TS4002 I am having getting my hotmail messages on Apple Mail
Just got a Mac and use other mobile Apple devices. My iPad and iPhone are easily synching my email accounts (gmail and hotmail). I am having trouble getting my hotmail on my iMac. I have set up system preferences with both of my accounts. Gmail is working but not seeing any new hotmail messages. What have I done wrong?

What version of OSX are you using, what model is your Mac and how new.
Post the settings you are using for Hotmail and explain what 'trouble' you are having (include all error messages)

I am running Windows 7 and have tried to install iCloud. No matter what instructions I follow, I still get the error message "This Apple ID is valed but is not an iCloud account." How can I resolved this?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS, make sure to follow the steps closely, including the order in which you uninstall.

Yes another user with problem with Apple Mobile Device Support, I am getting the error message: Service 'Apple Mobile Device'(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Vertify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service....I hit retry and it came up again. I hit ignore and it prompted me to hit finish so Itunes can open. I looked thru alot of these posts on here to try and resolve this problem myself but it's not working too well...I downloaded Itunes to my desktop so I can right click it with the program i downloaded called WinRAR. I extracted it and then went into the folder called Itunes64setup. I saw the file called AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 in there so I began to try and download it on it's own. Well that didn't work as I planned and got this error message:
Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't installed on your computer. The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time,please run the installer again.
Well I tried to run it again and came up with the same message...I see that some people got great support to help them so I am hoping someone can help me as well. I know "b nor" is very qualfied and hopefully can help me! Please advise what I can do. Thank youHi Iss9243,

Initially iTunes would not run although it had been running quite well up until now. Suddenly received this error on PC start-up "The program can't start because MSVC80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Research on Net pointed me to iTunes as the issue. Tried to start iTunes and received that message again. Tried installing latest version of 64-bit iTunes and received the subject message part way through the install: Trying to install latest iTunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Keep getting this error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
iTunes has been running great on this PC for years. What's up?

When installing itunes on my windows XP I get an error message "Service Apple Mobile Device"

iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Application Support won't install normally. You could try this approach first.
