TS4079 Siri issues - FRUSTRATED

Siri has stopped being so helpful.
She use to ask me if I wanted to reply to text messages when I received them, not she doesn't.
I get messages and she tells me I don't have any new messages...when I do.
When replying to a text message via dictation, she reads back in a totally different language which does not even come close to what I said and have to ''change'' my reply. UGH
I ask her to send that to ''insert name here'' and she says that she cannot locate. Like WHAT!!!! I know they are in my cell contacts.
Yes I am currently running the correct iOS and Yes I have turned off my cell and waited for a small period of time (2 mins) and then turned it back on but she continues to have her attitude and it's been a week now.
HELP!!!! I am seriously contemplating why the move from an Android system. I was happy with the product until this. Not enough hair dye in a box to deal with her on a daily basis.

We are only users here, and frankly are not at all concerned by the possibility of you moving to Android. Feel free and good luck. Just before you go, have you tried a reset? Restore? restore as new? These are the standard troubleshooting steps, as in the user guide. Finally, if they do do not solve the problem, take it to Apple. Or circumnavigate the system and buy Android. We really don't care.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

IPad 3 Siri Issues.

So i just purchased my iPad 3 two days ago, seems to be having a problem with Siri. She is incredibly unresponsive. Takes her about 20-30 seconds to register what ive said and about 75% of the time her response is "Sorry there was a problem please try again" I am sitting a few feet from my wireless router so that is not the issue. Any input? Sometimes she will work great for about 2 minutes but then right back to the 30 second delay and problem message.

Siri issue amending text messages

Hi does anyone else have the following issue? I dictate a text message using Siri, I need to amend the message and when I click on it to do so my keypad tones become excessively loud. Tried turning Siri on and off, resetting my phone as new - no difference. Please help!

I've never had Siri ask me anything when I pressed the home button, only when I asked her to do something. Check your settings in Preferences>General>Siri>Voice Feedback. Make sure it's set to always. That may fix your issue.

TS4079 siri sounds muffled

i upgraded my phone from iphone 4 to iphone 5c and got it today, ive set it up and everything is running perfectly, but when i went to use siri i noticed that the voice sounded weird, so i have looked online and someone said about enhancing to quality so i did but siri still talks muffled and the language is right ( british english ) any help ??

Check out the article below to troubleshoot the issue with sound coming from your speakerphone. Also check the sound from other apps to see if it is isolated to just Siri or across all apps like music and videos.

TS4079 Siri forgets who I am

SIRI never remembers who I am.
This is frustrating when I ask for simple advice like directions home.
The standard response is, "I would like to help, but I don't know who you are." and then prompts me to update my settings. I update my settings (Settings>General>Siri>My Info) and even though I can see the information is properly recorded, she still does not recognize the entry.
This is an iPhone 4S (Verizon), version 6.1.3

When you posted your response, I really thought you were incorrect, so I went back to verify that I did in fact post my question in the iPhone forum.
Needless to say, I was wrong. Thanks for noticing the error and asking for a re-post. The solution was also posted, so having those in the iPhone section will probably help someone else in the future.

I bought a new iPhone two days ago. Siri was working fine. Now it is not. Any suggestions?

The voice recognition software ("Siri") seems buggy. I've been shutting down the phone and restarting. The VR then seems to work for a week or two and then it starts having the same problem you described. Another reboot brings back the VR. I really hope Apple has noted the problem and fixes it for the next iOS update.

Siri isnt showing up in my general settings in my iphone 5 or my moms 4s. i tried turning it off than on again and its still not working. I tried getting it to work by holding down the home button and voice control keeps showing up.

Siri finds the contact, says it's calling, then comes back saying it can't make this call. This has only happened since iOS7

Didn't know I was in an ipad chat....I was referring to my iphone 5 ever since I installed iOS 7. Also, it's chosen not to text certain people.
I've looked around the net and found a lot of people with the same problem, but haven't found any solutions yet.

I have turned Siri both off/on several times. I am also connected to internet, but everytime I use Siri it says please connect to internet

I have Norton Internet Security 2005 and have not had problems except with CDDB with a proxy server.
Assuming you are using the Norton forewall, but something should work with other firewalls.
As suggested, try turning off NIS briefly and see if you can connect then. If you can try the following:
Make sure you have all updates.
Go in to the firewall settings - configure programs.
Delete references to itunes and quicktime. You may find them listed under Apple.
Restart the computer.
Then go into the firewall and manually configure these programs:
In Program Files\iTunes - iTunes.exe and iTunesHelper.exe
In Program Files\Quicktime - QuicktimePlayer.exe, qttask.exe and QTInfo.exe.
In fact for me the automatic configuration worked fine, but doing it manually seems to have worked for some people.
Another thing that can cause connectivity problems, go into Internet Explorer Tools>Internet Options>Connextions>LAN Settings and make sure that "Automatically detect settings" is checked.

I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile number

Ecuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed

Then either you have set a language under International settings that Siri doesn't support, you have an Exchange email account from your employer and they have restricted use of Siri (IBM, for example, will not allow it), or your phone is jailbroken.

Hi, i have an iPhone 4S today it decided all on its own to start some Siri/ tutorial thing it tells me to double click here, slide there etc. i can't make any calls, use my apps and it will not let me scroll through settings (where I could turn Siri off) it is very slow

Either turn Siri off before putting your iPhone in your pocket (Settings > General > Siri), or turn on auto lock (Settings > General > AutoLock --> 1 minute).
UPDATE: If you choose the AutoLock method, you also need Settings > General > Passcode Lock > Siri = "Off".
