TS4062 I can't sync my ipod using windows 8.1

I upgraded to windows 8.1 because siupposedly the drivers were fixed to recognize my ipod but it won't sync my music from my itunes library to my ipod nano 6th generation. HELP please!!!

Photos sync with ipod using windows XP

I was succesfully able to sync all my 1.7 GB of photos with ipod..
but the problem is that itunes made a folder called "iPod Photo Cache" in the same folder as my pics..
but this folder is 2.01 GB.. much more than the 1.7 GB of my pictures..
the folder has various folder inside.. F00 to F50 and a photo database files..
inside these F00-F50 there are some .ithmb files and i ve no idea of wat they are..
my 1.7 GB pictures folder is actually takin 3.79 GB now..
do i need to have this folder in order to keep my photos syncronized with my ipod or is there a way to remove it..??

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. USe your backup copy to put everything on the new computer, then sync.

Howdy! I have a MacBook Laptop, with separate user accounts for each family member (ie, the list on the Login Window). We also have a family pack for MobileMe, with separate emails.
I'm getting an iPod touch, and want to set it up with my husband's MobileMe account.
Can I sync the iPod touch to the MacBook while I am logged on to my user account and iTunes? Or does he have to sync under his own log-in account?
I'd like to be able to share the apps that I have already purchased... I know they go to my iPhone and iPad within my MobileMe account just fine, but I wasn't sure if getting another iPod touch with a different email within our Family Pack would be allowed to share the apps.

That should work, just don't synch the email account with your account, set it up manually on the iPod Touch.

I can't sync my iPod after upgrading to iTunes 7 - Help!

I'm running an Intel 20" iMac with all of the latest software updates applied.
My iPod is a 30GB iPod Photo (4G) running software version 1.2.1.
I upgraded to iTunes 7 last night. Since then, I can't sync my iPod. Here's what happened/happens...
I installed iTunes 7. On first run (iPod disconnected) it checked for album art and ran through my library to determine the zero gap playback info. That all happened successfully.
When I connect my iPod (which is set to auto update), it recognizes it, and show the status page (also shows up in "devices" in left pane) and immediately a small window pops up with the text "Updating library on 'Evan's iPod'". The progress bar gets to somewhere between 30-70% and then hangs.
I left it running all night and it never finished. My only option was to Force Quit iTunes. Once I did, my iPod was still fine, and had all my music on it, just nothing new.
I've tried rebooting my computer and iPod, to no avail.
I would try reformatting my iPod, except that you can now (seemingly) only do that through iTunes (as opposed to a separate updater as in the past). Since iTunes locks up as soon as my iPod is connected, that doesn't help me much...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ok... I just tried connecting my iPod directly to a USB port on the computer rather than via the USB hub I was using and everything is fine. Odd, but I'm happy now.

There is no Info tab in Mavericks

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. If you created one or more playlists for your shuffle in your iTunes library (with the songs in the desired playlist order), you should set up automatic syncing. Here's how to do that, if you have not already...

I bought my ipod around half a year ago and had it synced and everything to my Mac for school. The school took my computer for summer and i backed up the files onto my external harddrive. But i have bought songs and apps on my ipod touch which is no longer connected to any itunes library.

Tough spot if you want Apple only SW, no idea where you can get where you want without some decent 3rd party SW, which as a rule outshines Apple's SW by light years.

TS1368 I downloaded the latest ITunes update, 10.6 I think. I can still sync my Ipod, but I can no longer access the Itunes Store. No error message, it just keeps "accessing" but nothing shows up. I've restarted my computer twice.
