TS4147 iCloud is switched on in my iPhone and iPad but contacts only on iPhone, any suggestions.
The only information I want to copy from my iPhone to my IPad is the details in my contacts app..
iCloud is switched on in both devices and both been plugged into my laptop my they have not been copied.
Any suggestions please?

Are you unable to see documents on the cloud on both of your devices- iPad and iPhone?
Try opening cloud.acrobat.com and check if your files are synchronized on the server ?

I use Windows XP on a netbook, have never had an issue with this before downloading 4, and can't think of any way to not have the tab I just opened pop up on top instead of leaving me on the page i was on, and opening in the background.
This issue can be caused by an extension.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

ThanksThe inkjet spam email is the same one that is causing my iPad's issue! I'm having the exact same problem as you're having --touching the email or having the email at the top of the screen freezes/shuts down ipad. I've been to two Apple stores and no one seems to know what's going on, plus, they claim they haven't heard of this problem i suggested they go to the Apple Commnity to get a feel for what's going on.

My mac mini is not updating its software to OSX Lion v10.7.5, which I need for iCloud. I would like to use iCloud on my desktop along with my iphone and ipad but the auto updates are only upto 10.6.8.

how do I continue to use Mail on my MacBook2? i use iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but cannot receive my Mail account on my older MacBook. I have followed the iCloud/move link as suggested but it doesn't give me the continue to use Mail option. Any help gratefully received.

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

ICloud working in Mac and iPad, but not in iPhone
Brand new iPhone 4S, ipod2, and MacBook just set up iCloud. Syncing of calendars, contacts and mail are working fine in iPad and MacBook, but data only flows one way on iPhone. If I add an appointment on iPhone, it hits the other two devices - but if I add on the MacBook or iPad, it doesn't go to the iPhone.
Help!First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Check your Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars
Make sure the iPhone indicates that you are indeed subscribed to that missing calendar.
If it says you are you might try deleting that calendar from the list on the iPhone the re subscribing to it. -
I'm now having trouble getting mac mail to work on my mac. The mobile me account works great on iphone and ipad but it won't connect to my mail account. Password is correct. What else can I do? Using OS10.68

The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as Jabber Name/ID. (Google Run Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another. (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

I can update data from my Mac to my iPhone and iPad, and from my iPhone to my Mac and iPad, but cannot get data to update from my iPad to either my Mac or my iPhone.
If new calendar events entered on your iPad do not appear on icloud.com, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your iPad and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Gmail or Yahoo calendar, etc. If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your iPad to your calendar on icloud.com. Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date with your iPad, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a 15 seconds or so, turn Calendars back to On. Then add a new event on your iPad and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now, and on your other devices. -
Contacts sync on iphone and ipad but not on Macbook
Hi guys, maybe someone can help me out wit this this problem.
I have the iPhone 4s, Ipad3 and a PC, iCloud was working operfectly bewteen all devices. I recentlky bought the new Macbook air and when I turned iCloud on all my contacts cam in automaticaly.
My surprise came later when I realized that not all contacts where in my Mac. I checked my iPhone and Ipad and all where there. I then checked iCloud.com and not all my contacts where there. So this is very strange. I cloud transferred the contacs bewteen my iphone and Ipad but not into iCloud.com and to my Mac.
I did a test with one of the contacts and deleted and create it again and then this was transferred to iCloud and to my Mac, but I really do not want to do this with all my contacts.
Anyone can help me out with this???

MichelPOP mail is not synced. POP mail is picked up individually by each email client. If you want to pick up less on one device than the other, set the one device you want to master the account with to delete mail from the server after you pick it up. That way, it would not be available to the other mail clients. Otherwise, you would need to delete whatever mail you do not want on the individual devices. You can also keep in on whatever devices you want and it will not affect the other devices.

Just updated to new iOS 6 on iPhone 3G. Get 'can't connect to iTunes' message. Tried the setting date and time trick but still no success. Any suggestions for 3G iPhone?
also must mention i have never had trouble that i couldn't fix on itunes but all of this has started since i have been using icloud for basic backups hope this helps solve problem

At this point you have the option of keeping a device optimized version (lower resolution version) of your photo on your phone while iCloud stores a full resolution version. Or keeping the full resolution version on both your phone and the iCloud. If you delete the photo on your phone it will be deleted on the iCloud. I know, bummer. Also it should be noted that the photos app and the library are still in beta and to this point i see why. I would use dropbox or a smiliar app for off device storage.
So far this is how it has been working/not working for me. Whether or not I choose to keep originals or optimized on my phone it will only keep the originals and it has only been uploading lower resolution versions of my photos to the iCloud library. Seems to be working in reverse.
Again these are still in beta so i am hopeful that this will be fixed in the near future.

An email sent from my iMac has a button linked to a clip hosted on Vimeo. When received, the link functions on iMac and iPad, but opens a window of app icons on iPhone and iPod touch. Any ideas what's wrong?
For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions. -
My apple id shows to be disabled on iphone and ipads but workd on PC. Have tried changing password on PC and signing out and back in on devices with no results. How do I reenable my ID so I can update and purchase apps?
