I tried Apple Care, they would not give me to the Account Security Team, kept me on the phone for over an hour, and never did solve my problem. At the end of the call, my iPad was still locked.
BUT I found this article and solved the problem myself:

Hey JoeiPod14, The battery meter whether you use the icon (which is better and uses less power) or the percentage, shows you the battery life remaining based on current power use. In others words as Illaass has stated it will fluctuate wildly. Example: You turn on your iPod it shows 90%, start gaming, let's say it's an online, high end graphics game. Your percent drops quickly to 65%, then you stop the game and start listening to listen to music on your iPod and the percent goes back up to 80%. In each case, the battery meter is showing you how much battery you life you have based on what you were doing at the time. Bottom line the harder the iPod has to work, the less time you will have to work / use it before the next charge. (I know-- duh!) Think of your battery meter as a gas tank gauge, it does not tell you when or where you will run out if gas or this case power only that it is close, if near empty. Oh, your question why it drops, even when I the charger, I assuming your iPod / iPhone was a sleep, powered down-- not working the CPU very hard, when you wake the device up there is power draw, so you see the fluctuations you have described, once the power surge stabilizes you get the current percent. For the past few weeks when I place a bid on ebay, Firefox crashes. The bid goes through but I have to restart Firefox each time. I have sent a report each time and asked to be notified and as of yet I have not got a solution to this problem.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully. They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac. Is this a synch issue? When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased. Is that true? My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well. Thanks.
You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

i recntly bought 2 ipod touches and they both seem to lock up in video mode and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? is it due to low battery?
It happens sometimes. Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem that points to a hardare problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar is in order.
