family with multiple apple accounts, can we create a secondary "family" account?

You can perfectly well create a new separwate iCloud account: for this you will need to create a new Apple ID for which you will need a non-Apple email address you haven't used elsewhere for iCloud.
That done, everyone can sign into it in System Preferences (or Settings)>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable the various data types in the checklist there. This is a 'secondary account': its email, Contacts and Calendars will appear alongside those in the existing 'primary account' but you don't get 'push' email (it's checked periodically) and it cannot use PhotoStream.
Note that if you've been using the same device to create other accounts, there is a limit of three iCloud accounts which can be created by any one device, so if that's been reached you would have to use another device: once done the first device can sign into it perfectly well.

I have multiple iphones on one billing account as well as itunes.  Can I create a separate itunes account for other iphone?

You don't need to create two separate libraries.
If you want to sync different content onto each device, select the device in iTunes, select the tabs across the top and sync what you want.
To make it easier, create different playlists for each device and sync only those playlists.

  • I have a family with multiple device (9) can I use same account to sync them without sharing contacts I dont want children to have?

I have a family with 9 devices (4 iPhones, 2 iPads, and 3 iPods) can I put these on one account, so I can easily manage their devices.  But I do not want to share all information, such as contacts with children or calendars.  Is this possible???

    Yes.
They all need an ID of their own to log into settings > iCloud but they can use the same ID to log into settings > iTunes & App Stores.

My family has multiple iPhones.  Can we use one Apple ID for all of our phones?

If you use the same AppleID for iMessage and iCloud though, you will all be sharing the same message account and iCloud email account.  You can use a common AppleID for purchased content, but each create your own unique AppleID for iMessage and iCloud so you each have your own private accounts for those services.

actually, unless you take an extra step, the first opened swf will close.  if you want the 2nd to close, the initial receiving lc will send a message to sender that causes the sender to close.

can I sign in with multiple apple IDs in a single apple device without deleting my previous one?

    Hi swagyoloswag,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
There are several different services that require signing into an Apple ID to use on your iOS device. You can sign into different Apple IDs for different services on your iPhone. For example, Apple ID #1 for iCloud and Apple ID #2 for iTunes & App Store. You cannot sign into the same service with two different Apple IDs at the same time. The attached article has a list of services that are accessible with your Apple ID.

  • When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer
How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer

  • If I have 3 family memebers sharing the same account, can we create sub accounts to seperate their log in and they have access to music already purchased?

If I have 3 family members sharing the same account, can we create sub accounts to seperate their log in and they have access to music already purchased?

There is no such thing as "sub-accounts".
Multiple Apple ID's can be used on a single device.
Created unique Apple ID's for each user and use those Apple ID's on the appropriate devices from iCloud and iMessage.  This will not affect the media on the device.

  • I loged in in icloud with my apple id, it says its not an icloud account, how do I make it an i cloud account?

    1) I loged in in icloud with my apple id, it says its not an icloud account, how do I make it an i cloud account?
    2) The thing is that i have 2 apple ids:
and I want to use this apple id for icloud and another for appstore.
    How do i do it?

You create an iCloud account by going to Settings>iCloud on an iOS device or System Preferences>iCloud on a Mac and signing in with your Apple ID.  This requires iOS 5 or higher on your iOS device or OS X 10.7.2 or higher on your Mac.  Note: you cannot create an iCloud account on a PC, you can only sign into an existing iCloud account that was created on an iOS device or Mac.

  • HT204053 I have 2 Itunes accounts, one I don't use with money in the account, can I combine that money or account into the account I currently use?

I have 2 Itunes accounts, one I don't use with money in the account, can I combine that money or account into the account I currently use?

You can access, usually under the Apple (icon) menu in the main desktop
window, note item with name "About this Mac" & click on that, to see more
information about your computer, its OS X version, and other. The system
version and build model are there. Do not post a serial number.
If you are setting up Mail in a Mavericks OS X 10.9.x system, there often
is access to information in the Help viewer from the main menu bar, or
in an open mail application. If you have a Gmail or other account, that
info is often on their home page where setup and help are located.
    The settings of each email account may vary according to their provider;
so you would have to change your computer to accept them. An older
link to a general look at that issue, change IMAP to POP, is covered here:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16770816#16770816
While that may not answer your question, you could use the info in
your Mac OS X system Help viewer and use its search; or maybe
a Spotlight search to see an answer online.
You have to learn some basic things in order to actually use these...
and it helps to expand that so you won't have to pay for tech service
on things you can do yourself in a few minutes, beyond easy stuff.
Of course, you're hearing this from a guy with no ISP email, ever.
So mine are web-mail only; & I never save email to a computer.
PS: If you have a new Mac with an AppleCare plan, you may be able
contact Support for help. Ask someone (for 90 days, or up to 3 years
if the Plan was extended) there at AppleCare, for their guidance.

  • IPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand with multiple apple ID's.

    Hello,
First of all I want to excuse myself for my bad english. It's not my native language.
I've bought a Macbook Air 11" two weeks ago and I logged in the app store using an "old" apple ID. Now that I wanted to use a new apple ID to start "clean" I also decided to reinstall my macbook.
Once I tried to redownload iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand I got the message that those applications are "attached" to a other account. I still got that account, but I want to know if I can "remove" those apps on the "old" account and download them using my "new" account.
I don't want to keep two accounts because I logged in the first time with a other account. Is this possible?
    Cheers,
    Sq

So the first time you log in with an apple id the apps are "attached" to that account without any notice? I can't even purchase them. Reinstalling my mac didn't give me back the applications either. I'm flabbergasted how the apple ID's work and that they can get away with this. Support must come from other users as I can't depend on Apple themselfs. Unbelievable...
    Thanks for the suppor Carolyn.

  • If i sign up for itunes match with one apple id can i get the other apple id songs

if i sign up for itunes match with one apple id can i get the other apple id songs

I'm assuming you mean can you access the purchased songs from another apple id.  No you cannot.  You will need to download these on another computer and then transfer the hard files into your itunes library that you are using icloud with and let icloud match them.
You cannot access two different id's from one match account.  Also, if you sign out of the match account that you are signed into to another to download purchases you will not be able to sign back into your match account for three months.  So do not do this either.  Just use a friends computer or another way.

  • I have regisetred a EIT with multiple rows Yes, can we change it NO now.

I have registered a EIT with multiple rows Yes, can we change it NO now.

    Hi,
Yes you can change this through back-end.
Register extra information (types) concurrent program run the package HR_REGISTER_EITS and insert definintion of an EIT in respective INFO_TYPES tabel for example if person EIT then definition is stored in PER_PEOPLE_INFO_TYPES.
In this table we have column MULTIPLE_OCCURENCES_FLAG which can have value as Y or N, Y - Multiple entries allowed, N - Multiple entries not allowed.
You need to update the value of this flag to N for your EIT definition and you are done.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay
