TS4002 iCloud mail not receiving mail on iPhone

I can sign into my iCloud account via a pc and check my iCloud mail account but for the last 2.5 months none of my mail will show up on my iPhone 4S? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Try deleting the iCloud account and re-adding it.  First save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (if not already there) by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then after a minute or so, sign back in with your iCloud ID.  (This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same iCloud account your data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.)

  • Apple Mail not receiving mail?

Hi there. I'm using Apple Mail 6.2 on Mountain Lion. I haven't had any issues with it when I installed ML when it came out but now I'm not receiving mail. I can still send mail out though. Is anyone else experiencing this? And is there something I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!

  • Mail not receiving mail and refuses to quit when prompted

When I open Mail, it seems to work fine. It receives all messages from the server without any problems; however, a few days later I notice that I don't get any mail from the Mail.app. However, I know I have been getting e-mails because of my iPhone and the Gmail Notifier.
I try to quit Mail when this happens, but I have to force quit the application. Mail does not stop responding. It just doesn't quit. There are no error messages. It just doesn't receive mail after a while and won't even if I press the "Get Mail" button.
Thank you in advance for helping me out with this.

I have this same problem as well. Mail will work fine for a few hours then it will get "stuck" on downloading a message. I never gets unstuck and I can't quit mail or the activity of downloading the mail - thus I have to force quit the app several times a day. It will also occasionally tell me to rebuild the index, which I do, but it only seems to help for a couple of hours until the next message gets stuck while downloading. Mail.app ran fine up until recently.
The only thing I can think of recently is that I have been on some sites that say "if you visit this site it may damage your computer" - I never downloaded anything... can malware be added to you computer just by visiting a site via the safari browser? I ran a malware/virus scan and it found mostly windows malware/viruses in old archived email attachments. Any ides?
FWIW: I'm using POP accounts and keeping them on the server for 1 week

  • TS3276 E-mail not receiving mail.

Hi, my e-mail has stopped receiving mail. Nothing has changed, in fact, my Mac hasn't even been switched off. I keep getting the username and password messages, but when I put them in it still won't go. I'm also getting a warning from the IMAP server wishing to alert me to the following: Moved:http://me.com/move. I've moved to iCloud so I don't see what this is about. I'm using OS X Version 10.5.8 if that makes any difference.

If you've just switched to iCloud, then you'll also want to switch to the iCloud account (if you have one created for you in your Mail client) and discontinue use of your current Mail Account settings in your mail client, or (if there's not an iCloud account that's been created for you in Mail) switch your current settings to match what is listed in the iCloud: Mail server information (HT4864) document.

  • Ovi mail not receiving mails

Anyone else has problems with receiving mails? Sending a mail to my account causes undeliverable pingpong message back. It tells that account does not exist... Funny that sending a mail still works from that "non-existing" mail address.
I've complained to support, but it appears that they don't care. I am kind of out of humour with this ovi mail stuff (referring to the (in)famous "we lost your mails for two weeks episode a while ago")

Impossible to say without knowing the details of your mail configuration.

  • Mac mail not receiving mail timely - through the web or mac mail on computer

for the past few days - my email works in the morning - then all afternoon - I can not receive email... sending is fine... then at about 7:30 at night - it all comes through - what is going on... this is ridiculous.
Mac mail on the lap top
    AND
    through web server
none are working - come on let's get this issue resolved it IS a mac mail issue Apple - fess up and fix it.

mail goes into sent folder, there is a sound as normal, there is NO error message. i verify by send a copy to me or to my colleagues
A sent message moved to the account's Sent mailbox indicates the message was successfully sent by the SMTP server used to send messages with the account. If the message cannot be sent for whatever reason, the message will remain in the Outbox mailbox with an error message provided. A successfully sent message is no guarantee the message will be accepted and received by the recipient's incoming mail server.
EVEN using web based mac.com to access mail (from location(work)), i cannot send mail!
When using webmail access to send a message with your .Mac account at work, is the message sent as with the Mail application and placed in the account's Sent mailbox which indicates the message was successfully sent but is not received or does something different occur?
but Gmail works fine from location (work) both via Mail.app and via gmail web-based
Then try selecting Gmail's SMTP server to send messages with your .Mac account when using the Mail application to see if this makes any difference or have you already tried this?
i have used another Ibook to try both via Mail.app and web-mased mac mail from location (work) but also will not complete the send.
i have configured a PC outlook express at location (work) for mac mail and it will not complete send
i have used PC browser (IE) to access mac mail web based and it will not send from location (work)
Are the messages also successfully sent with the Mail.app and webmail access on the iBook and with OE and IE on the Windows PC but not received by the recipient?

