TS4006 I have several iphones on find my iphone. How do I know which one is the correct iphone. None of them are labeled Iphone4 or 5 etc.
I just had my iphone stolen from me. In the past I have always set up my phones an ipads on to the find my iphone service. I have never deleted them from the find my iphone account and now I have 3 iphones showing and 2 ipads. How can you tell the difference when none of them are labeled as Iphone 4, iphone 4s, iphone 5, etc. No dates are shown as when purchased so it I can't figure out which one is the correct iphone to put on lost mode and send message to.
Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.

5. Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
6. The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say. It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though.

Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow. It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them. You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version). Personal preferences showing here. -

When you sync to a new library, it will erase the current content.
Use your backup copy of the old computer to copy everything to the new one. -

Yes, there are even defaults for naming them, such as LivingRoom, Bedroom, etc, or you can even enter your own name with the remote for each AppleTV.

Hi! I am having the same problem. What's odd is that a few days ago- the ipad was connecting to the network fine. No changes made. Other devices can connect to this network. I have also been able to connect my ipad to other networks.
I have reset all network settings, reset my ipad, reset the router, hard stop reboot, turn on/off wifi connection. what's interesting is that when i click the arrow next to the network i am trying to log onto- the ip address, router, and dns numbers come up automatically and the router number does not fill in (also- this process takes a long time- at least 5 minutes).
any thoughts? -
I seem to have duplicated my 'Library' folder - one inside and one outside my USER folder. (additionally there is a Library folder in the systems folder - but that should be there!). I do not know which one to delete (both 8-10 GB) Help!!
There should be at least THREE Library folders:
1- Inside your "home" folder, the one with your user name.
2- At the "root" level of your boot volume.
3- Inside the System folder at the "root" level of your boot volume.
If it's one of those three, ignore them - especially if you don't know exactly what you're doing.
If it's some other Library folder just floating around somewhere, you can safely delete it. Note that every user account will have its own Library folder inside its "home" folder, and these you should also leave alone. -

Find my iPhone will give you your iPhone name when you track it, so the solution is to give your iPhones different names.

In order to save using data when traveling I want to delete apps from my iPhone that I don't need. However I do want these apps on my iPad and with the new IOS8.0.2 and Yosemite I think they are all now integrated so that if I delete from one device it is deleted from all and if I add to one device it is added to all. I send out a news letter for the Lions Club and involves 30 different people. Sometimes I get an undeliverable message and I don't know which address did not get delivered. How can I find out which one was not delivered so I can make sure I have all the correct data.

Some exported movies from old digital have gone into the incorrect year. How can I move them around into the correct year or at the very least move them in the current year but in chronological order eg under 2011 I have listed them as 2004 - blah blah, 2005 blah blah but they are "all over the place". There are two ways to do this.
The simplest is to right-click on the clip in the Event and modify the date.

If you have a long clip that you would like to split into smaller clips, there is another way. You can drag the long clip into a free tool called MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5. In MPEG Streamclip, put your playhead on the in point of your first smaller clip and type I. Then set the playhead on the out point of your first smaller clip, and press O to set the out point. Then FILE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME. If your clip is DV, As you save the clip, rename it in the form clip-yyyy-mm-dd hh;mm;ss.ext, where the word "clip" must be lower case. YYYY is year. hh is hours in 24 hour time. Then repeat this process until you have all your smaller clips made. Finally, you can import all these clips into an iMovie Event using FILE/IMPORT MOVIES. -
Firmware how do I know which one I have

It depends on when Apple refurbished the iMac. It's
possible that it has been sealed up in the box for a
while. Unless there's a shipping label attached to
the box, you don't know whether "Computer Geeks"
purchased it directly from Apple or from another
source (wholesale, liquidation, auction, etc.).
The label on the brown box the iMac was sent in was labeled 08/01/06.
The serial number that it was reassigned was YM13003WLGQ. Is this the kind of serial number Apple gives a refurbished computer? There was no Apple part number on the label but a new Computer Geeks SKU of IM500-BLU-B.
If
they acquired it through one of the latter sources,
that could explain the iMac's "dated" firmware.
My gut says this is either something given a lick and a promise by Computer Geeks (they ran the Apple hardware tests and it checked out as Kosher) and then sold as "refurbished" or something that was bought from a school and then represented as "refurbished" but actually better referred to as "used."

Yeah, but the problem is if it does get "bricked" I can't replace it. There were only 3 left of this model when it was bought and now none left. It looks like I will visit the friendly folks at the Genius Bar for this one. Not gonna take the chance. -
