TS4002 Messages older than 30 days in inbox are not moved to deleted items when removed.

I've had a few messages that were stored in my inbox and were older than 30 days. I've noticed that when I actually delete them they aren't moved to Deleted Items (and sat for 30 days before permanently deleted). It seems that the actual date of the email is being used to calculate the age and not the time it sits in deleted items.

If deleted email isn't being moved to the trash you might want to go to icloud.com from your computer, open mail, click on the gear-shaped icon on the top right and choose preferences, then confirm on the General tab that you have checked "Move deleted messages to" and selected "Tash" from the drop-down list.

  • Viewing messages older than ten days in iMessage

Good day. I want to look back in a chat history, but when I get to messages more than ten days old iMessage stops retrieving them. My preferences are set to keep messages forever. I have an iPhone 5c with iOS 8, and I do not use iMessage on my desktop machine.
Thanks for any insights you may have!

Did you back your phone up?
Also sometimes the iMessage contains a combination of text and iMessages - the text messages are not recoverable
Did you upgrade the iOS in the last few days or reset your phone?

  • Thunderbird doesn't show messages older than 7 days

I installed Thunderbird on Windows7, and connected it to our company IMAP. It downloaded the mails correctly, but after using it for more than a week I noticed the inbox only shows messages up to 7 days old. I checked all sorts of forums and help sites, but nothing seems to answer my question as to what could be causing this and how I can solve it.
My settings seem to be correct to see all messages stored on the machine (something that happens automatically in for example Mac Mail):
In Account Settings under Synchronization & Disk Space the option to save messages on this computer is checked, all messages are synchronized locally and nothing is deleted.
In Inbox all messages are displayed. Also, under my account on C:// I can find all previous emails, so they are stored, Thunderbird is just not showing them in my inbox...
Would be great if this could be fixed!
    Thanks.

    Please follow steps as below...
    1. Open http://server.domain.ext:5XX00/dir/start/index.jsp (Please modify according to your server name, domain URL and Port)
    2. Navigate and open Runtime Workbench after you log on
    3. Navigate and open Message Monitoring
    4. Select appropriate Messages from Component: and From
    5. You will able to see Refresh button then |  View: and Time:
    5. Drop down Time: and you will able to do selection there Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly...
Please let me know if you have any other question.

  • How can I set up a rule to delete all messages older than 6 months left in Apple Mail's main inbox?

How can I set up a rule to delete all messages older than 6 months left in Apple Mail's main inbox?
I have created other rules to move some of my daily messages into specific folders and I don't wish to auto-delete those.
Just the general stuff that keeps piling up in my me.com main email box.  Mail such as FB announcements and other low priority stuff I want to look at before deleting but don't want to keep longer than a week or month.
    TIA
    thokitts

Thanks, but I am looking for a more automated solution than hand marking emails as junk. I might as well move them to the trash myself.
Again, these are emails I want to receive and quickly read, but not keep longer than a week or month or so. By setting a rule to toss any older than 30 days back then my Mail program (and thus my hard drive) won't be wasting so much space. For example, currently I have over 6000 read messages, with their attachments, in my main email box. I'd rather not have to physically attend to sorting the one I don't want out.
The one I do keep for other reasons get moved into other folders.
It seems this should be possible.

  • Powershell Command to permanently delete items in ALL users Deleted Items folder older than X days.

Does anyone know a powershell command that can be run on Exchange 2010 SP1 that will permanently delete mail in the deleted items folder older than X days for ALL users in a specific database? This should include any user created subfolders in deleted items
    also.
I know that seems bizarre to have user created subfolders in deleted items but we have found that users have discovered that if they create subfolders then their deleted items dont get purged at the regular retention period time.
    Thank You.

    Hi,
For Exchange 2010 SP1, we can use search-mailbox and new-mailboxexportrequest to delete message in certain folder.

