TS4036 Can you reset I-Phone password from computer?

My I-Phone 4S screen is severely cracked and not sensative to touch, resulting in not being able to use screen touch to unlock password. Is there any way to unlock or erase the password usinf I Cloud or other Mac access points?

Resetting the password if you don’t know the administrator password
OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks and 10.10 Yosemite
Reset Password
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

You have to restore from the computer to which it is synced. Everything on the ipod should be on the computer so it can be put back on the ipod after restore.

I just got the iphone 4. I plugged it up to my itunes and it asked to restore from previous iphone or retore like a new phone. I picked from previous phone. Well it ended up clearing EVERYTHING off. Even when an Ipad has a 3G cellular modem with a microsim of nanosim card with cellular number - still it can NOT receive a SMS text message shipped to the cellular number.
I can confirm this for an iPad Mini with iOS 6.1 - SMS text messaging is NOT supported.

iTunes and the iTunes Store won't have anything to do with your photos. Those would be stored only on your laptop unless you made a backup of some sort. If you didn't, and the hard drive in your laptop has failed, then your photos are gone unless you wish to pay a disk recovery service a lot of money to try and get them back.
As to your music, if you purchased it from the iTunes Store you can probably re-download it. Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. Yes, update first, Settings > General > Software Update.
Then navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

Without the Apple ID and password the phone was originally activated with, you will not be able to activate the phone. No one here can help you, and neither can Apple. So, unless you or your friend can remember that ID, you will never be able to activate the phone.

Depends what you mean by Reset. You can clear it by connecting it to iTunes and clicking the Restore iPhone button in iTunes.

Hi when I bought my macbook pro second hand, I didn't realize there was a firmware password for the computer making it impossible to enter the boot options menu. I have tried the password that came with the computer and my user password and neither worked, so how can I reset the password? Is there a general default password? Any way I could do it without going to the apple store as the nearest one is three hours away and I don't have transportation to get there.

You can only reset the firmware password if you know it. Also, you need to start from OS X Recovery or the OS X disc in order to reset it, so it's not possible to do anything else. The only thing you can do is to take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller, because there's no way to reset your firmware password that we already know

You choose whether to see text messages in Notification Center or not. If you elect to see them, they will display the phone number (unless they are from a contact in your contacts list).
You can choose not to see them at Settings > Notification Center > Messages.
