TS4062 Music did not sync after upgrading to IOS6

After updating to the new operating system, all my music was gone and I do not know how to sync from my Mac to my phone. I already tried connecting the phone to the Mac and syncing, but nothing changed.

I wish I had an answer for you, but the same thing happened to me. Everything else seems to sync just fine. Homemade ringtones that I made using Garage Band sync, but none of the ringtones I purchased from iTunes will sync. They're in iTunes, as you said, and they're checked. But they simply don't show up on the iPhone.

Did you try to reboot your router? I had the same problem after upgrade to iOS 6 but rebooting the router solved the problem for me. What other fixes did you try?

After upgraded to IOS6, my email setting failed to store password authentication. Everytime i have to go through the setting to send out email. Is this a bug in IOS6? I do not encounter this when my phone is still on IOS5.1.1

Best to delete and start over, and again make sure all info is correct. If it doesnt work try doing it under other, but first restart your phone, hold down the home and off button till the apple symbol comes up. Then redo the acount as stated.

My iphone 4 will not sync after upgrading to ios7

After upgrading my iphone 4 to ios7, I cannot sync with itunes. It either goes through 4 steps and then "canceling sync" or it hangs up on "waiting for files to transfer" and never gets past that. I tried some suggestions in other support articles. I synced with itunes in safe mode. I reset the phone and did a restore. Nothing seems to help. I upgraded to 7.0.2 but no changes. Please Help!

No offence, but as with quite a few others, my Iphone stopped charging on mains after iOS 7.0.4 update too.
Not sure you can categorically advise that "it simply is not a software issue" when so many different people are having the same symptoms after updating their iOS Just have a quick Google!
Luckily my (original Apple) cable will still allow recharging via USB to a laptop. So, process of elimination would point to a bricked charger that was working faultlessly up until the iOS 7.0.4 update was applied. Seems quite a stretch to be a coincidence.
Look forward to an explanation ..... and an update? ......

Itunes does not sync after upgrade to iPhone 5s from 4s, same user id

I have upgraded from iPhone 4s to 5s, but my Windows 8 laptop itunes keeps trying to sync with old iphone 4s (which I do not use anymore) and my new iphone 5s does not sync at all with itunes in Windows 8 laptop. I am using same apple id for iPhone 5s that I used for iPhone 4s. Please help me so that I can sync my iPhone 5s with the existing itunes in Windows 8 laptop.

Apparently something is not being saved somewhere and this technique forces the save. Below is a C&P from another poster describing the technique on a different thread. It's been working for him for some fifteen hours. I tried it and it's been working but it's been only ten minutes. My gut feel is that quitting and relaunching iTunes are critical steps.
With the device connected via cable, click on its icon
Uncheck WiFi syncing
Click Apply
Quit iTunes
Launch iTunes
Check WiFi syncing
Click Apply

Contacts appointments not synching after upgrading to ios6

Most of my appointments and some of my contacts aren't showing up on my iTouch after synching with my iMac since i upgraded to ios6.

Prior to iOS 6 the default map app was Google maps. With the newest version of iOS Apple replaced this with Apple Maps. The maps will look and function differently.
Please explain what happens when you try to run the new Maps app.

MP3 Music will not play after upgrade to ios 5

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 5 yesterday.... Great!
But now when I want to listen to my MP3 from the new "Music" app, the MP3 gets stuck and will not play.
I have audiobooks and videos too and both plays ok with good sound and pictures.
Can anyone help?

I fixed it by deleting the MP3 and re-loaded / re-sync it back.
It took over 2 hrs as I had over 1000 Mp3.

Photos not syncing after upgrading from Photoshop Elements 5 to 6

Since uprgading from PE 5 to PE 6 all changes I have made to my photo catalog have not been synced to my IPod 30GB.
I have a PC laptop using Win XP Pro which is always kept up-to-date automatically from Microsoft. All worked fine before the uprade to Photoshop Elements. Every time I added photos, or changed some, the next time I plugged the IPod in it would sync the changes to the IPod, but not now.
Any ideas??

Unfortunately, the Sam proposition can't work because PSE 6 as changed the catalog format from MS Access to a another DB : SQLite (http://www.sqlite.org). Triying to change values in Regedit ist just useless.
I've triying myself to copy, and rename, the new PSE 6 catalog file from :
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\[cat name]\My catalog.psedb
to
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Catalogues\My catalog.psa
With no success.
As stated by Sam, iTunes look for the catalog file located in the following Key :
[HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Organizer]
"CurrentDatabaseName"="My Catalog.psa".
In Fine, there is no (simple) solution until Apple decide to make iTunes "PSE 6 compatible".
In fact, the simplest way to transfer photo is to Export photos from the Album in a directory and then synchronize with iTunes from this Directory.
Key and path are for Vista...

Apps not restored after upgrading to IOS6

I have an iPhone 4S, which I back up automatically to iCloud. I also manually back it up to iTunes every now and then.pgrade from IOS5 to IOS6.1
Last night, I finally decided to upgrade from IOS5 (5.1.1, IIRC) to IOS 6.1. I triggered a manual backup, and applied the update. Everything appeared to go fine, except that none of my apps were restored to the phone. I still have them on my PC, and the iTunes store app is offering me the ability to restore them from the cloud, but I was under the expectation that I would not have to go through and manually reselect and reinstall every single app. I'm also not relishing the prospect of recreating the home page layout and groups that I had developed over the last year.
Is this some sort of incompatibility issue? I've never struck this problem before when upgrading. I even tried restoring an earlier backup to my PC, and restored the iPhone from that, but the apps still aren't being restored to the phone.
Right now I'm going through a Reset in case I somehow clicked the wrong during the restore phase of the upgrade, but I'm not holding my breath.
Any ideas what might have gone wrong, and/or what else I might try to fix it?

Enabling auto-sync made no difference. No matter what backup I restored from, the end result was the same - all my media and settings were restored, but no apps.
I have taken this as an omen that it was time for me to purge some of the accumulated appcruft from my iPhone. At least their settings are preserved, so when I do reinstall each one, it picks up where it was before.
Of course this begs the question of how I reclaim the space used by the settings from the apps that I will not be manually restoring.

As I said, the backup that iTunes makes does not include apps (and music) if those items where not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you restored they will not be on the iPod.

You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

I did not sync my iphone3 music to my computer. Thought I did it properly but did not. New at this stuff. Now my IT person installed and configured my new iphone4 and my music is on old phone. Anyway to get it to new phone. Help.:)

Set up your new phone as if it were the old one. Settings, mail, mobile me, same email same password that you used on old phone. You can still sync the old phone to iTunes library. You may have to click on picture of phone on the left & click on back up iPhone. You'll see songs, contacts & calendar downloading in apple slot at the top. When done connect new phone. Authorize computer put in apple ID when that screen comes up & that should allow both phones to share the library. If you use the same ID the same information will be on both phones.

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