  • Sending Mail, Not Receiving Mail, not .mac

I just set up Mail to go through my Embarq account, and it works just find sending mail, but not for receiving mail. I have gone through the preferences a couple of times and carefully re-entered the information, but nuthin'. For my personal needs, being able to send is more important, but I'd like it to work all of the time! I followed the suggestions on this board, but can't seem to remedy the situation.
    Any suggestions?

Hi, I am in the UK and had the same problem. FWIW, I updated my G4 MDD DP867 to 10.5.7 and nada no mail send, only receive. I had also updated my MacPro 8 core to same spec. I looked at that and it worked. In the MP8 the difference was my out was saying this> smtp.demon.co.uk:username <and it should be> post.demon.co.uk. <I tried the new settings in G4 and nothing still worked, So I went to connect doctor and had it running with both send addresses at the same time. All of a sudden all the previous test mails started to fly out. I quickly saved the post. setting and this time it worked. Now it is running OK. Maybe you can try a similar method using a non address against the real one, it may kick it into life. I still do not know why the MP8 is running with a wrong address but I will leave it alone. Anyway good luck, hopefully 10.5.8 will not be so traumatic.

  • Mac Mail not receiving mail from certain sender

I'm having trouble receiving mail from a certain sender. I verified that they have my correct email address and I don't think it's getting filtered as junk because my junk mail folder is empty. Is there anything else that could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

  • My iPhone is not receiving mail but these messages continue to flash at the bottom of the screen:  Checking for messages, Updated just now, checking for messages, etc.  After a minute or so it will flash downloading 1 - 32 messages but nothing is received

My iPhone is not receiving mail but the following messages continue to flash over and over at the bottom of the screen:  "Checking for messages, Updated just now, Checking for messages", etc.  After a minute or so it will flash downloading 1 - 32 messages but nothing is received and then the "Checking for Messages," etc. starts back again.   I turned the phone off for 30+ minutes and also tried to reset it, but the problem continues.   Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Double click the home button and swipe up the messages app to stop it, then open the app again. This pretty much completely stops the process and freshly opens it again, resolving problems at times. I have had this happen before as well on my iPad, I get a banner, check messages, and nothing new is there.
If that doesn't work, close the app like suggested above, but then restart the phone by holding down the home and lock button for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears.

  • Not receive mail

It is not possible to send e-mail. The message in the screen is 'the connection with the outgoing server failed.
I checked al the options I received from my provider and everything is ok. Maybe inside of the Ipad the SSL is on.
I do not know how I can fix this problem.
I also do have the problem with my Iphone4.
Somebody knows how to fix it?
    Thanks!

Like you, I'm not receiving mail consistently, and additionally I can't quit Mail properly.
I'm not using Gmail (rather iCloud), but I'm getting similar issues: there's no indication in Mail that it's not working (no spinning wheels, nothing greyed out); I only know it's not receiving mail properly because my iPhone or iPad have lots of mail coming in.
Like you, I have to quit and relaunch, BUT I can't even quit from the Mail app - I select quit, and the window disappears, but the little bubble never disappears at the bottom of the screen. I have to Force Quit from the Activity Monitor. If I do that, and then reopen, it works fine - for a while (maybe a day or two?).
The two problems - not receiving mail, and not being able to quit - seem related: they always come together. If I'm receiving mail, I can also quit properly.

  • Mail program not receiving mail, says server not responding

Having a problem with my Mail program, my main email is not receiving mail and I've checked all the settings. I do receive the emails on my iPad and through iCloud on the Internet, but the emails will not show up through the Mail program.
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “[email protected]” or try again. The server returned the error: The attempt to send data to the server “(null)” failed."
Can anyone help me out? Thanks

@AuntieKris,the only solution I've come up with was to delete the email account from the Apple Mail settings and re-add it.
I have had the same problem happen to me a few times in the last month or so.
It seems to happen when I switch between certain wireless and cabled networks at my work place.
Indeed, when this happens I can still recieve emails on the ipad/iphone.
Not very elegant solution but it works. I'm open to more user-friendly suggestions...
FYI: I'm running Lion 10.7.2 and Mail 5.1.
