TS4036 Lost Notes on iphone 4

I have lost pages of Notes from my Iphone 4 this morning, when I started a new notes page, the first page disappeared! This has happened before....
Am I able to get these back?
Do you know why this happens?
I am using icloud....

Your notes are tied to an email account. Ensure you're looking under the right acct. If still no notes, try going to settings>mail> then under the email acct, turn off notes. Then exit, go back in and turn on notes. Shut down notes in the multitasking area and re-open.

Lost notes from iPhone 3GS

I have lost all of my 'notes' from my iphone. I updated to the latest OS and noticed that all of my passwords etc stored as 'notes' had gone. I have tried to find a back up with no luck and have also restored from an earlier back up with no luck. Does anyone have a solution? I know that the iPhone 3GS backs up when connected to my Mac, but it only seems to keep one.

The built-in Notes app also syncs with Notes in Mail (expand the Reminders triangle in the sidebar). Perhaps they are there?

I lost notes on iPhone 5

I lost some notes on my iPhone 5. I saw I had an ods backup of my phone on my computer from iTunes from a couple months ago close to the time I had written the not. I backed up my phone on iTunes thinking I could still access the prior backup. I was wrong. Now I can't access athe older backup. Can I use Time Capsule and go back to yesterday and restore the old backup of iTunes?

I will address your second question.
First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

HT1386 lost notes from iPhone after syncing

I had the same Notes on both my iPad and my iPhone. Some made on the iPad and some made on the iPhone. Now adter syncing in iTunes I seem to have lost all my iPad made notes on my iPhone. I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.
Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac. My MobileMe emails were then sent to my iMac including all my notes backup both from my iPad and iPhone.
So my Notes are not deleted or lost, just none of my iPad notes are now on my iPhone.

On iPhone, I only seem to have: All Notes / On My iPhone / my MobileMe email address

My iPhone is 3GS. My iPad is a 2, both running the very latest iOS. Sync almost daily, never had this problem before.
Think it occured when I added MobilMe to Mail on my iMac, but don't know for sure!!

Hi, I think I have solved this problem. I discovered that the check box in iTunes for my iPhone got unchecked and this was why all my iPad and iMac notes apparently disappeared. I checked it and re-syned and they all came back. End of problem. Hopefully doing a similar thing will learn that for some reason the checkbox gets turned off under some circumstances.

I lost all my note on my iphone. What can I do? don't sync phone but do have icloud.

When you go into Settings and iCloud as I said before, you should see this screen. Move the button from off to on and it will sync that data with iCloud.

Restore lost notes on iPhone for free??

I accidentally deleted one of my "notes" on my iPhone 5 and need to restore it. I dont' backup to iTunes but I do sync to iCloud hourly. A retrieval service wants me to download and pay $99 for this retrieval but I have to believe iCloud would have a free way for me to get a file that was just backedup a few hours ago!! Right?? How can I do this for free??

Do you have a backup on your computer? If so just get a backup extractor program like iScavange (which is free).
I'm not sure what you mean by hourly; iCloud sync is continuous in real time. Unless you mean you back up to iCloud hourly (which sounds unlikely).
You cannot get a single datum from the iCloud backup, but you can restore the most recent backup. It will overwrite everything on your phone, however.
Note that a retrieval service cannot get a item out of iCloud either; they would take your money and you would get nothing.

Lost notes on iPhone 5 after disabling iCloud

I turned off iCloud and afterwards all my notes that were made after the last backup to iCloud were gone. I assume because the default setting for notes was iCloud and not the device. can I somehow recover these notes? I use notes a lot and it is a real problem that they are gone now because the last backup to iCloud was in February. please help

The IMEI number is stored in iTunes:

I can't imagine that any police agency in the world would request this information.

In brief; backup the device, recover what you can from it, download other purchases from the iTunes Store, restore the device, add content, keep a backup of your library in future.

I do not want this to happen, as with previous experience iTunes doesn't restore a mirror of what the iPhone was when it was backed up as is the case with iCloud backups.
What I am trying to do is, as I've found a method on Youtube, there is an application where I can delete all the multimedia saved in my 'iMessages' so clear up some space. As doing that manually through the phone would take a lifetime. The method is to backup on iTunes, then using the backup created, importing that into the application then deleting the messages through that then restoring the phone using that amended backup.
So back to my question, would restoring through 'Restore Backup' just restore the backup internally or would it flush the entire phone and then restore the backup? And if it does so, what would be lost in the restore?

iCloud should overwrite your phone with the data stored in your account, preserving your newer data. However, to be sure I would go to Settings>iCloud and turn data syncing to Off before restoring the backup. Then, after restoring the backup, turn the data syncing back to on, and when prompted about Merging with iCloud, choose Don't Merge. This will ensure that the data in your iCloud account overwrites the data on your phone (which is your goal).
Also, you don't sync text messages with iCloud so you will end up losing your more recent messages when they are overwritten by the backup.
