Why did you restore without transferring your music to your computer?

I had the same issue until I updated my apps through iTunes. I had over 100 updates, but none of them showed on my iPod. After they updated everything started syncing like it is supposed. Go to the apps library and check for updates. After everything syncs leave your iPhone/ipod/ipad connected if the spinning arrows at the top is still spinning. It means that things are still being added. If you go to settings > general > about, you will see it loading songs, videos, photos, etc. If you back out of "about" and then go back to it you will see the numbers for each one change.

Music Rescue also works as far as restoring your playlists etc. I've used it twice, you can use the Quick Recover mode, but have to click continue trial (something like that) allot, cp. to purchase option. Otherwise diesel is right as far as restoring via your purchase history.

I saved it anyway and when I go to the Exchange email account it says "Cannot Get Mail" "The connection to the server failed." When they were not on iCloud - I found them in my EMAIL folders of all places!!! Check your emails (any emails that you may have used) and see if you can find a folder called NOTES. I couldn't believe my notes were scattered between three different e-mail accounts. If you go to SETTINGS, then Mail, contacts and calenders---check which email addresses are listed, and if any are turned ON, turn them off, then your notes won't be synced to your e-mails and will instead will go to ICloud if you have Icloud set up. Check it out, worked for me. Good luck!

After updating my iphone 3G to ios 6, I have lost all of my contacts and my picture. How do I get them back and where do I find them? I cannot locate them on my daughters pc and I have no idea where they are. I chose backup to cloud when I did the update.

I have not updated my iPhone 3G since 2010 as I do not have a computer and have to use my daughters pc. She plugged in my phone to update through iTunes (which took all night) and in the morning it was completed. We backedup to the icloud but now mu pictures and contacts are missing. We cannot locate my contacts on icloud or on the phone.
How do I locate my missing contacts and put them back ON MY PHONE. I had over 150 contacts with information like phone numbers, birthdays, and anniversaries.
Do I need to restore the phone? Are they on the cloud?????

Lost all my Outlook contacts and phone accounts

I've just about given up on the iPhone. After upgrading my 3GS to iOS 5 a month or so ago and installing iCloud on my PC, things began to go bad:
First I found that I could no longer send e-mail, since all of the out-going server settings (smtp) had disappeared. No attempts to re-enter the information seemed to work, since all would fail to verify. I took the problem to the phone's source, AT&T, and watched a support person try to restore the settings for about an hour. She eventually got one of seven accounts to work, but that fix failed within about an hour of leaving the store. I spoke to Apple support at length, but to no avail, since I was only sent a PDF of various smtp settings of which I was already aware. Still no out-going mail from this phone.
Next I found that my initial success with iCloud, and it's links to my calender and contacts, had mysteriously stopped working. Not only do my contacts and celander not sync, but my entire Outlook contact folder is empty and I can't find that data anywhere on either the phone or the PC. The iCloud configuration utility is still around, but offers no help in finding the data.
If anyone has experienced similar problems, and found some possible solutions, I'd really like to know about it.

I did a similar thing but in the other direction. Found this below (after I had already restored from a .xls I had exported of my contacts)You should do that as well, it's a small file and easily replaced. I am not sure if that works as well with Outlook. Also, I downloaded a free app to sync to the web at my.memova.com
enter one contact in the the Address Book and one calendar event in iCal on your Mac. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? If so, the first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes for the first time that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or eyeless device to the iPhone or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is not automatic, it must be manually selected.

If the content was important, why was it not backed up prior to the update?
If the content was not backed up, there is no way to recover it.

Lost all of my contacts and notice iCloud is off…if I turn it back on will iCloud put them back on my iPhone or will my iPhone update iCloud and I will lost them?

If you go to Settings>iCloud, sign into your account and turn Contacts on, the contacts on icloud.com (if there are any) will reappear on your phone.
