TS4083 All my email on the cloud has disappeared - any ideas.

All my email seems to have disappeared. I'd previously moved from me to the cloud early july and all was ok. It was also working this morning - then all they disappeared. Any ideas?

If you are using apple mail  or Outlook 2007/2010 and migrated your settings from an older OS, It might be the smtp settings. Try recrating the account in apple mail using your @me.com email address for the login ID. (recomended instructions are at http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ )
If you are not using apple mail, outlook try using the following article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864
If you are now get new mail but your old mail has disapeared there is a known issue
"iCloud: Mail & Notes

A small number of users may currently be unable to access older email messages. Sending and receiving new messages is unaffected. Access to older messages affected by this issue will be restored ASAP."

I have had elements 10 for a long time but recently the scroll bar for the fonts has disappeared. any ideas?

First try resetting the tool by clicking the tiny arrow at the far left end of the options bar and choosing reset tool.
But you should be able to use the arrow keys to navigate through the fonts, too.

  • I lost all of my calender info and did not have the cloud activated. Any ideas on why that happened?  Any idea if I can get that back?

I lost all of my calender info and did not have the cloud activated. Any ideas on why that happened?  Any idea if I can get that back?

Not sure why this happened, but are you syncing calendar events direct with a supported calendar app on your computer?
If not, calendar events are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes since this data went missing, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. Do not sync with iTunes before doing so, and do not update your iPhone's backup before doing so when prompted.

  • I downloaded a update on my iPhone 5 and it's like the screen has frozen any ideas

I Downloaded a update on my iphone 5 and now the screen is frozen  any suggestions on how to fix

    Good Afternoon rossiebud,
If your iPhone is not responding after your update, try the steps in the article below.  If restarting or resetting your iPhone doesn't get you back on track, then you can reinstall the iOS by selecting Update while in recovery mode.

  • Cannot send or receive email from the cloud. all updates are competed and everything else is working fine on MAC. iPad sends and receives fine. any ideas.

On Imac I am not able to send or receive messages. All software is updated. My iPad that uses the same email address and the Cloud, sends and receives just fine. It is not "the colored" thing that is spinning but the little black and white circular icn that is spinning away. My other email address is functioning fine. It is merely the ICLOUD based email that is acting up. Any ideas?

First try deleting the account and reinstall it.

  • Mail Mac has deleted all my emails from the server..how to get them back?

Mistakenly, I've changed the options in Mail app in Mac, which says "Remove copy from server after retrieving a massage" Immediately, and it deleted all my emails from the server. Is there anyway to return all my 3000 emails back to the server? cuz I want to access them from anywhere :S it's a hotmail account.

You can create a new IMAP account in Apple Mail, and move all the messages to the IMAP folders. They are synced with the server.
I don't know if hotmail supports imap though, I would prefer Gmail.

  • HT4847 If I delete email from the cloud, is is deleted on each each of my devices. I just want to free up space on my iphone and keep my all email on my computer.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
iCloud mail is only doing what it is supposed to do. If you wish to keep mail on your computer but  remove it from your iPhone, and then move it to an "On my Mac" folder in mail on your computer.

  • Getting new iPhone 6 currently using iPhone 5s. Question, is it best to set it up as a new phone or, restore a backup from my 5s. I have all my stuff in the cloud and my music is all on iTunes match.

question, is it best to restore a backup from my 5s or, set up as a new phone. I have all my stuff in the cloud and also subscribe to iTunes match.

I have to agree with Alfred above. I had an iPhone 4 and set up my 6 as a new one. I did it in steps, getting the basic stuff like email and iCloud set up first, then adding apps, and finally loading all of my music. I feel it was worth the investment in time as I did not end up not migrating quite a few apps from the 4 to the 6.
Thinking about it, I'm not sure I could have done it from a backup since the 4 wasn't running (and can't run) iOS 8. In any case, it was never on my radar.

  • The icloud sent all my apps to the cloud - apple id disabled

i updated and synced the ipad2 with mac this morning and it has sent all my apps to the cloud. To get them back to earth I need to download again but it tells me my apple-id is disabled.
I have checked the cloud (which is not on the pad but hidden in settings) and the account is active, the payment card is correct and I restarted. What is going on here? To add insult to injury I went to the help line and needed to pay $80 to get the honor of getting some help.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone'  or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

  • Using Lync server 2010 with office 365 email in the cloud

We have a 5 year old install of Lync server 2010 in house that interacts with a local install of exchange 2008 via unified messenger. If down the road we want to try email in the cloud like office 365 can we still keep our local Lync server install? Thanks in advance.
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

I am reporting back with my solution.  I can now confirm that one can have Lync servers on-premises with Exchange Online using Office 365 and the Lync Phone Edition devices will work.  Contact search, calendar (although it only shows the day's
Lync meetings), and visual voice mail all work.
Summary of fix: AD FS certificates have to be issued by CAs that Lync Phone Edition trusts.
The problem was when the Lync Phone Edition came back and tried to log in through AD FS.  Since we had single sign-on with Office 365 set up before we even ventured down the Lync path, the certificates for AD FS weren't issued by a CA that Lync Phone
Edition trusted.  Getting new certificates solved the issue.  (They were issued by the same CA that did the "external web" certificate on the Lync Front End in case that matters.)
I tried hard to get the phones to trust the original certificate first, putting it in Active Directory using the
certutil -dsPublish method, putting the original CA on the Lync Web Services trusted list using
Set-CsWebServiceConfiguration.  But nothing seemed to work until I finally just gave up and got a new certificate issued.  I am now running without any certificates listed in Active Directory nor any explicitly listed in Lync's Get-CsWebServiceConfiguration
    and it works great.
The Technet articles are woefully out of date when it comes to the trusted CA list, but here's a link to the list of trusted CAs (with the updated firmware): http://blog.schertz.name/2014/10/lync-phone-edition-and-public-certificates/
