TS4006 how to cancel a remote wipe request

How can I cancel my request to remote wipe my ipad2? I found it and do not want it erased.

No, you cannot cancel the request.
However, you can perform the backup on the computer through itunes(make sure you are not connected to internet). Once the backup is done, you can turn on the internet on the phone & let the wipe complete.
Then you can restore the data back from iTunes.
I hope this will help.

Unfortunately, instructions to remotely wipe cannot be cancelled.

  • Anyone know if you can rescind a remote wipe request in Find My IPhone?

Anyone know if you can rescind a remote wipe request in Find My IPhone?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
It seems that some users have been able to cancel an impending wipe or lock, simply by removing the device from the 'Find my phone feature', so long as the device is offline.
Log into iCloud.com, open the 'Find my phone' feature, select your device from the device list and click on the 'Remove from Find My Phone' link at the foot of the page.

  • How to cancel a remote request at the POA?

    Hi,
today we had the problem that a user running the gwclient in remote mode
had requested the download of an email attachment. This attachment was
very large and because of the bad internet connection at his location,
transfer was aborted several times. Because of that the user cancelled
the remote request on his side (= gwclient).
Problem was, that this request has been transmitted to our POA and any
time the user connected again via remote mode, the attachment transfer
started from scratch; making it impossible to sync the other (newer)
    mails.
In the past I was able to delete remote requests at the POA, by deleting
the user's directory below "../ofwork/ofdirect/". This time the user did
not have such a directory, therefore nothing I could delete.
Is there any other way to get rid of remote requests??
    Thanks in advance,
    Frank

    Maybe TID10080811 has the answer.

  • How to cancel an iPod service request

A while ago I requested some iPod service, but I ended up figuring the problem out, and just forgot about the request. Now my iPod is fully dead, and I want to send another request, but it says I can only make one request at a time (because the other one is still in effect). Does anyone know how to cancel it? When I click on it, it says "no data".
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Max

just call AppleCare and tell them you need to cancel. They can look your dipatch up by iPod serial# or your dispatch ID#.

  • How do I configure "remote access request"?

    Hi there,
I am missing the option in ARD to send a remote access request to a client each time an admin wants to take control of his computer. Is it possible to configure that and does someone know how? I searched a while but didn't find anything...
    Thanks for any help.

I just found out, that it might be possible doing the following:
Select an already to a list added client computer in this list, show "Information" (right click) and click on "Edit" in the attributes-Tab (called "Attribute" in the German localised Software). There you can delete the account information (user and password) you have entered adding it to the list. With this done, any further connection to the client reveals a dialog asking you if you want to ask for the permission.
Maybe there's an easier way? But this works for me so far.

  • I did a remote wipe after my ipad got robbed, I want it to be canceled because I want to LOCATE it. The wipe was an accident and the police can't help me. What do I do ?

Today I came back from a little out of town vacation for about 5 days. My iPad was robbed as was all my money a bunch of jewelry and much more. The police can't help me find the iPad, they said I have to go on iCloud.com and do everything from there. I went to the website and I accidently hit Remote Wipe, without warning the thing is now going to wipe my iPad 2 which I got about 2 months ago. If it gets wiped there's no way to trace it. What the f*ck do I do now? I am going to lose my new iPad because of an accidental click. I want to complain especially because of the fact that it doesn't warn you about anything that happens once you do the "Remote Wipe."

  • How to cancel a service request?

I had been running the Ipod in the car and noticed it had gone into the red. I turned it off and it went off normally. When I got home I hooked it to the computer to charge and it froze up completely, no response to anything, hold button, click wheel, weirdest yet, the backlight stayed on permanantly. And the computer did not recognize that it was even connected in Itunes or as a drive.
So I freaked out a bit and after an hour or so while( after trying what I could which was basically holding controls down and flipping the hold button off and on ) I gave up and put in a service request, and went to bed.
The next day, I noticed that the Ipod was dark ( which I expected since the battery was almost gone and the backlite was stuck on ). But just for fun I press the clickwheel on and lo and behold, it came back on as normal. I hooked it up to the computer as usual and it was visible to Itunes and the computer as it should have before. So I went through the reset process just in case and relaoded my music.
So I guess there should be a 6th "R" Let it sit over night and see if it still screwed up the next day
Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to cancel a service after already receiving the return box Which was very fast by the way. Like, 2 days. Anyway, I looked all over the support site and could not find anything that looked like what I needed.
Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to cancel the service request?

the spinning bars is at the center of the screen for hours now and it is still spinning. any clue?
It's probably waiting for the phone to come back on line so it can communicate with it.