  • Mail lists messages older than Yesterday with 27 March 09

My mail is received under the heading Date Received: as Today, Yesterday and 27 March 09. If I open the message with 27 March 09 the correct date and time is displayed in the message header. the time received is correct on all messages.
All messages in my various folders older than two days are dated 27 March 09. Any ideas.

With respect to having Mail store your Sent messages you must choose whether they are to be stored on the server (if .mac or IMAP account), and for how long to store them.
Before making this change, you should have created an On My Mac mailbox (this would be separate from the one for the account) and transferred the older messages to that mailbox.
However, in this case, since Spotlight finds some messages, you should look with the Finder in Home/Library/Mail/Mailboxes and see if there is an xxxx.mbox folder that was storing the Sent messages previously. If so, rename it, and it should show up in the Sidebar to the Mail window -- this might require reindexing via the Rebuild command.
More info after making this examination, and before renaming of making any other changes.

  • Export -mailbox to move emails older than 400 days to pst file

i have written the below script
    $date = get-date
    $MailboxList = get-content "E:\del_users.txt"
    ForEach ($Mailbox in $MailboxList) {
    Export-Mailbox -Identity $Mailbox -PSTFolderPath E:\pstfiles\$mailbox.pst -BadItemLimit 1000000 -StartDate $date.adddays(-450).ToString('MM/dd/yyyy') -DeleteContent
my target is to move all emails older than 450 days to a pst file. i ran this on one user and noticed his emails from today to 450th day from today was moved out.
In simple terms, i want to move all emails in all sub-folders that are older than 01-January-2014. Once this is done and when he logs to owa or outlook he must be only be able to see emails from 01-Jan-2014 to 17-Mar-2015.
how can i achieve this with the above script?
    cheers

We are facing this error with few mailboxes which are exclusively in one DB under one Storage Group & the mailbox is on EX001 with Exchange 2007 SP1
    We have 2 exchange servers:
    EX001 - Exchange 2007 SP1
    EX002 - Exchange 2007 SP3 (fully updated)
I have setup a Windows 8.1 32bit machine with Outlook 2013 for running the export-mailbox cmdlet to export mails to a PST file

I understand this is a permission issue and i have tried all of the below
    1. The user doing the export is a member of local administrator group in both source and target machine.
    2. the user doing the export is granted the exchange administrator role on EMC in both the source and target machine.
    3. Given full access permission to the username moving the mailbox to PST
    4. given receive-as permission to the username moving the mailbox to pst
    5. Given genericall access to the DB

Add this account to a Exchange Server Administrator Permission Both Source and Target Exchange Mailbox Server
Add this account to Local Administrators Group Member Both Source and Target Exchange Mailbox Server
Make sure this account DO NOT HAVE ANY Domain Admin/Exterprise Admin permission(Just keep Domain User group permission)
Assign Mailbox Full Access to this account by follow Cmdlet
    Get-Mailbox -Server "EX-CCR" | Add-MailboxPermission -User ExportAdmin -AccessRights FullAccess
Runas with ExportAdmin account (Open EMC)
    Get-Mailbox -Server "EX-CCR" | Export-Mailbox -PSTFolderPath
    Done
    7. On the DB, we set the retention to 0
however none of the above has helped me resolve my issue.

  • Need a script for archive/copy IMAP Emails older than 25 days to local mailbox

    Hi there,
I am really troubling with archiving my IMAP mails. So far I was using standard rules, which have a major drawback - they only work on incoming mails. But I want to copy only mails to my local mailbox that are older than 25 days. The reason is that by copying all incoming mails, mail also copies all spam and unimportant mails into the local mailbox. However I only want to copy the mails that I was able to read and consider to be important, which I am able to do within a couple of days. However, I am not able to to that on a daily basis and that is why I chose the 25 days window, because my hoster deletes them automatically after 30 days. I read in a lot of forums that rules wont help, since they only work for incoming mails, therefore I am guessing that I would need a script because I want this to be automated and only applied to mails that passed the 25 day timeframe. Is the anybody that could help me out? Thank you so much in advance.

