TS4006 icloud backup notice is frozen on my screen.

The screen states:
iCloud Backup
This iPad has not been backed up in 2 weeks.  Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi.  There is an OK button, but it will not work.  It is just frozen and I can't use any part of the ipad.  Ideas to clear the notice and proceed with a backup and/or use the ipad?
Thanks!

Had this same problem.  Apple service contract (conveniently) ran out just a couple of days before.  I've only had the device just over 3 months.  Tech support tried desperately to sell me a $199 service contract.  When I told the tech I would find an answer on line, he told me my time should be worth more than my money.  Was very rude and insistent.  I finally hung up on him and found my answer and fixed the problem in  a couple of minutes (less time than when I was on hold!)  Thanks, randers 4.  No thanks, Apple -- you should be ashamed!!

  • Ipad stuck with icloud backup window - unable to access account

My iPad is stuck with the icloud backup window showing.
Both the Ignore button and the Settings button are ignored (they blink when I touch them, but nothing happens).
I cannot power off.  No other icons on the screen respond.
I plugged it in, but that did not change the symptoms.
The wi-fi is working just fine for all my wireless devices.
I have been hitting ignore to the icloud backup  notice for some time now since I changed my Apple Password as I have nothing on the iPad that I wish to back up.
Now it is unusable and I need it this afternoon for my facetime with my daughter in Australia.
    Help.
    Jim

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignor the off slider if it appear. Then turn the iPad back on using the On button.
Not sure if this will resolve the issue, but shouldn't hurt.

  • HT1766 iCloud backup box locked up iPad. I push ok but nothing happens. Box just stays there?

ICloud Backup box appears in middle of screen saying, "This iPad hasn't been backed up in 3 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi. When I click the "OK", it changes colors like it's working, but nothing happens. So my iPad is locked up. It's plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi like the box said. I can't unlock or turn off. The sliders won't move because of the box in the middle.

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
