I recently bought an iPhone five from a family memver who upgraded to the 6. I created my own Apple id and have been downloading apps and making the phone more personal. As you do with a new phone I deleted her contacts and was sent an angry text as apparently they deleted from get iclpud and her phome as well. Is there anyway of getting these back!? theres also personal photos on the phone which are hers and now I'm afraid to delete them incase there lost aswell!? what can I do to unsync the phone from her iCloud and if I unsync it ans delete the photos will they be lost as the pics are I this phone and won't be on the iCloud anymore!?
You can’t. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure; Apple won’t remove it for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they’re alive.)
If you bought the device through a place such as Amazon or eBay, ask the people running it for a refund.

I just buy iPad 4 from guy which was posted on Craigslist and I got problem in activation process . It ask me to enter previous iPad user Apple ID and password to get access . And I tried to contact that guy for user I'd and password but he won't answer me .so anybody have idea how to solve this problem

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

There's no way around activation lock. If you can't find the previous owner you won't be able to use it.

I purchased a used ipad mini, still under warranty. despite previous owner removing the device from his apple account, when I go to register the ipad mini to my account, apple states the device is still listed under previous owner. Contact the Apple suport number for your location from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask for their help is getting this registration straightened out...you will probably need to be able to send them proof of purchase for the iPad Mini.

No. the iOS7 Activation Lock cannot be bypassed. You would need to get in touch with the previous owner to get their details. Otherwise return the device to the seller and demand a refund as the iPad is basically useless and should not be sold in that sate.

Either you need to contact the previous owner to release the phone from Find My iPhone, or if you cannot contact the previous owner, it is likely you received a stolen iPhone and it will be useless to you. -
I purchased and Apple Iphone 4S 8g from a girl and it is still linked to her boyfriends Apple ID. He is in basic training and can not be contacted to find out the needed information to unhook the phone from his Find my Iphone. How can I go around needing that info to activate the phone under me so it can be used? I have already tried the Forgot passcode for your iphone and successfully restored the phone but it didnt fix the needing Apple ID of previos owner problem.
You need to send the person who set the lock these instructions and get that person to follow them. If neither the person who set the lock nor the device's original owner can be reached, it's useless to you.
Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the device's original owner. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.

Unless you have the previous owners password you cannot remove the Apple ID. The previous owner did not correctly prepare that iPhone For sale and needs to remove all information. If the Activation Lock is not set by turning on Find My Phone in Settings, iCloud, you can go to Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings to get rid of it. If Find My Phone is on, only the previous owner can clear it.

Used g5, erased hard drive still has the previous owner user account
I bought a used g5 and also got the original install disks. I used disk utility and erased the empty space. However when I inserted the install disk it says it will restart but it first wants the password. The previous owner cannot remember his password in the user accounts. When I try to re-install the OS it asks for the password first. How can I write over the user account or completely initialize the disk or do you have to have the password for that?
The previous owner has apparently implemented an Open Firmware Password without which you cannot boot the computer nor start it up from a CD/DVD installer. The previous owner needs to provide you that password. The OF Password is not the same as the user account password. Surely the previous owner could not forget the OF Password or he/she could never use the computer.
How were you able to "use Disk Utility" if you could not boot the computer? -

What are your talking about? If Find My iPhone is turned on, and you do not know the password for the owner's Apple ID, then you cannot delete the iCloud account. Period.

It's called an "activation lock." It's an anti-theft mechanism. It makes the iPad/iPod/iPhone worthless to a thief. Having said that, there are issues faced by legitimate owners. In those instances, Apple will remove the lock if AND ONLY IF the owner provides a government photo ID and incontrovertible proof (i.e., proof that will hold up in court) that he/she is the owner.
