TS4006 my ipad was stolen while on vacation in mexico. when i try to use icloud to find it it says i have no devices set up on icloud. is there any other way to track it? also is there any way to cancel a remote wipe?

i need help. i am currently in mexico city. i was staying at my cousins house and yesterday when we got back for going to museums we saw that the apt had been broken into and everything taken including my ipad. i have it set up with icloud so i tried to find it but it told me that the service was unavailable at the moment. since i have a lot of personal information on my ipad i chose to remote wipe it. i havent receivec a confirmation email so i believe it hasnt been done yet. but now when i go on icloud.com it says i dont have any devices set up. is there anyway to cancel the remote wipe and find the ipad? i have it password protected so im afraid that whoever stole it might have tried to figure out the password and ereased everything. i would really apretiate any information that might help me recover my ipad.

Unfortunately, instructions to remotely wipe cannot be cancelled.

You cannot. The apps are assigned to that Apple ID and there is nothing you can do to change that. You could choose to download them again with the new Apple ID, any paid apps will need to be purchased again.

On the MacBook, open up the Preferences dialog and go to the Sync panel. Click the Manage Account button so it shows more options, then click on the My Sync Key link to show you the Sync Key.
The sync key is the same as the secret phrase, it was renamed in recent versions of Firefox Sync.

Since you have already isolated it down to your home network, if following Steve's instructions do not fix your issue, contact your Internet Service Provider or Router Manufacturer and make sure your network is set up according to this information: iOS and OS X: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

The "Sample Field" letters are very dim. After punching several times the right click revels "Clone stamp mode". The next little circle has a line through it and after several right clicks, it says: "turn on to ignore adjustment layers when cloning," Despite this I cannot get any kind of a response to change any of the existing entries. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do. Change your passwords, notify the police and your insurance company, and if it was a wifi model, your carrier. Without iCloud and Find My iPad, it can't be tracked.

If performing a search on it does not list the last position, then there isn't one to report (or an older position is not given). When you put a device in Lost Mode, then you can have a trail of locations presented as long as the device isn't offline. But I'm guessing you didn't put it into Lost Mode.

I recently updated my itunes to the latest version. Now when I try to view music on my ipod, it says I have to sync it? My ipod was already synced to this computer before and I don't want to lose anything on my ipod or in my itunes. What do I do?

It doesn't say anything. It runs through the sync process like normal and tells me all of the songs that it's synking. But then when it says I can disconnect it, nothing actually synked.

Icloud is synched to the wrong apple ID and the password was unknown to me, after answering the security questions I was able to reset it. Now when I try to login on my ipad to delete the icloud associated to that apple ID it keeps telling me its wrong?

It sounds like the new iPad, had a previous owner. If you don't recognize the email for the Apple ID on your iPad, then it was registered to another person.
If it was, you can't use it and should return it.

MY Ipod touch will say it is connected to the wi fi, but when I try and use the wifi for an app it say there is no internet connection.

Try:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router

Remember, take a note of the incident number when you have reported it to the police ... without that, any domestic insurance claim will not receive attention.
