TS4036 Cannot open iCloud in settings

Hi,
On my settings page, iCloud is a dull grey colour and therefore I cannot highlight it to work.
I was able to previously, but apple had to replace my iPad so now I cannot install iCloud on this iPad.
Please help.

Check Settings>General>Restrictions. Be sure it's off.

You cannot access iCloud on a Mac running Mac OSX 10.4. Are you sure, the system version is correct?
If you are running iWork '09 (iWork 09 9.0.1) on your Mac with Numbers 2.3, you must at least have MacOS X 10.5.6 installed.
if you want iCloud support for iOS apps, you need the iWork 9.3 update,see: About the iWork 9.3 Update
And this update requires OS X Lion v10.7.4

It should be there. Are you sure the iPad is running iOS 5? You can check in Settings>Genreal>About. The iOS version is shown under Version.

As Crizzo stated, you are probably not running the necessary iOS for iCloud.
You can check in Settings>General>About>Version .... To see which iOS the iPad is running. This will explain how to update your iPad. You must do this via iTunes on your computer and you want to make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed as well.

After you have updated to iOS 5, you will be able to update over the air in the future without the need to go through iTunes on your computer.

Ive noticed that while using my iPad in settings / the iCloud or twitter cannot open.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Cannot open score project settings...

Hi all!
I have this wierd issue on my laptop. I've stripped some songfiles made on a MacPro, down so they only contain the score. No audio instruments, just some of the plugs are still there. When I open the files the page setup looks different. Even though I've set it to print on the same printer, the margins are different and Header info is off the paper. So I try to open score project settings and find I cannot. I wandered if it might be a problem that the project was made on two screens and that the prefs window is actually opening off-screen. I've never experienced that before but who knows. So I try Exposé to reveal all open windows but Exposé fades out floating windows so if the prefs are out there, I can't see them.
has anybody encountered this problem and found a solution?

one more thing: the off-screen dialog box hypothesis is wrong. When flipping through the different menues in the "project settings" window, they all open except score project prefs. I can open it on a new file created on this laptop though.

Cannot open iCloud document on Macbook pro (numbers, pages, ...)

Im am sharing some documents between iPad, iPhone, iMac and the Macbook pro. The Macbook pro is new, I am starting to use it now.
When trying to open a document (e.g. a numbers document) on my Macbook pro, I can see it in the "open file" dialog; the dialog even shows a preview. When clicking at the document I get an error message, telling me that numbers cannot open the file.
I can open my iCloud files at my iMac without a problem; no problem with the iPad also. I am using the newest versions of numbers, pages at all my devices.
At my Macbook pro I can move the iCloud document to the desktop. At the desktop it opens without any problem.
Any idea?

System Preferences Error. Cannot open iCloud or others

I am on 10.7.5 on my older iMac.
I just had a new hard drive installed my a Mac Service center.
I am in the System Preferences and when i click on iCloud, it says it has to close system preferences and reopen. I click ok and it reopens SPreferences.
When I click on iCloud a window pops up and says "Preferences Error. Could not load iCloud preference pane". Same thing with Mail/Contacts/Calendars.
Funny thing is, when I click on iCloud or Mail tab in System Prefs, it tells me that SP needs to quit and reopen, it will do so, then the top of the Prefs window then reads "System Preferences (32-bit)".
I tried repairing permissions and restarting, no luck.
Anyone know what the heck is going on?

Cannot open icloud panel control after update

After updating Icloud, Outlook could not open.
I uninstall Icloud and install it again. This time, the control panel of Icloud cannot be opened and I cannot have Icloud on outlook???

Cannot open iCloud

OK I have the latest OSX I updated my iPad but I cannot get iCloud to work. When I click on it in Sytem Pref it gives me the window to move my MobileMe. First of all I never used Mobile Me but when I sign in with my Apple ID it takes me to a page that it says is Find My iPhone (I don't have one) but the page is blank and I CANNOT go any further. I am new to Apple...started on PCs back in the 80s and this has been a real learning experience. I have been told that Apple is much easier and more user friendly so I am assuming that it was my long time association with Windows that makes me feel it was easier to upgrade. I have had to use multiple steps but this latest has got me ready to throw things!!!! Please tell me what I can do because there is noone to call and I want the **** iCloud to work!

Same situation, here. Apparently iTunes Match's server is down. I'm sure it will be back up and operating later, it always seems to do this, every once in a while.

Unfortunately the iCloud Account window is pale grey and cannot be selected, so I have no access.
I was successful with Messages, and in Mail, Contacts, Calendars the ICLOUD Account name is correct and I have access there!
