TS4036 I have an issue with the last OS update and missing contact info on my iphone 5
Since being prompted by my iPhone 5 to do a OS update,I did so,checked where appropraite to proceed with the OS update at the prompts,screen on phone went thru a couple of iCloud questions,and I proceeded.OS downloaded,everything was I guess ok,until,I noticed that half or more of my phone contacts are missing,everything from a to k is there,everything from l to z is gone...I need those contacts restored!!! *** happened???? Where did they go,I do remember somewhere where I clicked on something to do with the iCloud,but I didn't think it would erase half of my phone contact list.I really need those phone number back.Any clues on how to restore these?? I've already sync'd my phone with my computer,and tried to figure out on my phone what to do,but no luck. Rob
Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

I recently did a Software Update of OSX 10.7.4 (on June 12, 2012). It was on an iMac 27" Mid 2010.
After the Update, the system froze on a grey screen, the update failing. The mouse was still active, but the system was otherwise frozen.
The keyboard Caps Lock light would not respond. After waiting 15 minutes, I did a Power-Off by holding down the power buttone.
Upon reboot, the system gave a "grey screen of death" with a lernel Panic, noting the following was on the screen.

No safe mode.

I am currentluy restoring off Time Machine Backup taken earlier today.

iTunes has stopped working on my PC with latest updates.
Well, I guess I have to download some other software to make my apple product work. Really great stuff you guys sell. I will never buy another apple product. My Iphone, Ipod and Itunes are junk

Does anyone have an issue with the screen fading in and out on the droid ultra?
When I enter my pass code for voice mail it fades in and out and makes it difficult to enter the passcode.
jdufresne72, let's bring light to this situation. Try adjusting the display light settings on your phone. Tap Settings>Display>Sleep>tap desired time for screen back light. Keep us posted and let us know if this resolves your issue.

itunes locks up my computer every time I try to start it. This has happened with the last few updates so I have not used it.

I am using system 10.8.2 and have an issue with the screen saver not filling the screen. the desktop does, but not the screen saver. I find adjustments for the desktop, but not the saver. Would appreciate any suggestions.
I have a group of my images that rotate, and yes it happens oneach. I do believethat I have at one time had the images cover the entire screen, however I cannor remember how I made that happen, just like the desktop. I am sure it is old'ites setting in!

I have an issue with the Recycle Bin. It does not respond if I click on the Icon. I have to empty the bin via another program
"CCleaner" is a scam and it may well have corrupted the operating the system. Get rid of it according to the developer's instructions, then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later. -
I have an issue with the Containers / Triggers.
I have an issue with the Containers / Triggers. My issues is with the blank composition, when I edit the container to the size I need and place the target inside of that.. which is what I thought I needed to do.. Target = Image and container is the housing for said image. I want the image to appear in a certain location on my site though when I preview it. It does not display where I placed the container/ target.
I used a blank composition at a certain size no fills no stroke, setup the 8 triggers as "buttons" which all work as expected. container is placed in a certain area and target is inside that scaled as needed. My images do not display inside of my container. Any help??Well I figured it out. Though I'd like to know why it still wasn't working with the previous settings.. I'll explain it better here.
click on widgets library and add a blank widget to the page, add say 4 triggers giving them an image for their fill. Add a roller over state with its proper image. Move to the container / target boxes. My container has no fill or stroke. All 4 of them sit on top of one another. So they all fall in the same location. Add the images to the targets that match the triggers. So trigger A goes to container / target A and so on. My options for the widget were set to lightbox. not showing prev. next button or anything fancy. As soon as you preview it.. on browser, the images appear to land in the middle of the page. ( think it's due to lightbox setting) as soon as I changed the option to "stacked" it appeared to work as expected.
So why does the lightbox default to the center of the page when you are viewing the images? Why can't it just load from where I had placed the target / containers? -
Ever since I upgraded to IOS 7 on my iPad2, it does not remember my passwords, even though I check "keep me signed on". Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? I did not have this issue with the previous OS. Thank you.
Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.

I have 2 iphones syncing on one computer and on the same apple ID.
Before i updatad my Itunes to the last available update and my Iphones to 5.01
i had no problem draging jpg. and mp3 files into my iphones DCIM folder (the picture folder that opens
when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

How can i delete the new feature "get in contact with your favourite persons"?? When u press the "home" button twice, theres a list on top of the ipad with the last persons youve been in contact with. How do i delete that, or some of them ;-) Sorry for the danish
You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.

I get a error message "To charge faster, use the cable and device that were provided with this phone" when charging my Samsung Galaxy note 3. I took it to a store last week and they said it has something to do with the last software update. They tried charging it at the store and got the same message. I was given another phone, I still get the same error with the new phone.
