehicles using IPhone 5. My question is: will an iPhone automatically turn off location services?  If it goes below a certain battery power level, and if so how do you disable this in settings.

I don't believe that this will happen, however, the entire iPhone will shut down when the iPhone reaches the auto-shutdown power level. There is no way to turn that Off other that connecting the iPhone to power.

  • HT5594 After updating to iOS7 on my iPhone4 I cannot enable location services. How do I enable location services? I have tried turning off restrictions but that did not work.

After updating to iOS7 on my iPhone 4 I cannot enable location services. How do I enable location services? I have tried turning off restrictions but that did not work.

I finally just resolved this after not being able to enable location services since upagrading to iOS 7. Posting the solution here 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I enabled Restrictions under Settings > General > Restrictions and created a passcode (I'm not sure if this was part of the solution, but it wasn't enabled for me by default.)
In Restrictions, under Privacy, Location Services was set to "Allow Changes" (This still didn't solve the issue of the greyed-out Location Services switch though - I still couldn't turn it on.)
Also in Restrictions, I also switched "Find My Friends" to "Allow Changes"
Once I did step 3, the switch under Settings > Privacy > Location Services was no longer greyed out and could be switched on.
    Hope this helps!

How do I turn off location services on the iPhone 6?
Yes I already went to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, is not allowing me to turn it off.
And yes I have disable the restrictions too.

When I tapped the screen, there was a symbol on the left that looked like arrows going in a circle and on the right were the arrows crossed. The crossed arrows were orange, when I tapped this orange symbol, it turned to white and the songs STOPPED shuffle.

  • HT4759 How can I turn my location on on my iphone5 as it has been stolen?

How can I turn my location on on my iphone5 as it has been stolen?

If you set up iCloud and turned on Find My iPhone before it was stolen, you may be able to track it on icloud.com from a computer (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442).  It must be turned on, have a connection to the internet, and still have your iCloud settings enabled to do so.
If you didn't do this before it was stolen, there is no way to track it.

  • How do you turn on location services for the Photos app?

I reset my location services and I need to reactivate the location services for those apps I want to use this function.  I have turned on location services for all other apps, including CAMERA, but I cannot figure out how to turn it back on for PHOTOS (Camera Roll).  This option did appear when I did the new iPhone5 setup, but I cannot get it back.  And PHOTOS is not listed in the apps shown under the Location Services setting page.  I set my wife's phone up too and the PHOTOS app is showing on her phones Location Services setting page.  Help please.

    Hi There
I had the same problem and actually I found out that in Location Services you need to Turn On the option for CAMERA, as there is no photos icon.
    Cheers

  • How can I turn off Location-aware browsing?

Got notice of upgrade. Downloaded 3.6.15 and installed. On your page describing new features, you prominently mention "Location-aware browsing," as well as the fact that I can turn this spyware off, but after looking through all the "Tools" area, I cannot find a way to turn it off. I am absolutely disgusted that Mozilla has been allowing people to spy on me all these many years I have been using your browsers clear back to Netscape. How can you get away with this without asking my permission? '''NOW TELL ME HOW TO TURN OFF THIS INSIDIOUS PIECE OF *!'''
    ''Edited for language - TonyE''

People can not spy on you. Firefox only requests a location when a website makes a request, and only shares your location when you has approved the request. Firefox does not track or remember your location as you browse.
It is an opt-in service, to turn disable it do the following:
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''geo.enabled''', double-click on it to change its value to '''false'''
For more details on it see http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/geolocation/

  • How can I turn off location tracking by Apple?

How can I turn off location tracking by Apple? Is is possible to roll the software back prior to Apple installing location tracking? I am very unhappy with this change by Apple. I know they probably included a reference to it in one of the user agreements, but this should have been clearly stated and offered a way to opt out. Anyway, any help on this would be appreciated.

Yeah, I do see your point. I personally feel perfectly safe using my iPhone wherever I go however I would consider that my usage is a lot less than the average user. I've had the phone for a year and have only made a total of 5 hours worth of calls and have only taken it out of my city one or twice. So for me I don't see any privacy concerns.
From reading the privacy statement though it seems that Apple are adamant that the collection of the geographical data etc is 99% personal information free. They use the term "non-personal information" and for that 1% where someone's personal information does somehow become mingled with their geographical location/movements etc Apple state that this information would be handled as though it was your credit card details or your social security number etc until such time as it's no longer combined.
"If we do combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined."
But, I do agree with the fact that Apple really should have made us more aware of this. Instead we have found out through scientists and their research... that, coupled with the fact that no other smartphone collects this information hasn't helped either.
I will continue to use my iPhone as normal though... I am personally confident in Apple's commitment to privacy. I know not all share this view and that's fine. We all have our own perceptions of the implications of technology...
To answer your question about rolling back your software though that can be done. Might be a bit of a headache though and I'm not the best person to help with that. I'm sure there's some good information here though. Good luck!

How I can turn online location Services on ?

    Hi Al-Amri
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
You referenced the current article regarding how to use Location Services on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:
    iOS 7: Understanding Location Services
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5594?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Turning Location Services on or off
You can turn Location Services on or off at Settings > Privacy > Location Services. You can turn Location Services on either during the Setup Assistant process or later through the Location Services setting. You can turn it off if you don't want to use this feature or to conserve battery life. You can individually control which apps and system services have access to Location Services data.
    Cheers,
    - Judy