    Hi adayzdone,
thanks for your reply but I am not a Gmail user, I am using Strato. Therefore the handy Google Scripts won't help.
I need a script in Apple, that only copies or moves the mail from my inbox to a local mailbox once they are past the 25 days line. Within those 25 day I have deleted all unnessecary mails, marks or higlighted the important once and know only the remaining once are worth keeping. But I still want them to be available in Mail and none of those archiving solutions that create pdfs or import them into their one database will help.

  • How to keep iCal events older than 90 days?

We use one of our iCal calendars for business, and we need to refer back to client appointments that occurred several months in the past.  However, despite unchecking all the "Delete events" options in Prefs, any appointment older than 90+ days is gone.  This is extremely annoying for all concerned.  Is there a fix, or do we have to use something like Google calendar and link to it?  I'm looking for a simple solution for everyone in the office.

I am having the same issue in a slightly different way.
Have a main calendar server I connect to at work and iCal syncs via CalDAV.
Nothing over about 90 days is getting pulled down even after deleting the calendar.
I am not the only one at work with a Mac that faces this issue.

  • Outlook 2013 Deletes mail older than 30 days in deleted items folder

Environment: Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2007 (fully patched)
One user has an issue where only 30 days worth of email is maintained in the deleted items folder. Every day, any email sent to deleted the previous day, will be gone.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi,
Outlook itself doesn't auto-delete anything. It could be something that's automatically being done by the server.
Let's first check the behavior on Outlook Web App (OWA), and see if issue persists.
If issue repro's on OWA, then it's something on Exchange server side, I would suggest you post the question in
Exchange server forum for further assistance.
If issue doesn't repro on OWA side, it might be something on Outlook client side that deletes emails from the trash. For this scenario, I would suggest you first check if he/she has
AutoArchive configured for the deleted folder which might delete messages older than a certain period of time.
Please feel free to post back with any findings.

  • ICM 7.5.9 deletes DD records older than 15 days

    Hi guys,
I have a strange thing happening with our ICM 7.5.9 installation...
The Dialer Detail table for the Outbound Option deletes the records older than 15 days...
I checked the purge jobs and they all reference registry keys which have a value of 1000 + days...
This only happens with the DD table... all the other historical tables retain the data as set in the reg keys...
I have no clue where to start troubleshooting this... anyhelp is wellcome.

Below is the link to check the logs if the purge cycle on HDS was successful.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1001/products_qanda_item09186a008020f1e2.shtmlSo turn on the EMSTraceMask to ffff for rpl process on the AW and check the logs around mid night it should give you some clue.
Use the ICMDBA to check the size of your hds db if it is 80%+ full it will start purging
    the tables.
    eg trace would look like,
09:52:39 dis-rpl Trace: 80% of the available free space is used in
    XX_hds database.
09:56:39 dis-rpl Trace: 80% of the available free space is used in
    XX_hds database.
If you see similar messages expand the HDS db using the below link

    Hope this helps.

  • Why spotlight is not able to perform searches on iCal events older than 365 days?

why spotlight is not able to perform searches on iCal events older than 365 days? I really do not understand why if iCal can sync all events, even the very old, the spotlight will not be able to search on events older than 365 days; why? is absurd; let's say I want to search for a person contained in an old appointment: iCal in your Mac with a few key words, I find it right away, but this important feature on the iPhone is locked; we have in our pockets phones are very sophisticated, but it does not manage to make things really trivial.

    Hello -
This is the webservice policy violation from client side.
Mainly the time difference is the route cause.
By default WLS will allow up to 300 sec for client message.
You can change the setting by editing the following...
    Go to Security Realms >myrealm >Providers >DefaultIdentityAsserter
Then edit Digest Expiration Time Period value according to your requirement.
