TS4148 I need to change the mobile data network from Vodafone to orange I need the passwords and address to do it my self

I'm trying to find out the mobile data network info on my iPhone 3GS it's on Vodafone at the moment but I want to use my orange sim so I need to change the pan details help

Assumption ...you are in UK
If you purchased the iPhone from Vodafone it will be locked to them
You will need to request they unlock the iPhone before you can use
it on Orange no other way
In UK Apple are the ONLY source of unlocked new iPhones

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I bought a new iPhone 4 last month, totally fell in love with it untill there was this problem regarding the apn disappearing. I manually added the apn info and it worked fine for some time but soon after I disabled the mobile data/3g connection and enabled it later I always use to get a msg saying "Could not activate mobile data network" even after it being active( 3g symbol always used to be poped up at the top). Though the apn is filled with a valid data it shows me the same msg over and over again. It some times works on rebooting but the rebooting the handset everytime i want to use the connection sounds very pestering. Please suggest me with somehting to get rid of this problem...

My HTC One m8 is not connecting to the mobile data network.

WiFi works, I can make phone calls, but I can't access internet at all while not connected to WiFi. yes, mobile data is on (but disconnected). I've tried LTE, CDMA, Global, and no available network mode works at all. Please help =(

Sorry for any trouble with your data. Let's look into this OK? Please turn on your mobile data and try again to access the internet. When accessing the internet, either Wifi or VZW data has to be turned on.

I updated my ipad to ios 6.0.1 and from there on the issue started. At home I use the Wi-Fi to connect to the internet the wi-fi icon was the only icon on display. Little did I know I was also on the mobile date network Telstra 3G also, and there more

I'm rapped in my ipad, I work with it every day. It's so handy and I have a lot of fun with it as well; so that's the up side of it.
The down side is, emailing for some reason when I send a email. I get two copy's sent back to me and my iphone as well and the email don't get sent. My iphone and office 2007 and ipad are having sync issues.
I can't work the configuration with Icloud.
My ipad and iphone was working ok, I updated to ios 6.0.1 and than the problme s started with the iphone and the ipad.
There little issue will not stop me for updateing to newer models.
I need some help or advice, but there just too much to read on the web-site.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

After update 4.2.1 unable to access mobile data network

yesterday, i have updated to 4.2.1
Today, i have activated the flight modus for a while...
Then go back into the normal modus (flight modus off). Now, the access to the mobile data network is never possible. Access via WIFI is allways ok.
Now, i have made the same with a second 3GS with 4.2.1 and the problem is reproducible. Message > " mobile data network could not be activated "

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand it can be very frustrating when you cannot sign in, or sign out in this case, to your Apple ID. In this situation you may need to temporarily edit your Apple ID back to the original email address so that you can sign out. Once signed out, edit the Apple ID back to the new email address and sign in. Please use the attached article for further information.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
If you're still asked for your previous Apple ID password, continue to the next step.

I'm not sure what is going on but try this.
Open a program which allows you to edit text (on Windows I would suggest NotePad but I don't know what to use on MAC) You want a very simple text editor.
Type your username as you want it.
Highlight it and copy it to the clipboard. Go to the log on page and paste in the name from the clipboard.
Maybe that will work.
All I can think of about the first character becoming an upper case character is that it reminds me of some word processing programs - such as Word or Works - which always assume the first word of a sentence will begin with a capital letter and they change it for you.
I don't know why this would be happening in your case, but that is what it reminds me of.
Is there a spelling add-on or plug-in that might be coming into play here?
I assume that you have no problems at work (you say this is happening on your home computer) so I would begin to look at differences between the two as to software installed, browser add-ons and plug-ins, etc.
Maybe someone at the computer department at the school can help you track this down.

Swipe up still doesn't reveal the mobile data icon in iOS8

I frequently need to switch on and off mobile data on my iphone 5S, which I find to be an unnecessarily messy operation. I was hoping that Apple would have realised this by now and included the mobile data icon as a shortcut for when we swipe up from the bottom of the screen (rightly next to the wi-fi icon). Am I the only person who feels this need? Is there a way around this? Thanks.

Share os10 wifi connection (not the mobile data)

Hello Gentlemen, Quick question: how to share the wifi connection of my bbz10 with tethering or mobile hotspot or whatever. I am connected to a wifi netwrok with the phone and I want to share this wifi with my laptop (unfortunately I cant connect ti this network with my laptop). I do not want to use the mobile data, but if I press tethering it tries to force me to enable mobile data. cheers.

Nope...the HotSpot function works by using the carrier data network connection on the device for any other devices connected to the devices WiFi hotspot. When the hotspot is activated, the ability for the device to use WiFi for data is deactivated. There is no bridge between WiFi data for the device and other devices connected via WiFi.
