Not all of my playlists and songs sync from my Mac to my iphone, any ideas?
Just got through flailing with the same problem within the hour. It turned out I had music purchased with an earlier Apple ID in iTunes. My solution was to authorize the computer in iTunes with the previous ID and then all music would sync. Might try that.

what happened to my playlists? I just loaded version 11.0.4.4 and all my playlists and songs uploaded from CDs to iTunes disapeared!!!!
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library as iTunes Library (Corrupt) and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

How do I transfer my iTunes library with the playlists and song plays from a PC to a MAC
I just recently got a MacBook and I'd like to transfer my iTunes library as well as the playlists and song plays over to this computer and i was wondering how i should go about doing so.
I've found a few tutorials on how to edit the .xml files but I haven't really succeeded in doing so.Use an external HDD and copy the entire iTunes folder from the original computer to the Mac and place it in ~/Music.

My iPod still has all my music and playlists on it too. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?
Not sure. Did you open an alternate iTunes library? See here for how to navigate to and open an alternate iTunes library file, which hopefully still exists on your PC containing all your library information and such.

Hi, I cant synchronize moves downloaded from the store to my mac with the Ipad anymore after I had to reset the mac. It works for older movies still but not for new ones. I cant watch them on the mac but they just dont synchronize with the ipad. any idea?

When I update content to change in iTunes then sync my ipad, none of it changes. It seems to be specifically with music, as books come and go as selected. It happens mainly with playlists. I have itunes on a Mac Book AIr with Maverick and the ipad is the full size ipad pre Air.
The only cure I have found is restoring which only fixes it once, i.e. once i restore it then reverts to the same behaviour...Any thoughts?What folders are you talking about? Photos folders? Email folders?

Are all of the 2500 picture from your camera roll?
restoring pics back from an icloud backup, usually takes awhile couple hours or so, esp since you have 2500 pics. -

The iPhone 5 with iOS 6.x requires iTunes 10.7 or higher. iTunes 11.0.1 is the current version of iTunes. If you have an earlier version of iTunes you'll need to update iTunes before you can sync.
The latest versions of iTunes requires OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or later on your Mac. If you are running a version of OSX prior to 10.6.8 you'll need to update the OSX first. -

Did you select the contacts to sync in the Info tab of iTunes when you synced the iPad?
Or if you are using iCloud on both devices - on the iPad - Settings > iCloud > Contacts > On.

Not all photos appearing in ipad when synching from mac?
Not all my photos which I have synched from my MAC appear in the IPAD. Any ideas why?
Do you get any error message ? Have you tried deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-trying the photo sync to see if they then copy over ? The location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

Somehow, my iTunes music vanished from iTunes. I was able to restore my music from Time Machine, but I lost my playlists and song ratings. Does anyone know how I can restore the playlists and ratings? Thanks in advance for any help.
iTunes as you see it is more than just a file or two. It is all the contents of the iTunes folder including the critical library.itl file. That holds pretty much all the information about what you see when you start iTunes. You need to restore the whole iTunes folder, not just media files.

i downloaded 3 songs to my pc and sync'd my ipod and the songs do not tranfer. is this related to not having the proper itunes version vs ios? I cannot get the songs to sync, but I can move other songs to different playlists and they sync fine...any ideas what's wrong?

I have a couple of steps for you to try in order to get those songs transferred to your iPod touch. First, make sure all of your software is updated with the latest versions. If the songs were downloaded from iTunes, you will also want to delete the songs from your library and then download them again from the list of past purchases on your iTunes account. If you try a sync after those two steps and are still seeing the issue, then I would like you to try syncing the iPod by setting it to manually manage. An article outlining more information on manually managing your iPod sync can be found here:

My computer crashed with all my itunes files. I was able to get some off and transfer them to another computer. I am afraid to sync my ipod to the new computer becaused I do not want to loose all of my playlists and other music. Will this happen?
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them. -

And you are aware of the possible options for listing the months and having an optional export value for each month.
For listing the months, you can use a number, a 3 character string, or the full name.
For the export value, the full name, the 3 character value, the 1-2 number, or the 0-11 JavaScript value.
I would look at deciding how you want to populate the drop down box and build a one page form with just this field. You can then insert that page into a PDF and copy the field as needed and then delete the inserted page. Or you could create an FDF file to create the drop down box. -
I updated to the latest iOS and now YouTube and the Ap store are no longer on my phone. Also, not all my music will play and if I play a song it will actually play a different song while displaying the one I chose. Any ideas how to fix this?
You have to download the individual youtube app now. It is no longer a nataive ios app from apple in ios6
